Travel Information

Combined package of a Nile cruise on the MS Nile Excellence and a beach holiday including all intermediate transfers. Accommodation in the hotel will always be in the cheapest available room category. If the Nile cruise is booked first, the inbound flight must be to Luxor. If the hotel is booked first and then the Nile cruise, the return flight must be from Luxor.

The travel offer you have selected lasts for 14 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always for seven days according to the program. The pre- and post-cruise stay at the hotel depends on your arrival day and embarkation day. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and harbor are included.

When booking the MS Nile Excellence, the following excursions are automatically included: Valley of the Kings, Kom Ombo Temple, and a visit to the High Dam in Aswan.

Day 1:
Arrival and embarkation. In the afternoon, visit the Luxor Museum (3). Dinner and overnight on board in Luxor.
Day 2:
A hot air balloon ride is possible at 5 am (optional, bookable locally).
In the morning, after breakfast, excursion to West Thebes to the Temple of Hatshepsut (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon sailing to Edfu. Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 3:
Continuing sailing to Kom Ombo in the morning.
Lunch on board and visit to the double temple (1,2,3).
Sailing on to Aswan, dinner and overnight on board.
Day 4:
In the morning, after breakfast, visit the Aswan High Dam (1,2,3).
Then visit the Temple of Philae by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon felucca ride on the Nile (1,2,3).
Then visit a Nubian village (3).

Day 5:
Early morning at 3:30 am, opportunity for an excursion to Abu Simbel by bus (2,3), breakfast pack included.
Then back to Kom Ombo.

Day 6:
Breakfast on board. The ship then continues to Esna. Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 7:
Breakfast. You then have the opportunity to visit the Temple of Edfu (1,2,3).
Afterwards, the ship sails on to Luxor.
Upon arrival, you have the opportunity to visit the East Bank with the Luxor Temple (1,2,3) and Karnak Temple (1,2,3). There is an opportunity for a sound and light show at Karnak Temple (optional, can be booked on-site).

Facilities

The MS Nile Excellence has a total of 30 modernly furnished exterior cabins spread across several decks. The reception area is bright and elegantly designed and features a reception desk. Enjoy culinary delights in the main restaurant and savor refreshing drinks served by the three bars on board. Additionally, there is a small bazaar and a cozy reading corner. From Winter 2024/25, the ship will feature a small fitness studio, freely accessible to all guests on board. To make your vacation perfect, you can relax on loungers on the sun deck or cool off in the pool while enjoying the breathtaking views of the landscape along the Nile.

Accommodation

Suite

The cheerfully furnished suites (S2) are approx. 24 sqm and feature a shower/WC, hairdryer, two single beds or one double bed, air conditioning (individually adjustable), minibar, safe, TV, telephone (for a fee), seating area, and French balcony. Also available for single occupancy (1SA).

Royal Suite

The Royal Suites (RS) have the same amenities as the suites but are larger (approx. 37 sqm). The Royal Suites are located on the middle and upper decks. The Royal Suites also feature a small table and two chairs on the balcony.

Single Suite

The Single Suites (S1) are approx. 13 sqm and otherwise equipped like the suites, but with only one single bed and no seating area.

Economy Suite

The Economy Suites (S2Z) are slightly smaller (approx. 21 sqm) with otherwise the same amenities as the suites, possibly without a French balcony and without a seating area, but with a non-opening window.

The True Beach Resort, consisting of the "True Beach Resort" (bookable under RMF333, completely renovated) and the True Beach Village (bookable under RMF444, newly built), opened its doors for the first time in December 2023. The complex, designed in an Arab Bohostyle, is located south of Marsa Alam on a beautiful stretch of coast with a bay in front boasting crystal-clear water, situated directly on the beach. Offshore coral reefs invite snorkeling. Marsa Alam Airport is about 90 kilometers from the hotel.

Facilities

The schauinsland-reisen original hotel was built in an elegant Bohemian style, combined with modern Arabic accents, offering a unique design in Egypt. The 5-star complex consists of two parts: the "True Beach Resort," which is particularly suitable for families, and the "True Beach Village" as an adults-only area, bookable for ages 16 and above. The complex has a total of 158 rooms, distributed across both areas, and offers a spacious reception area with a reception desk and a lobby bar "True Lobby Bar" with seating both indoors and outdoors (located in the resort). On the first floor of the lobby is a rooftop bar "Sama Bar". The Village area of the resort (adults-only) is surrounded by a spacious water landscape and offers a total of 4 different main pools that run throughout the complex and are also the pools for the swim-up rooms, as well as an infinity pool offering views of the crystal-clear bay (all pools are heated). In the middle of the pool landscape, you will find the pool bar "Scarab Bar" as well as the Oriental restaurant "El Tawla" and a chaise lounge. Guests of the Village section also have access to a Greek restaurant "ILIOS" and an Asian restaurant "NORI", both located on the beach. On the beach, guests can also find the bars "ILIOS Bar" and "Salt Bar". Furthermore, guests of the Village section also have access to the main restaurant "El Manzil" and the seafood restaurant "Ritsa" (both located in the resort area). The resort area has two spacious pools and a jacuzzi integrated into the main pool (main pool heated in winter). An island in the main pool, accessible via a wooden bridge, offers chill-out areas with loungers and beanbags for all ages. Additionally, the complex features the pool bar "Maya," a theater offering various entertainment programs in the evening, as well as several shops, a hairdresser, and a spa area. Guests of the Village section can use both areas, but not vice versa. Loungers, umbrellas, and beach towels are included by the pool and on the beach.

Swim Up Seafront Suite (Adult Only)

With the same amenities as the 2SU, these (W2Q) are located on the beach and have access to the swim-up pool (heated) and direct sea views. Also available for single occupancy (W1Q).

Alternatively, guests can also enjoy an à la carte breakfast daily in the Village area (adults only) at the Greek restaurant. Snacks are offered from 10:30 am to 5 pm in the outdoor area. Tea time from 3-4 pm with cake and fine pastries at the lobby bar.
