Travel information

Combination package consisting of a Nile cruise on the MS Nile Excellence and a beach holiday, including all transfers between services. Accommodation at the hotel is always provided in the most reasonably priced available room category. If the Nile cruise is booked first, the outbound flight must be to Luxor. If the hotel is booked first and then the Nile cruise, the return flight must be from Luxor.

The travel offer you have chosen has a duration of 14 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always for seven days according to the program. When booking the MS Nile Excellence, the following excursions are automatically included: Valley of the Kings, Kom Ombo Temple, and a visit to the High Dam in Aswan.

At 5 a.m., a hot air balloon ride is possible (optional, bookable on site).
In the morning, after breakfast, excursion to Thebes-West to the Hatshepsut Temple (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon cruise to Edfu. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
3rd Day:
Morning departure for Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board and visit to the Double Temple (1,2,3).
Continue to Aswan, dinner and overnight stay on board.
4th Day:
Morning after breakfast, visit to the Aswan High Dam (1,2,3).

Facilities

The MS Nile Excellence has a total of 30 modernly furnished outside cabins, spread over several decks. The reception area is bright and elegantly designed and features a front desk. Indulge in culinary delights at the main restaurant and enjoy cool drinks served by the three bars on board. Furthermore, a small bazaar and a cozy reading corner are at your disposal. From winter 2024/25, the ship will have a small fitness studio that is freely accessible to all guests on board. To make your holiday perfect, you can relax on the sun loungers on the sun deck or cool off in the pool while enjoying the dreamlike view of the landscape along the Nile.

Suite

The friendly furnished suites (S2) are approx. 24 m² and feature a shower/WC, hairdryer, two single beds or one double bed, air conditioning (individually adjustable), minibar, safe, TV, telephone (for a fee), seating area, and a French balcony.

Royal Suite

The Royal Suites (RS) offer the same facilities as the suites but are larger (approx. 37 m²). The Royal Suites are located on the middle deck and upper deck.
In the Royal Suites, there is also a small table and two chairs on the balcony.

Single Suites

The single suites (S1) are approx. 13 m² and otherwise have the same facilities as the suites, but with only one single bed and no seating area.

Economy Suite

The economy suites (S2Z) are somewhat smaller (approx. 21 m²) with otherwise the same facilities as the suites and may not have a French balcony or seating area, but feature a non-opening window.

The True Beach Resort, which consists of the sections „True Beach Resort“ (bookable under RMF333, completely renovated) and the True Beach Village (bookable under RMF444, newly built), opened its doors for the first time in December 2023. The complex, designed in an Arabic boho style, is located south of Marsa Alam and sits on a dreamlike coastal section with a bay in front with crystal-clear water on the beachfront. Offshore coral reefs invite you to go snorkeling. The Marsa Alam airport is about 90 kilometers away from the hotel.

Facilities

The schauinsland-reisen original hotel was built in an elegant Bohemian style, paired with modern Arabic accents, thus offering a unique design in Egypt. The 5-star complex consists of two sections: the "True Beach Resort," which is particularly suitable for families, and the "True Beach Village" as an adults-only area, which is bookable from age 16. The complex has a total of 158 rooms distributed across both sections and offers a spacious reception area with front desk as well as a lobby bar "True Lobby Bar" with seating in the interior as well as in the outdoor area (located in the resort). On the first floor of the lobby, there is a rooftop bar "Sama Bar." The village area of the resort (adults-only) is surrounded by a spacious water landscape and offers a total of 4 different main pools that lead through the entire complex and are also the pools for the swim-up rooms, as well as an infinity pool that offers a view of the crystal-clear bay (all pools are heatable). In the middle of the pool landscape, the pool bar "Scarab Bar" awaits you, as well as the oriental restaurant "El Tawla" and a chaise lounge. Guests of the village section also have access to a Greek restaurant "ILIOS" as well as an Asian restaurant "NORI," both located on the beach. On the beach, guests can additionally expect the "ILIOS Bar" and "Salt Bar." Furthermore, guests of the village section have access to the main restaurant "El Manzil" and the fish restaurant "Ritsa" (both located in the resort area). The resort area has two spacious pools as well as a whirlpool integrated into the main pool (main pool heatable in winter). An island in the main pool, reachable via a wooden bridge, offers chill-out areas with loungers and beanbags for all ages. Furthermore, the complex has the pool bar "Maya," a theater that offers various entertainment programs in the evening, as well as various shops, a hairdresser, and a spa area. Sports included
