Travel information

Combination package consisting of a Nile cruise on the MS Nile Excellence and a beach holiday, including all intermediate transfers. Accommodation at the hotel is always provided in the most economical available room category. If the Nile cruise is booked first, the arrival flight must be to Luxor. If the hotel is booked first and the Nile cruise afterwards, the return flight must be from Luxor.

Notice

The travel offer you have selected has a duration of 10 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always provided for seven days according to the program. The pre- and post-stay at the hotel depends on your arrival day and the embarkation day. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

Route

When booking the MS Nile Excellence, the following excursions are automatically included: Valley of the Kings, Kom Ombo Temple, and a visit to the High Dam in Aswan.

Day 1:
Arrival and embarkation. Afternoon visit to the Luxor Museum (3). Dinner and overnight on board in Luxor.
Day 2:
A hot air balloon ride is possible at 5 a.m. (optional, can be booked on site).
In the morning, after breakfast, excursion to Thebes-West to the Hatshepsut Temple (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
In the afternoon, sail to Edfu. Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 3:
Morning cruise to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board and visit to the double temple (1,2,3).
Continue to Aswan, dinner and overnight on board.
Day 4:
In the morning after breakfast, visit the Aswan High Dam (1,2,3).
Then visit the Philae Temple by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon felucca ride on the Nile (1,2,3).
Then visit a Nubian village (3).
Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 5:
Early in the morning at 3:30 a.m., opportunity for an excursion to Abu Simbel by bus (2,3), breakfast box is included.
Then back to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board. Overnight and dinner on board.
Day 6:
Breakfast on board. Afterward, the ship sails on to Esna. Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 7:
Breakfast. Afterward, you have the opportunity to visit the Edfu Temple (1,2,3).
Then the ship continues to Luxor.
Once there, you have the opportunity to visit the East Bank with the Luxor Temple (1,2,3) and the Karnak Temple (1,2,3). There is an opportunity for a Sound and Light show at the Karnak Temple (optional, can be booked on site).

Departure.

Facilities

The MS Nile Excellence has a total of 30 modern outside cabins distributed over several decks. The reception area is bright and elegantly designed and features a reception desk. Let yourself be spoiled with culinary delights in the main restaurant and enjoy the cool drinks served by the three bars on board. Furthermore, a small bazaar and a cozy reading corner are available to you. From winter 2024/25, the ship will have a small gym, which is freely accessible to all guests on board. To make your holiday perfect, you can relax on the sun loungers on the sun deck or cool off in the pool and enjoy the fantastic view of the landscape along the Nile.

Accommodation

Suite

The friendly furnished suites (S2) are approx. 24 m² and feature shower/WC, hairdryer, two single beds or one double bed, air conditioning (individually adjustable), minibar, safe, TV, telephone (for a fee), seating area, and a French balcony.
Also bookable for single use (1SA).

Royal Suite

The Royal Suites (RS) have the same facilities as the suites, but are larger (approx. 37 m²). The Royal Suites are located on the middle deck and upper deck.
In the Royal Suites, there is also a small table and two chairs on the balcony.

Single Suite

The single suites (S1) are approx. 13 m² and otherwise equipped the same as the suites, but with only one single bed and no seating area.

Economy Suite

The economy suites (S2Z) have the same facilities as the suites but are somewhat smaller (approx. 21 m²) and possibly without a French balcony and without a seating area, but with a non-opening window.

Breakfast, lunch, and dinner as a buffet or set menu.
Breakfast includes soft drinks and hot beverages. For lunch and dinner, two soft drinks as well as a small bottle of water per person are included.

SUNRISE Anjum Resort Grand Select

Location

Clear sea with beach and hotel buildings on the horizon under blue sky.
The newly built SUNRISE Anjum Resort Grand Select, which opened for the first time in April 2024, impresses with its modern Bohemian style. The resort is located directly on the dreamlike, hotel-owned sandy lagoon beach and thus offers the perfect conditions for snorkelers and divers. The jetty makes it easy to enter deeper water. Marsa Alam airport is about 90 kilometers away from the hotel.

Facilities

This schauinsland-reisen original hotel was built in a noble Bohemian style and has 203 rooms and suites, which are distributed over different buildings. The complex has a reception with seating and an associated outdoor terrace. In the outdoor area of the complex, there are five different pools, including a splash pool, an infinity whirlpool, an adult-only pool (Oasis pool), as well as an island pool and kidspool (all pools can be heated in winter). The restaurants include the Boscage Restaurant (international cuisine, open buffet), the à-la-carte restaurant "Manzoku" (Asian cuisine), and the "Basilico", which serves as an international à-la-carte restaurant until evening and as an Italian à-la-carte restaurant in the evening. All à-la-carte restaurants are included and can be visited daily with a reservation. Snacks are available to guests at the "Indigo Terrace" bar. A total of seven different bars, one of which is adults-only, offer a selection of drinks. Additionally, the holiday resort features a spa area, a gym, a beauty salon, a miniclub, and various shops.

The rooms (2FS) have the same equipment features as the double room Superior but are larger (approx. 50 m²) and consist of two bedrooms, separated by a door (one with a queen-size bed and one with two single beds), a bathroom with a shower, and a terrace.

Junior suite

Same facilities as the double room Superior, but more spacious (JS2, approx. 55 m²) and with a living area.
Also bookable for single use (1YZ).

Executive suite

The Executive suites have similar equipment features to the double room Superior but are larger (ES2, approx. 70 m²). The rooms feature a bedroom with a queen-size bed, a dressing room, a bathroom with a separate shower, a seating area, and a terrace.
Also bookable as a swim-up room with direct access to the sharing pool (EXG).
Rooms with direct pool/sea access pose an increased safety risk for young children.

Deluxe Beach Front

The rooms (S2U) are approx. 45 m² and feature a terrace with similar equipment to the double rooms. The rooms are located in immediate proximity to the beach and feature a bedroom with a queen-size bed as well as a living room.

Anjum Jacuzzi suite sea view

The Anjum Jacuzzi suite (S2J) is approx. 80 m² and consists of a bedroom with a queen-size bed as well as a living room. With otherwise similar features, the rooms additionally have a balcony with a Jacuzzi and a view of the sea.

The main restaurant "Boscage" offers breakfast including coffee and tea as well as various freshly squeezed juices (7 a.m.-10:30 a.m.), lunch (1 p.m.-3 p.m.), and dinner (7 p.m.-10 p.m.) in buffet form. As needed, the following à-la-carte restaurants are also unlimitedly included for you (subject to availability with prior reservation): "Basilico" (12:30 p.m.-5 p.m. international cuisine, 7 p.m.-10 p.m. Italian cuisine) as well as "Manzoku", which is open from 6:30 p.m.-10 p.m. and offers Asian cuisine.
