Travel information

Combination package consisting of a Nile cruise on the MS Lady Carol and a beach holiday, including all intermediate transfers. Accommodation at the hotel is always provided in the most reasonably priced available room category. If the Nile cruise is booked first, the outbound flight must be to Luxor. If the hotel is booked first followed by the Nile cruise, the return flight must be from Luxor.

Notice

The holiday package you have selected has a duration of 12 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always provided for seven days according to the program. The pre- and post-stay at the hotel depends on your arrival day and the embarkation day. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

Depending on the day of embarkation, the itinerary may shift.

Day 1:
Arrival and embarkation. Afternoon visit to the Luxor Museum (3). Dinner and overnight on board in Luxor.
Day 2:
Sightseeing of the East Bank in Luxor. At 5 a.m., hot air balloon trip (optional, can be booked on site).
Breakfast, tour of the East Bank, the Karnak and Luxor Temples (1,2,3).
Lunch on board.
Dinner and overnight on board in Luxor.
Day 3:
Sightseeing of the West Bank. In the morning after breakfast, excursion to Thebes-West to the Temple of Hatshepsut (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Late evening, sail to Esna. Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 4:
Continue sailing from Esna.
Then continue to Aswan, where the overnight stay takes place.
Lunch, dinner, and overnight on board.
Day 5:
Morning after breakfast, visit to the Aswan High Dam and the Old Dam in Aswan (1,2,3).
Then visit the Philae Temple by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon felucca trip on the Nile (1,2,3).
Afterwards, opportunity to visit a Nubian village with the desert on one side and the Nile on the other (3).
Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 6:
You have the opportunity to explore Abu Simbel (2,3). Sail to Kom Ombo with a visit to the double temple (1,2,3). Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 7:
Continue to Esna and visit the Temple of Edfu (1,2,3). Overnight on board.

Arrival in Luxor. Departure.

Facilities

The ship features a welcoming reception and a total of 72 beautiful exterior cabins spread over several decks. The main restaurant provides delicious meals. The offer is complemented by a cozy lounge bar. A small bazaar invites you to stroll and browse. On the spacious sun deck, there is a large pool and a bar. Bath towels are included on board.

Cabins

The tastefully furnished cabins (K2) are approx. 19 m² in size and feature a bathroom with bath/WC, hairdryer, telephone, satellite TV, video system, air conditioning, minibar, and safe.
The cabins can also be booked for single use (K1 or KA1).

Economy cabins

The economy cabins (EK2) are equipped like the standard cabins, but are located on the lower decks and feature a small porthole.

Single cabin

With the same features as the cabins, but slightly smaller (approx. 13 m²) and with only one bed (K1B). The window cannot be opened.

SUNRISE Anjum Resort Grand Select

Location

Clear sea with beach and hotel buildings on the horizon under blue sky.
The newly built SUNRISE Anjum Resort Grand Select, which opened in April 2024, impresses with its modern Bohemian style. The resort is located directly on the beautiful, hotel-owned lagoon sandy beach and therefore offers perfect conditions for snorkelers and divers. The pier facilitates easy access to deeper water. Marsa Alam airport is located about 90 kilometers from the hotel.

Facilities

This Schauinsland-Reisen original hotel was built in an elegant Bohemian style and features 203 rooms and suites spread across various buildings. The complex has a reception area with seating and an accompanying outdoor terrace. In the outdoor area of the complex, there are five different pools, including a splash pool, an infinity whirlpool, an adult-only pool (Oasis Pool), as well as an island pool and a kids' pool (all pools are heatable in winter). The restaurants include the Boscage Restaurant (international cuisine, open buffet), the à la carte restaurant "Manzoku" (Asian cuisine), and the "Basilico," which operates as an international à la carte restaurant during the day and as an Italian à la carte restaurant in the evening. All à la carte restaurants are included and can be visited daily with a reservation. Snacks are available to guests at the "Indigo Terrace" bar. A total of seven different bars, one of which is adults-only, offer a selection of drinks. Additionally, the holiday resort features a spa area, a gym, a beauty salon, a kids' club, as well as various shops.

Superior double room

The modern rooms (DSU, approx. 40 m²) are equipped with shower/WC, hairdryer, air conditioning, satellite TV, telephone (for a fee), coffee/tea maker, Wi-Fi, safe, minibar, seating area, and balcony.
Also bookable for single use (DEU) and single with child (1DS).

Family room with bunk bed

The family rooms (2FA) have the same features as the superior double rooms and include a bunk bed.

The rooms (2FS) have the same features as the superior double rooms, but are larger (approx. 50 m²) and consist of two bedrooms separated by a door (one with a queen-size bed and one with two single beds) and a bathroom with a shower and a terrace.

Junior suite

With the same features as the superior double rooms, but more spacious (JS2, approx. 55 m²) and with a living area.
Also bookable for single use (1YZ).

With the same features as the superior double rooms, but more spacious (2YZ, approx. 60 m²), with a small seating area and a terrace with access to a small private pool. Bookable for single use (1YZ).

Executive suite

The executive suites are larger (ES2, approx. 70 m²) with features similar to the superior double rooms. The rooms feature a bedroom with a queen-size bed, dressing room, bathroom with a separate shower, seating area, and terrace.
Also bookable as a swim-up room with direct access to the sharing pool (EXG).
Rooms with direct pool/sea access present an increased safety risk for young children.

With the same features as the superior double rooms, but more spacious (SUJ, approx. 60 m²). Additionally, these rooms have access to the shared swim-up pool. Also bookable for single use (SUE).

Deluxe beach front

The rooms (S2U) are approx. 45 m² in size and have a terrace, with features similar to the double rooms. The rooms are located in the immediate vicinity of the beach and feature a bedroom with a queen-size bed as well as a sitting area.

Anjum jacuzzi suite sea view

The Anjum Jacuzzi Suite (S2J) is approx. 80 m² in size and consists of a bedroom with a queen-size bed as well as a sitting area. Otherwise similar to the other rooms, they additionally feature a balcony with a jacuzzi and a view of the sea.

The main restaurant "Boscage" offers you breakfast, including coffee and tea as well as various freshly squeezed juices (7 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.), lunch (1 p.m. - 3 p.m.), and dinner (7 p.m. - 10 p.m.) in buffet form. As needed, the following à la carte restaurants are also unlimitedly included (depending on availability, with prior reservation): "Basilico" (12:30 p.m. - 5 p.m. international cuisine, 7 p.m. - 10 p.m. Italian cuisine) as well as "Manzoku," which is open from 6:30 p.m. - 10 p.m. and offers Asian cuisine. At the "Indigo Bar," coffee, tea, and cake are offered daily from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. A midnight snack is available to guests from 11 p.m. to 1 a.m. in the Boscage restaurant. Local non-alcoholic drinks are available at one of the seven different bars around the clock (one of the bars is adult-only). Local alcoholic drinks are included from 10 a.m. to midnight.

Sports included

An indoor fitness studio with various CrossFit equipment is available to guests free of charge from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. The minimum age for the fitness studio is 16 years.
