Travel information

Combination package consisting of a Nile cruise on the MS Nile Excellence and a beach holiday, including all transfers in between. Accommodation at the hotel is always in the most affordable available room category. If the Nile cruise is booked first, the outbound flight must be to Luxor. If the hotel is booked first and the Nile cruise afterwards, the return flight must be from Luxor.

Notice

The travel package you have selected has a duration of 14 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always for seven days according to the program. The pre- and post-stay at the hotel depends on your arrival day and the day of embarkation. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

When booking the MS Nile Excellence, the following excursions are automatically included: Valley of the Kings, Kom Ombo Temple, and a visit to the High Dam in Aswan.

Arrival and embarkation. Afternoon visit to the Luxor Museum (3). Dinner and overnight on board in Luxor.
Day 2:
A hot air balloon ride is possible at 5 am (optional, can be booked on-site).
Morning, after breakfast, excursion to Thebes-West to the Hatshepsut Temple (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon journey to Edfu. Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 3:
Morning journey to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board and visit to the Double Temple (1,2,3).
Journey to Aswan, dinner and overnight on board.
Day 4:
Morning after breakfast, visit to the Aswan High Dam (1,2,3).
Then visit to the Philae Temple by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon felucca ride on the Nile (1,2,3).
Then visit to a Nubian village (3).
Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 5:
Early morning at 3:30 am, opportunity for an excursion to Abu Simbel by bus (2,3), breakfast box is included.
Then back to Kom Ombo.

Day 6:
Breakfast on board. Then the ship continues to Esna. Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 7:
Breakfast. Afterwards you have the opportunity to visit the Edfu Temple (1,2,3).
Then the ship continues to Luxor.
Once there, you have the opportunity to visit the East Bank with the Luxor Temple (1,2,3) and the Karnak Temple (1,2,3). There is an opportunity for a Sound and Light Show at the Karnak Temple (optional, can be added on-site).

Facilities

The MS Nile Excellence features a total of 30 modernly furnished outside cabins spread over several decks. The reception area is bright and elegantly designed and has a reception desk. Indulge in culinary delights at the main restaurant and enjoy cool drinks served by the three bars on board. Furthermore, a small bazaar and a cozy reading corner are at your disposal. From winter 2024/25, the ship will feature a small gym, which is freely accessible to all guests on board. To make your holiday perfect, you can relax on the loungers on the sun deck, cool off in the pool, and enjoy the dreamlike view of the landscape along the Nile.

Accommodation

Suite

The comfortably furnished suites (S2) are approx. 24 m² and feature a shower/WC, hairdryer, two single beds or one double bed, air conditioning (individually adjustable), minibar, safe, TV, telephone (for a fee), seating area, and a French balcony.
Also bookable for single use (1SA).

Royal Suite

The Royal Suites (RS) have the same facilities as the suites but are larger (approx. 37 m²). The Royal Suites are located on the middle and upper deck.
In the Royal Suites, there is also a small table and two chairs on the balcony.

Single Suites

The single suites (S1) are approx. 13 m² and otherwise equipped the same as the suites, but with only one single bed and no seating area.

Economy Suite

The economy suites (S2Z) have the same facilities as the suites but are slightly smaller (approx. 21 m²) and may be without a French balcony and without a seating area, but with a non-opening window.

Breakfast, lunch, and dinner as a buffet or set menu.
Breakfast includes soft drinks and hot beverages. For lunch and dinner, two soft drinks and one small bottle of water per person are included.

SUNRISE Anjum Resort Grand Select

Location

Clear sea with beach and hotel buildings on the horizon under blue sky.
The newly built SUNRISE Anjum Resort Grand Select, which opened in April 2024, impresses with its modern bohemian style. The resort is located directly on the hotel's own dreamy lagoon sandy beach, providing the perfect conditions for snorkelers and divers. The jetty makes it easier to enter deeper water. The Marsa Alam airport is located about 90 kilometers from the hotel.

Facilities

The Schauinsland-Reisen-original hotel was built in an elegant bohemian style and features 203 rooms and suites, which are distributed across various buildings. The complex features a reception area with seating and an associated outdoor terrace. In the outdoor area of the complex, there are five different pools, including a splash pool, an infinity whirlpool, an adult-only pool (Oasis pool), as well as an island and kids pool (all pools are heatable in winter). The restaurants include, among others, the Boscage Restaurant (international cuisine, open buffet), the à-la-carte restaurant “Manzoku” (Asian cuisine), as well as “Basilico”, which is run as an international à-la-carte restaurant until evening and as an Italian à-la-carte restaurant in the evening. All à-la-carte restaurants are included and can be visited daily with a reservation. Snacks are available to guests at the “Indigo Terrace” bar. A total of seven different bars, one of which is adult-only, offer a selection of drinks. Additionally, the holiday resort has a spa area, a gym, a beauty salon, a miniclub, and various shops.

The modernly furnished rooms (DSU, approx. 40 m²) are equipped with shower/WC, hairdryer, air conditioning, satellite TV, telephone (for a fee), coffee/tea maker, Wi-Fi, safe, minibar, seating area, and balcony.

Family room with bunk bed

The family rooms (2FA) feature the same facilities as the Superior double rooms and also include a bunk bed.

The rooms (2FS) have the same facilities as the Superior double rooms but are larger (approx. 50 m²) and consist of two bedrooms separated by a door (one with a Queen-size bed and one with two single beds) and a bathroom with a shower and a terrace.

Junior suite

With the same facilities as the Superior double rooms, but more spacious (JS2, approx. 55 m²) and with a living area.
Also bookable for single use (1YZ).

With the same facilities as the Superior double rooms, but more spacious (2YZ, approx. 60 m²), with a small seating area and terrace with access to a small private pool. Bookable for single use (1YZ).

Executive suite

The Executive Suites have similar features to the Superior double rooms but are larger (ES2, approx. 70 m²). The rooms feature a bedroom with a Queen-size bed, dressing room, bathroom with separate shower, seating area, and terrace.
Also bookable as a swim-up room with direct access to the sharing pool (EXG).
Rooms with direct pool/sea access present an increased safety risk for young children.

Anjum Jacuzzi Suite Sea View

The Anjum Jacuzzi Suite (S2J) is approx. 80 m² and consists of a bedroom with a Queen-size bed and a living area. The rooms feature a balcony with a Jacuzzi and sea view, in addition to otherwise similar features.

The main restaurant “Boscage” offers breakfast including coffee and tea as well as various freshly squeezed juices (7 am – 10:30 am), lunch (1 pm – 3 pm), and dinner (7 pm – 10 pm) in buffet form. Upon request, the following à-la-carte restaurants are also fully included for you (subject to availability with prior reservation): “Basilico” (12:30 pm – 5 pm international cuisine, 7 pm – 10 pm Italian cuisine) and “Manzoku”, which is open from 6:30 pm to 10 pm and offers Asian cuisine. At the “Indigo Bar”, coffee, tea, and cake are offered daily from 3 pm to 5 pm. A midnight snack is available to guests from 11 pm to 1 am at the Boscage Restaurant.
