Travel Information

Combined package of a Nile cruise on the MS Nile Excellence and a beach holiday, including all intermediate transfers. Accommodation at the hotel will always be in the cheapest available room category. If the Nile cruise is booked first, the outbound flight must be to Luxor. If the hotel is booked first and then the Nile cruise, the return flight must be from Luxor.

The travel package you have selected lasts for 14 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on board the ship always takes place for seven days according to the program. The preceding and subsequent stay at the hotel depends on your arrival day and the embarkation day. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

Route

When booking the MS Nile Excellence, the following excursions are automatically included: Valley of the Kings, Kom Ombo Temple, and a visit to the High Dam in Aswan.

Day 1:
Arrival and embarkation. In the afternoon, visit the Luxor Museum (3). Dinner and overnight on board in Luxor.
Day 2:
A hot air balloon ride is possible at 5 am (optional, bookable locally).
In the morning, after breakfast, excursion to West Thebes to the Temple of Hatshepsut (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
In the afternoon, sail to Edfu. Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 3:
Continue sailing to Kom Ombo in the morning.
Lunch on board and visit the double temple (1,2,3).
Continue sailing to Aswan, dinner and overnight on board.
Day 4:
In the morning, after breakfast, visit the Aswan High Dam (1,2,3).
Then visit the Temple of Philae by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
In the afternoon, felucca ride on the Nile (1,2,3).
Then visit a Nubian village (3).
Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 5:
Early in the morning at 3:30 am, opportunity for an excursion to Abu Simbel by bus (2,3), breakfast package included.
Then it's back to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board. Overnight and dinner on board.
Day 6:
Breakfast on board. Afterwards, the ship sails on to Esna. Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 7:
Breakfast. Afterwards, you have the option to visit the Temple of Edfu (1,2,3).
Then the ship sails on to Luxor.
Once there, you have the option to visit the East Bank with the Luxor Temple (1,2,3) and Karnak Temple (1,2,3). There is an opportunity for a sound and light show at Karnak Temple (optional, can be booked on site).

Departure.

Facilities

The MS Nile Excellence has a total of 30 modernly furnished exterior cabins spread across several decks. The reception area is bright and elegantly designed and features a reception desk. Enjoy culinary delights in the main restaurant and the three bars on board serve cool drinks. There is also a small bazaar and a cozy reading corner. Starting from Winter 2024/25, the ship will have a small fitness studio, freely accessible to all guests on board. To make your vacation perfect, you can relax on the loungers on the sun deck or cool off in the pool and enjoy the fantastic view of the landscape along the Nile.

Suite

The cheerfully furnished suites (S2) are approx. 24 sqm and have a shower/WC, hairdryer, two single beds or one double bed, air conditioning (individually adjustable), minibar, safe, TV, telephone (for a fee), seating area, and French balcony.
Also available for single occupancy (1SA).

Royal Suite

The Royal Suites (RS) have the same amenities as the suites but are larger (approx. 37 sqm). The Royal Suites are located on the middle and upper decks.
In the Royal Suites, the balcony also features a small table and two chairs.

Single Suite

The single suites (S1) are approx. 13 sqm and otherwise have the same amenities as the suites, but with only a single bed and no seating area.

Economy Suite

The economy suites (S2Z) have the same amenities as the suites but are slightly smaller (approx. 21 sqm) and may have a non-opening window instead of a French balcony and without a seating area.

SUNRISE Anjum Resort Grand Select

Location

Clear sea water in front of a sandy shore with a beach hotel on the horizon under a blue sky.
The newly built SUNRISE Anjum Resort Grand Select, which opened for the first time in April 2024, impresses with its modern Bohemian style. The resort is located directly on the dreamlike, hotel-owned lagoon sandy beach, offering the perfect conditions for snorkelers and divers. The jetty facilitates entry into deeper water. Marsa Alam Airport is about 90 kilometers from the hotel.

Facilities

The Schauinsland-Reisen original hotel is built in an elegant Bohemian style and features 203 rooms and suites spread across several buildings. The complex has a reception area with seating and an adjoining outdoor terrace. In the outdoor area of the complex, there are five different pools, including a splash pool, an infinity whirlpool, an adult-only pool (Oasis Pool), and an Island and Kidspool (all pools are heated in winter). Restaurants include the Boscage Restaurant (international cuisine, open buffet), the à la carte restaurant "Manzoku" (Asian cuisine), and "Basilico," which serves as an international à la carte restaurant during the day and an Italian à la carte restaurant in the evening. All à la carte restaurants are included and can be visited daily with a reservation. Snacks are available at the "Indigo Terrace" bar. A total of seven different bars, one of which is adults only, offer a selection of drinks. Additionally, the holiday resort has a spa area, a fitness studio, a beauty salon, a kids' club, and various shops.

The rooms (2FS) have the same amenities as the Double Rooms Superior, but are larger (approx. 50 sqm) and consist of two bedrooms separated by a door (one with a queen-size bed and one with two single beds) and a bathroom with a shower and a terrace.

Junior Suite

With the same amenities as the Double Rooms Superior, but more spacious (JS2, approx. 55 sqm) and with a living area.

The Executive Suites are larger (ES2, approx. 70 sqm) with similar amenities to the Double Rooms Superior. The rooms have a bedroom with a queen-size bed, dressing room, bathroom with a separate shower, seating area, and terrace.

Deluxe Beach Front Swim-up Suite

The rooms (S2U) are approx. 45 sqm and have a terrace with similar amenities to the Double Rooms. The rooms are located very close to the beach.
Also available at an extra charge with direct access to a private pool (BSD).

Anjum Jacuzzi Suite Sea View

The Anjum Jacuzzi Suite (S2J) is approx. 80 sqm and consists of two bedrooms, one with a queen-size bed and one with two twin beds. The rooms have a balcony with a Jacuzzi and a sea view, along with other similar amenities.

The main restaurant "Boscage" offers breakfast including coffee and tea and various freshly squeezed juices (7-10:30 am and late riser breakfast 10:30-11 am on request included), lunch (1-3 pm) and dinner (7-10 pm) as a buffet. If needed, the following à la carte restaurants are also fully included (subject to availability with prior reservation): "Basilico" (7-10:30 am à la carte breakfast, 12:30-5 pm international cuisine, 7-10 pm Italian cuisine) and "Manzoku," which is open from 6:30 pm to 10 pm and offers Asian cuisine. At the "Indigo Bar," coffee, tea, and cake are served daily from 3 pm to 5 pm. A midnight snack is available for guests from 11 pm to 1 am in the Boscage Restaurant.
