Combined product of a Nile cruise on the MS Nile Excellence and a beach holiday, including all intermediate transfers. Accommodation at the hotel will always be in the cheapest available room category. If the Nile cruise is booked first, the flight must be to Luxor. If the hotel is booked first and then the Nile cruise, the return flight must be from Luxor.

The travel offer you have selected has a duration of 12 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always for seven days according to the program. The pre- and post-stay at the hotel depends on your arrival day and embarkation day. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and harbor are included.

Route

When booking the MS Nile Excellence, the following excursions are automatically included: Valley of the Kings, Kom Ombo Temple, and a visit to the High Dam in Aswan.

Day 1:
Arrival and embarkation. Afternoon visit to the Luxor Museum (3). Dinner and overnight on board in Luxor.
Day 2:
A hot air balloon ride is possible at 5 am (optional, bookable on-site).
In the morning, after breakfast, excursion to Thebes-West to the Temple of Hatshepsut (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon sailing to Edfu. Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 3:
Continue sailing to Kom Ombo in the morning.
Lunch on board and visit to the double temple (1,2,3).
Continue sailing to Aswan, dinner, and overnight on board.
Day 4:
In the morning, after breakfast, visit the Aswan High Dam (1,2,3).
Then visit the Temple of Philae by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon felucca ride on the Nile (1,2,3).
Then visit a Nubian village (3).
Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 5:
Early morning at 3:30 am, opportunity for an excursion to Abu Simbel by bus (2,3), breakfast box included.
Then back to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board. Overnight and dinner on board.
Day 6:
Breakfast on board. The ship then sails on to Esna. Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 7:
Breakfast. You then have the opportunity to visit the Temple of Edfu (1,2,3).
The ship then sails on to Luxor.
Upon arrival, you have the opportunity to visit the East Bank with the Luxor Temple (1,2,3) and the Karnak Temple (1,2,3). There is an opportunity for a sound and light show at Karnak Temple (optional, can be booked on-site).

Departure.

Facilities

The MS Nile Excellence has a total of 30 modernly furnished exterior cabins spread across several decks. The reception area is bright and elegantly designed and features a reception desk. Enjoy culinary delights in the main restaurant and savor cool drinks served by the three bars on board. Additionally, there is a small bazaar and a cozy reading corner. Starting from Winter 2024/25, the ship will have a small fitness studio accessible to all guests on board free of charge. To make your vacation perfect, you can relax on loungers on the sun deck or cool off in the pool while enjoying the breathtaking views of the landscape along the Nile.

Suite

The cheerfully furnished suites (S2) are approx. 24 sqm and feature a shower/WC, hairdryer, two single beds or one double bed, air conditioning (individually adjustable), minibar, safe, TV, telephone (for a fee), seating area, and French balcony.
Also available for single occupancy (1SA).

Royal Suite

The Royal Suites (RS) have the same amenities as the suites but are larger (approx. 37 sqm). The Royal Suites are located on the middle and upper decks.
The Royal Suites also feature a small table and two chairs on the balcony.

Single Suite

The single suites (S1) are approx. 13 sqm and otherwise have the same amenities as the suites, but with only one single bed and no seating area.

Economy Suite

The economy suites (S2Z) are slightly smaller (approx. 21 sqm) with otherwise the same amenities as the suites, and possibly without a French balcony and seating area, but with a non-opening window.

The extensive resort is located directly on the hotel's own sand/pebble beach (swimming shoes recommended) and is only approx. 40 km from Marsa Alam Airport.
The gently sloping beach offers the possibility for a relaxing beach holiday. On the other hand, the long jetty leads directly into deeper water, from where you can explore the beautiful and impressive underwater world of the Red Sea. The beach offers the best conditions for snorkeling and diving.

Facilities

The large, newly opened hotel complex consists of 514 rooms. The comfortably and charmingly furnished complex has a reception, several shops, an amphitheater, various bars, two buffet restaurants ("El Khan" - oriental, "Soprano Restaurant" - international cuisine), an à la carte restaurant ("Shell Fish" - seafood, once per stay, with reservation), two snack restaurants, and various bars and a café, The Bakery.
In the spacious outdoor area, there are 12 swimming pools (three of which are heated in winter) and 3 children's pools (two of which can be heated in winter). The newly built Aqua Park with 32 water slides (11 for adults and 21 for children; partially heated in winter) offers fun for all ages.
Sun loungers, umbrellas, mattresses, and towels are available free of charge by the pool and on the beach.
Guests of the "Pickalbatros Portofino Villaggio" can use all facilities of the sister hotel "Pickalbatros Portofino Vita" (RMF116).

Double Room Superior

The modern Double Superior rooms (DSU, approx. 42-45 sqm) are equipped with a bathroom with shower/WC, hairdryer, safe, minibar (water included), kettle, air conditioning, telephone (for a fee), TV, and balcony or terrace.

Royal Suite Swim Up Pool View

The Royal Suites (SWP) are approx. 105 sqm and feature a bath/WC, hairdryer, air conditioning, minibar (water included), safe, kettle, telephone (for a fee), TV, and a terrace with direct access to the shared swim-up pool. The rooms have two bedrooms.
Rooms with direct pool/sea access pose an increased risk for small children.
Therefore, for safety reasons for children, Schauinsland-Reisen has a minimum age of 6 years for bookings of these room types.
