Combination product consisting of a Nile cruise on the MS Nile Excellence and a beach holiday including all intermediate transfers. Accommodation at the hotel is always provided in the most reasonably priced room category available. If the Nile cruise is booked first, the flight to Luxor must be used. If the hotel is booked first followed by the Nile cruise, the return flight must be from Luxor.

Notice

The travel package you have selected has a duration of 12 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always for seven days according to the program. The pre- and post-stay at the hotel depends on your arrival day and the day of embarkation. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

When booking the MS Nile Excellence, the following excursions are automatically included: Valley of the Kings, Kom Ombo Temple, and a visit to the High Dam in Aswan.

Itinerary:
Day 1:
Arrival and embarkation. Afternoon visit to the Luxor Museum (3). Dinner and overnight on board in Luxor.
Day 2:
A balloon flight is possible at 5 a.m. (optional, can be booked locally).
In the morning, after breakfast, excursion to Thebes-West to the Hatshepsut Temple (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon journey to Edfu. Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 3:
Morning cruise to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board and visit to the Double Temple (1,2,3).
Continue to Aswan, dinner and overnight on board.
Day 4:
In the morning after breakfast, visit the Aswan High Dam (1,2,3).
Then visit the Philae Temple by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon felucca trip on the Nile (1,2,3).
Afterwards, visit a Nubian village (3).
Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 5:
Early morning at 3:30 a.m., opportunity for an excursion to Abu Simbel by bus (2,3), breakfast box is included.
Then return to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board. Overnight and dinner on board.
Day 6:
Breakfast on board. Then the ship continues to Esna. Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 7:
Breakfast. Afterwards, you have the opportunity to visit the Edfu Temple (1,2,3).
Then the ship continues to Luxor.
Once there, you have the opportunity to visit the East Bank with the Luxor Temple (1,2,3) and the Karnak Temple (1,2,3). There is an opportunity for a Sound and Light Show at the Karnak Temple (optional, can be added locally).

Facilities

The MS Nile Excellence has a total of 30 modernly furnished outside cabins, spread over several decks. The reception area is bright and elegantly designed and has a reception desk. Let yourself be pampered in the main restaurant and enjoy cool drinks served by the three bars on board. Furthermore, there is a small bazaar and a cozy reading corner available. From winter 2024/25, the ship will have a small fitness room, which is accessible to all guests on board. To make your holiday perfect, you can relax on the sun loungers on the sun deck or cool off in the pool and enjoy the fantastic view of the landscape along the Nile.

Accommodation

Suite

The friendly furnished suites (S2) are approx. 24 m² and feature a shower/WC, hairdryer, two single beds or one double bed, air conditioning (individually adjustable), minibar, safe, TV, telephone (for a fee), sitting area, and a French balcony.
Also bookable for single use (1SA).

Royal Suite

The Royal Suites (RS) have the same facilities as the suites but are larger (approx. 37 m²). The Royal Suites are located on the middle deck and upper deck.
In the Royal Suites, there is also a small table and two chairs on the balcony.

Single Suites

The single suites (S1) are approx. 13 m² and otherwise have the same equipment as the suites, but with only one single bed without a sitting area.

Economy Suite

The economy suites (S2Z) are slightly smaller (approx. 21 m²) with otherwise the same equipment as the suites and possibly without a French balcony and without a sitting area, but with a non-opening window.

Location

The sprawling resort is located directly on its own sand/pebble beach (bathing shoes recommended) and is only approx. 40 km from Marsa Alam Airport.
Thanks to the gently sloping beach, you have the option for a relaxing beach holiday. On the other hand, the long jetty leads directly into deeper water, from where you can discover the beautiful and impressive underwater world of the Red Sea. The beach offers the best conditions for snorkeling and diving.

Facilities

The large, newly opened hotel complex consists of 514 rooms. The comfortably and charmingly furnished complex has a reception, several shops, an amphitheater, various bars, two buffet restaurants ("El Khan" oriental, "Soprano Restaurant" international cuisine), an à-la-carte restaurant ("Shell Fish" seafood, once per stay, with reservation), two snack restaurants, various bars, and a café, The Bakery.
In the spacious outdoor area, there are 12 swimming pools (three of which are heated in winter) and 3 children's pools (two of which can be heated in winter). The newly built Aqua Park with 32 water slides (11 for adults and 21 for children; partially heated in winter) offers fun for young and old.
Sun loungers, parasols, cushions, and towels are available free of charge by the pool and on the beach.
Customers of the "Pickalbatros Portofino Villaggio" can use all facilities of the sister hotel "Pickalbatros Portofino Vita" (RMF116).

The modern rooms with garden view are spacious (D, approx. 35 m²) and equipped with shower/WC, hairdryer, safe, minibar (only water included), kettle, air conditioning, telephone (for a fee), TV, and balcony or terrace.

Beachfront sea view

Double room Superior

The modern Double Superior (DSU, approx. 42-45m²) are equipped with a bathroom with shower/WC, hairdryer, safe, minibar (water included), kettle, air conditioning, telephone (for a fee), TV, and balcony or terrace.
For an extra charge also bookable with pool view (DSP) or sea view (DMU).
Under RMFA49 also bookable as single use with garden view (DSE), as single use with pool view (DST), and as single use with sea view (DME).

Family room Deluxe garden view

The modern rooms (2FS, approx. 70 m²) consist of a bedroom with a king-size bed and a bedroom with single beds and a sofa bed and are equipped with shower/WC, hairdryer, safe, minibar (water included), kettle, air conditioning, telephone (for a fee), TV, and balcony or terrace.
For an extra charge also bookable with pool view (XF2).

Royal Suite Swim Up pool view

The Royal Suite (SWP) is approx. 105 m² and features bath/WC, hairdryer, air conditioning, minibar (water included), safe, kettle, telephone (for a fee), TV, and terrace with direct access to the communal swim-up pool. The rooms have two bedrooms.
(Additional contingent bookable under RMFA49 as Royal Suite Type B (RZ3)).
Rooms with direct pool/sea access present an increased potential danger for small children.
Therefore, for security reasons, schauinsland-reisen requires a minimum age of 6 years for children for bookings of these room types.

Junior Suite Panoramic sea view

The spacious Junior Suites Panoramic Sea View (J2M, approx. 52 m²) offer an impressive panoramic view of the Red Sea and the extensive resort complex due to their elevated location. The tastefully furnished suites feature a combined living and sleeping area with a king-size bed, seating area, and dressing area. Further equipment includes air conditioning, satellite TV, telephone, minibar, kettle, safe, and a bathroom with a walk-in shower. The private balcony with seating invites you to enjoy the wonderful view and relaxed holiday hours.

Double room Deluxe (RMFA49)

The Double Room Deluxe corresponds in size and equipment to the double rooms (DD2). Also bookable with pool view (DBP) and sea view (DDM).

Bungalow Deluxe sea view (RMFA49)

The Bungalow Deluxe have a size of approx. 35m² and are equipped with air conditioning, bathroom with shower or bathtub/WC, flatscreen TV, balcony or terrace, and have a sea view (2BM).

Superior Bungalow sea view (RMFA49)

The Superior Bungalows are similar in equipment to the Bungalow Deluxe, but are larger at approx. 45m² (2UB).
