Travel information

Combination package consisting of a Nile cruise on the MS Lady Carol and a beach holiday, including all intermediate transfers. Accommodation at the hotel is always provided in the most affordable available room category. If the Nile cruise is booked first, the outbound flight must be to Luxor. If the hotel is booked first followed by the Nile cruise, the return flight must be from Luxor.

Notice

The travel package you have selected has a duration of 10 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always provided for seven days according to the program. The pre- and post-stay at the hotel depends on your arrival day and the embarkation day. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

1st Day:
Arrival and embarkation. Afternoon visit to the Luxor Museum (3) Dinner and overnight on board in Luxor.
2nd Day:
Tour of the East Bank in Luxor. At 5 AM, balloon excursion (optional, can be booked on-site).
Breakfast, tour of the East Bank, Karnak and Luxor Temple (1,2,3).
Lunch on board.
Dinner and overnight on board in Luxor.
3rd Day:
Tour of the West Bank. In the morning after breakfast, excursion to Thebes-West to the Temple of Hatshepsut (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Late evening trip to Esna. Dinner and overnight on board.
4th Day:
Continue from Esna.
Then proceed to Aswan, where you will stay overnight.
Lunch, dinner, and overnight on board.
5th Day:
Morning after breakfast, visit to the Aswan High Dam and the Old Dam in Aswan (1,2,3).
Then visit the Philae Temple by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon felucca trip on the Nile (1,2,3).
Opportunity to visit a Nubian village with the desert on one side and the Nile on the other (3).
Dinner and overnight on board.
6th Day:

The ship features a welcoming reception and a total of 72 beautiful exterior cabins spread across several decks. The main restaurant provides delicious meals for your culinary enjoyment. The offer is complemented by a cozy lounge bar. A small bazaar invites you to stroll and browse. On the spacious sun deck, there is a large pool and a bar. Bath towels are included on board.

The tastefully furnished cabins (K2) are approx. 19 m² in size and feature a bathroom with bath/WC, hairdryer, telephone, satellite TV, video system, air conditioning, minibar, and safe.

Economy cabins

The economy cabins (EK2) are equipped like the standard cabins, but are located on the lower decks and have a small porthole.

Cabin single occupancy

With the same facilities as the cabins, but slightly smaller (approx. 13 m²) and with only one bed (K1B). The window cannot be opened.

The sprawling resort is located directly on the hotel's own sand/pebble beach (bathing shoes recommended) and is only approx. 40 km from Marsa Alam airport.
Thanks to the gently shelving beach, you have the opportunity for a relaxing beach holiday. On the other hand, a long jetty leads directly into deeper water, from where you can discover the beautiful and impressive underwater world of the Red Sea. The beach offers the best conditions for snorkeling and diving.

Facilities

The large newly opened hotel complex consists of 514 rooms. The cozy and charmingly furnished complex features a reception, several shops, an amphitheater, various bars, two buffet restaurants ("El Khan" - Oriental, "Soprano Restaurant" - international cuisine), an à-la-carte restaurant ("Shell Fish" - seafood, once per stay, with reservation), two snack restaurants, various bars, and a café, The Bakery.
In the extensive outdoor area, there are 12 swimming pools (three of which are heated in winter) and 3 children's pools (two of which are heated in winter). The newly built Aqua Park with 32 water slides (11 for adults and 21 for children; partially heated in winter) offers fun for all ages.
Sun loungers, parasols, cushions, and towels are free of charge at the pool and beach.
Guests of the "Pickalbatros Portofino Villaggio" can use all facilities of the sister hotel "Pickalbatros Portofino Vita" (RMF116).

The modern Double Superior rooms (DSU, approx. 42-45 m²) are equipped with a bathroom with shower/WC, hairdryer, safe, minibar (water included), kettle, air conditioning, telephone (for a fee), TV, and balcony or terrace.
Also available with pool view (DSP) or sea view (DMU) for an extra charge.

The modern rooms (2FS, approx. 70 m²) consist of a bedroom with a king-size bed and a bedroom with single beds and a sofa bed, equipped with shower/WC, hairdryer, safe, minibar (water included), kettle, air conditioning, telephone (for a fee), TV, and balcony or terrace.

Royal Suite Swim Up pool view

The Royal Suite (SWP) is approx. 105 m² and features bath/WC, hairdryer, air conditioning, minibar (water included), safe, kettle, telephone (for a fee), TV, and a terrace with direct access to the communal swim-up pool. The rooms have two bedrooms.
(Additional allotment bookable under RMFA49 as Royal Suite Type B (RZ3)).
Rooms with direct pool/sea access pose an increased safety risk for small children.
Therefore, schauinsland-reisen requires a minimum age of 6 years for children when booking these room types for safety reasons.

Double room Deluxe (RMFA49)

The Double room Deluxe corresponds in size and equipment to the double rooms (DD2). Also bookable with pool view (DBP) and sea view (DDM).

Bungalow Deluxe sea view (RMFA49)

The Bungalow Deluxe rooms are approx. 35 m² and equipped with air conditioning, bathroom with shower or bathtub/WC, flat-screen TV, balcony or terrace, and have sea view (2BM).

Superior Bungalow sea view (RMFA49)

The Superior Bungalows are similar in equipment to the Bungalow Deluxe, but are larger at approx. 45 m² (2UB).
