Travel information

Combination package including a Nile cruise on the MS Kleos and a beach holiday, including all transfers in between. Accommodation at the hotel is always in the most affordable available room category. If the Nile cruise is booked first, the arrival flight must be to Luxor. If the hotel is booked first and the Nile cruise follows, the return flight must be from Luxor.

Notice

The travel package you have chosen has a duration of 12 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always for seven days according to the program. The pre- and post-stay at the hotel depends on your arrival day and the embarkation day. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

Day 1:
Arrival and embarkation. Afternoon visit to the Luxor Museum (3). Dinner and overnight on board in Luxor.
Day 2:
At 5 a.m., a balloon ride is possible (optional, bookable on-site).
Morning, after breakfast, excursion to Thebes-West to the Hatshepsut Temple (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon sail to Edfu. Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 3:
Morning, continue to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board and visit the Double Temple (1,2,3).
Continue to Aswan, dinner and overnight on board.
Day 4:
Morning, after breakfast, visit the Aswan High Dam (1,2,3).
Then visit the Philae Temple by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon felucca ride on the Nile (1,2,3).
Then visit to a Nubian village (3).
Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 5:
Early morning at 3:30 a.m., opportunity for an excursion to Abu Simbel by bus (2,3), breakfast box is included.
Then return to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board. Overnight and dinner on board.
Day 6:
Breakfast on board. Then the ship continues to Esna. Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 7:
Breakfast. Afterwards you have the opportunity to visit the Edfu Temple (1,2,3).
Then the ship continues to Luxor.
Once there, you have the opportunity to visit the East Bank with the Luxor Temple (1,2,3) and the Karnak Temple (1,2,3). There is an opportunity for a Sound and Light Show at the Karnak Temple (optional, can be booked on-site).

Facilities

The MS Kleos has a total of 67 cabins, which are distributed over three different decks. On the middle deck you will find an impressive and generously designed reception area with seating and a small bazaar. The main restaurant on the Nile Deck offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner in buffet form. Two bars provide refreshing drinks, one of which is located on the third deck (Lounge Bar) and the other on the sun deck. On the sun deck, there are also sufficient sun loungers for necessary relaxation as well as a generously designed pool with two integrated whirlpools.

Cabin

The tastefully furnished cabins (17 m²) feature a bathroom with bathtub/WC, hairdryer, telephone, satellite TV, air conditioning, minibar, and safe. Furthermore, all cabins have floor-to-ceiling windows and a French balcony.

Single Cabin

With the same amenities as the cabins, but slightly smaller (approx. 11m²) and with only one bed.

The newly opened Resort JAZ Amara in December 2023 is located on a beautiful, gently sloping beach section in the first beach row of the popular bay of Marsa Mares. The bay is particularly known for its population of turtles and has a house reef that invites you to snorkel and dive. Your holiday domicile is located about 8 kilometers from Marsa Alam airport. Various shopping facilities with bars and restaurants can be found at the port of Port Ghalib (about 5 kilometers away).

The stylishly built hotel complex has a total of 272 rooms and suites that are distributed throughout the facility. Among them are various superior and deluxe rooms, suites, as well as swim-up rooms. Your holiday resort surprises with a very appealing, elegant design and was designed very generously. Superior Double Room Sea View Guaranteed Top Floor

The newly bookable schauinsland-reisen-Original rooms (MSA) are equipped like the Superior Double Rooms and feature a sea view. The rooms are guaranteed to be located on the top floor of the hotel, thus offering a breathtaking view of the Red Sea.

Superior Swim-up Double Room Advantage Room

The Superior Swim-up Double Rooms (DWP) feature the same amenities as the Superior Double Rooms, but with direct access to the sharing pool and sun loungers on the terrace. The rooms also feature the following amenities exclusive to schauinsland-reisen:

Deluxe Double

The Deluxe Double Rooms (DD2) are larger (approx. 56m²) with the same amenities as the Superior Double Rooms and, due to their layout (one king-size bed and two sofa beds in the front area), are suitable for families. Optionally bookable with side sea view (DDS), sea view (DM2), or as a swim-up (DWU).

Executive Suite

The Executive Suites (2SU) are spacious (approx. 150m²) and feature a walk-in shower/WC, individually adjustable air conditioning, minibar and telephone (each for a fee), Wi-Fi (included), LED-TV, a minibar, and a coffee/tea maker. The Executive Suites also feature a living/dining area. The suites have a large balcony with a private pool.
