Travel information

Combination package consisting of a Nile cruise on the MS Lady Carol and a beach holiday, including all intermediate transfers. Accommodation at the hotel is always provided in the most reasonably priced available room category. If the Nile cruise is booked first, the outbound flight must be to Luxor. If the hotel is booked first and the Nile cruise second, the return flight must be from Luxor.

Notice

The travel package you have selected has a duration of 12 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always provided for seven days according to the program. The pre- and post-stay at the hotel depends on your arrival day and the embarkation day. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

Arrival and embarkation. Afternoon visit to the Luxor Museum (3). Dinner and overnight stay on board in Luxor.

Sightseeing on the East Bank in Luxor. At 5 AM, hot air balloon excursion (optional, can be booked locally).
Breakfast, tour of the East Bank, Karnak and Luxor Temple (1,2,3).

Cabins

The tastefully furnished cabins (K2) are approx. 19 m² in size and feature a bathroom with bath/WC, hairdryer, telephone, satellite TV, video system, air conditioning, minibar, and safe.
The cabins can also be booked for single occupancy (K1 or KA1).

Economy Cabins

The economy cabins (EK2) are equipped like the standard cabins but are located on the lower decks and feature a small porthole.

Single Occupancy Cabin

With the same amenities as the cabins, but slightly smaller (approx. 13 m²) and with only one bed (K1B). The window cannot be opened.

The JAZ Amara resort, newly opened in December 2023, is located on a beautiful, gently sloping beach section in the first row of the popular bay of Marsa Mares. The bay is particularly well-known for being a home to sea turtles and features a house reef that invites you to snorkel and dive. Your vacation home is about 8 kilometers from Marsa Alam Airport. Various shopping opportunities with bars and restaurants can be found at the Port Ghalib marina (about 5 kilometers away).

Facilities

The stylishly built hotel complex has a total of 272 rooms and suites distributed throughout the grounds. This includes various superior and deluxe rooms, suites, and swim-up rooms. Your vacation resort surprises with a very appealing, noble design and was designed very generously. The impressive reception area offers a direct sea view of the resort and the bay and features a reception desk with various seating areas as well as a lobby bar. The outdoor area features a large pool landscape that runs through the complex. You can look forward to seven different pools, including a children's pool, a baby pool, and a Jacuzzi (partially heatable in winter). Sun loungers and umbrellas are available to guests at the pool area and on the private beach section free of charge; bath and beach towels are already in the rooms. Furthermore, the complex features a spacious fitness center on the first floor with a panoramic view of the bay and the pool landscape. Directly adjacent is the hotel's own Mivida-Spa (for a fee). The comfortably furnished Superior Double Rooms (DSU, approx. 51m²) feature a walk-in shower/WC, individually adjustable air conditioning, minibar, and telephone (each for a fee), Wi-Fi (included), LED TV, and a minibar. The rooms are equipped with either a king-size bed or two single beds. There is also a tea and coffee station in the room. The rooms have a terrace or a balcony. Also bookable with pool view (DSP), partial sea view (DSS), and sea view (DMU). Also bookable for single occupancy (DEU/ESP/1SD/UME).

The newly bookable Schauinsland-Reisen-Original rooms (MSA) are equipped like the Superior Double Rooms and feature a sea view. The rooms are guaranteed to be on the top floor of the hotel, thus offering a breathtaking view of the Red Sea.

Superior Swim-up Double Room Value Room

The Superior Swim-up Double Rooms (DWP) feature the same equipment characteristics as the Superior Double Rooms, but with direct access to the sharing pool and sun loungers on the terrace. The rooms also have the following amenities exclusive to Schauinsland-Reisen:
- Fruit basket upon arrival in the rooms
- VIP Treatment upon arrival: Coffee/tea maker in the room, additional 2 bathrobes, various snacks like apples, berries, chocolate, macarons, nuts, and various Arabic pastries.

Executive Suite

The Executive Suites (2SU) are spacious (approx. 150m²) and feature a walk-in shower/WC, individually adjustable air conditioning, minibar and telephone (each for a fee), Wi-Fi (included), LED TV, a minibar, and a coffee/tea maker. In addition, the Executive Suites have a living/dining area. The suites have a large balcony with a private pool.

The main restaurant “Marasi Restaurant” offers international cuisine for breakfast (07-10 AM), lunch (12:30-02:30 PM), and dinner (07-10 PM) in buffet form. A late riser breakfast is also available from 10:30 AM – 12 PM. Additionally, two à la carte restaurants are available to guests (reservation required), which are included three times per stay/guest (except Teppanyaki), but thereafter for a fee: “Tao Tao” restaurant with a selection of Asian dishes such as sushi, sashimi, Japanese dishes, or Teppanyaki. The “Bay View” à la carte restaurant offers Mediterranean fine-dining cuisine. Tea time is offered from 12:30 PM to 05 PM.
