Travel information

Combination product consisting of a Nile cruise on the MS Lady Carol and a beach holiday, including all intermediate transfers. Accommodation at the hotel is always provided in the most affordable available room category. If the Nile cruise is booked first, the flight must arrive in Luxor. If the hotel is booked first and the Nile cruise second, the return flight must be from Luxor.

Notice

The travel package you have selected has a duration of 12 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always for seven days according to the program. The pre- and post-stay at the hotel depends on your arrival day and the embarkation day. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

1st Day:
Arrival and embarkation. Afternoon visit to the Luxor Museum (3). Dinner and overnight stay on board in Luxor.
2nd Day:
Visit to the East Bank in Luxor. At 5 a.m. hot air balloon excursion (optional, can be booked on-site).
Breakfast, visit to the East Bank, Karnak and Luxor Temples (1,2,3).
Lunch on board.
Dinner and overnight stay on board in Luxor.
3rd Day:
Visit to the West Bank. After breakfast, excursion to Thebes-West to the Temple of Hatshepsut (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Late evening sailing to Esna. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
4th Day:
Continue sailing from Esna.
Then on to Aswan, where the overnight stay will take place.
Lunch, dinner, and overnight stay on board.
5th Day:
After breakfast, visit to the Aswan High Dam and the Old Dam in Aswan (1,2,3).
Then visit to the Philae Temple by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon felucca ride on the Nile (1,2,3).
Then an opportunity to visit a Nubian village with the desert on one side and the Nile on the other (3).
Dinner and overnight stay on board.
6th Day:
You have the opportunity to explore Abu Simbel (2,3). Sailing to Kom Ombo with a visit to the Double Temple (1,2,3). Dinner and overnight stay on board.
7th Day:
Continue sailing to Esna and visit to the Edfu Temple (1,2,3). Overnight stay on board.
8th Day:
Arrival in Luxor. Departure.

The ship features a friendly reception and a total of 72 beautiful outside cabins spread across several decks. The main restaurant provides delicious meals for your physical well-being. The offer is complemented by a cozy lounge bar. A small bazaar invites you to browse and explore. On the spacious sun deck, there is a large pool and a bar. Bath towels are included on board.

The tastefully furnished cabins (K2) are approx. 19 m² and feature a bathroom with bath/WC, hairdryer, telephone, satellite TV, video system, air conditioning, minibar, and safe.

Economy cabins

The economy cabins (EK2) are equipped like the standard cabins, but are located on the lower decks and feature a small porthole.

Cabin single occupancy

Same equipment as the cabins, but slightly smaller (approx. 13 m²) and with only one bed (K1B). The window cannot be opened.

The JAZ Amara resort, newly opened in December 2023, is located on a beautiful, gently sloping beach section in the first row of the popular bay of Marsa Mares. The bay is particularly known for its sea turtles and features a house reef that invites you to snorkel and dive. Your holiday home is about 8 kilometers from Marsa Alam airport. Various shopping facilities with bars and restaurants can be found at the port of Port Ghalib (about 5 kilometers away).

Facilities

The stylishly built hotel complex has a total of 272 rooms and suites spread throughout the entire complex. These include various superior and deluxe rooms, suites, and swim-up rooms. Your holiday resort surprises with a very appealing, elegant design and was designed very spaciously. The impressive reception area offers a direct sea view of the resort and the bay and features a reception with various seating areas and a lobby bar. The outdoor area has a large pool landscape that runs through the complex. Seven different pools await you, including a children's pool, a baby pool, and a Jacuzzi (partially heated in winter). Sun loungers and parasols are available free of charge to guests in the pool area and on the private beach section; bath and beach towels are already in the rooms. Furthermore, the complex has a spacious gym on the first floor with a panoramic view of the bay and the pool landscape. Directly adjacent is the hotel's own Mivida Spa (for a fee). A main restaurant, two à la carte restaurants, and various bars are at your disposal.

The friendly furnished Superior double rooms (DSU, approx. 51m²) feature a walk-in shower/WC, individually adjustable air conditioning, minibar and telephone (each for a fee), Wi-Fi (included), LED TV, and a minibar. The rooms are equipped with either a king-size bed or two single beds. There is also a tea and coffee station in the room. The rooms have a terrace or a balcony. Also bookable with pool view (DSP), side sea view (DSS), and sea view (DMU). Also bookable for single use (DEU/ESP/1SD/UME).

The newly bookable Schauinsland-Reisen-Original rooms (MSA) are equipped like the Superior double rooms and feature a sea view. The rooms are guaranteed to be located on the top floor of the hotel, offering a breathtaking view of the Red Sea.

Superior double room swim-up benefit room

The Superior double rooms Swim-Up (DWP) have the same features as the Superior double rooms, but with direct access to the sharing pool and sun loungers on the terrace. The rooms also have the following exclusive amenities at Schauinsland-Reisen:
- Fruit basket upon arrival in the rooms
- VIP treatment upon arrival: coffee/tea maker in the room, additional 2 bathrobes, various snacks such as apples, berries, chocolate, macarons, nuts, and various Arab pastries.
- The use of the à la carte restaurants is included one extra time (Teppanyaki restaurant is excluded; in all other rooms, the à la carte restaurants are only included once).

Executive Suite

The Executive Suites (2SU) are spacious (approx. 150m²) and feature a walk-in shower/WC, individually adjustable air conditioning, minibar and telephone (each for a fee), Wi-Fi (included), LED TV, a minibar, and a coffee/tea maker. The Executive Suites also feature a living/dining area. The suites have a large balcony with a private pool.
The rooms are located on the first floor.

The Royal Suites (RS) are 153m² and, with the same equipment as the Superior double rooms, feature a king-size bed and a dining set. The rooms also have a lush terrace with access to the private pool (can be heated in winter) and a direct sea view.

The main restaurant “Marasi Restaurant” offers international cuisine for breakfast (07-10 a.m.), lunch (12:30-02:30 p.m.), and dinner (07-10 p.m.) in buffet form. In addition, a late-riser breakfast is available there from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Additionally, two à la carte restaurants are available to guests (reservation required), which are included three times per stay/guest (except Teppanyaki), but are for a fee thereafter: “Tao Tao” restaurant with a selection of Asian dishes such as sushi, sashimi, Japanese dishes, or Teppanyaki. The à la carte restaurant “Bay View” offers Mediterranean fine-dining cuisine.
