Location

The Jaz Amara Resort, newly opened in December 2023, is located on a beautiful, gently sloping beach in the first row of the popular Marsa Mares bay. The bay is particularly known for its turtle population and has a house reef ideal for snorkeling and diving. Your holiday destination is about 8 kilometers from Marsa Alam Airport. Various shopping facilities with bars and restaurants can be found in the port of Port Ghalib (about 5 kilometers away).

Facilities

The stylishly built hotel complex has a total of 272 rooms and suites spread throughout the resort. These include various Superior and Deluxe rooms, suites, and swim-up rooms. Your holiday resort impresses with a very appealing, elegant design and was conceived very generously. The impressive reception area offers a direct sea view of the resort and the bay, and features a reception with various seating areas as well as a lobby bar. The outdoor area boasts a large pool landscape that winds through the resort. There are seven different pools, including a children's pool, a baby pool, and a jacuzzi (partially heated in winter). Sun loungers and umbrellas are available free of charge for guests in the pool area and on the private beach section, and bath and beach towels are already in the rooms. Furthermore, the complex has a spacious gym on the first floor with a panoramic view of the bay and the pool landscape. Directly adjacent is the hotel's Mivida Spa (for a fee). A main restaurant, two à la carte restaurants, and various bars are available.

Accommodation

Superior Double Room

The brightly decorated Superior Double Rooms (DSU, approx. 51m²) feature a walk-in shower/WC, individually adjustable air conditioning, minibar and telephone (each for a fee), Wi-Fi (included), LED TV, and a minibar. The rooms are equipped with a king-size bed or two single beds. A tea and coffee station is also available in the room. The rooms have a terrace or a balcony. Also bookable for single use (DSP), with side sea view (DSS), and sea view (DMU).

Superior Double Room with Sea View - Top Floor

The newly bookable Schauinsland-Reisen Original rooms (MSA) are equipped like the Superior Double Rooms and offer sea views. The rooms are guaranteed to be on the top floor of the hotel, offering a breathtaking view of the Red Sea. Also bookable for single use (MSE).

Premium Swim-up Double Room

The Premium Swim-up Double Rooms (DWP) are bookable as Schauinsland-Reisen Original rooms and have the same features as the Superior Double Rooms, but with direct access to the shared pool. The rooms also offer the following exclusive amenities:
- Fruit basket upon arrival in the rooms
- VIP treatment upon arrival: coffee/tea maker in the room, plus 2 bathrobes and slippers, various snacks such as apples, berries, chocolate, macarons, nuts, and assorted Arabic pastries.
- Use of the à la carte restaurants is included once more (Teppanyaki restaurant is excluded; in all other rooms, à la carte restaurants are included only once).
Also bookable for single use (EWP).

Deluxe Double Room

The Deluxe Double Rooms (DD2), with the same features as the Superior Double Rooms, are larger (approx. 56m²) and, due to their layout (one king-size bed and two sofa beds in the front area), are suitable for families. Optionally also available with side sea view (DDS), sea view (DM2), or as swim-up (DWU).

Executive Suite

The Executive Suites (2SU) are spacious (approx. 150m²) and feature a walk-in shower/WC, individually adjustable air conditioning, minibar and telephone (each for a fee), Wi-Fi (included), LED TV, a minibar, and a coffee/tea maker. Furthermore, the Executive Suites have a living/dining area. The suites have a large balcony with a private pool. The rooms are located on the first floor.

Royal Suite

The Royal Suites (RS) are 153m² in size and, with the same amenities as the Superior Double Rooms, feature a king-size bed and a dining area. Additionally, the rooms have a spacious terrace with access to a private pool (heated in winter) and direct sea views.

Superior Double Room Premium (RMFA45)

With otherwise the same amenities as the Superior Double Rooms, these are slightly more spacious (SPU/SPE).

All Inclusive

The main restaurant "Marasi Restaurant" offers international cuisine for breakfast (7-10 AM), lunch (12:30 PM - 2:30 PM), and dinner (7 PM - 10 PM) in buffet style. A late riser's breakfast is also available from 10:30 AM to 12 PM. Additionally, guests can enjoy two à la carte restaurants (reservations required), which are included once per stay/guest (except Teppanyaki); afterwards, they are available for a fee: "Tao Tao" restaurant offers a selection of Asian dishes including sushi, sashimi, Japanese dishes, or Teppanyaki. The "Bay View" à la carte restaurant offers Mediterranean fine dining cuisine. Tea time is served from 12:30 PM to 5 PM. Various bars offer refreshments and snacks throughout the day, such as "La Vista Pool Snack Bar" (snacks and local alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks), "Splash Pool Bar", "Fantasia Lobby Bar", and "Bay View Beach Bar" (snacks and local alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks).
Smart casual dress code is requested for dinner.
Men must wear long trousers and appropriate footwear; no tank tops or shorts of any length.
While shorts are acceptable for women at dinner, hot pants and very short shorts are not.

Combined package of a Nile cruise on the MS Steigenberger Minerva and a beach holiday including all intermediate transfers. Accommodation in the hotel will always be in the cheapest available room category. If the Nile cruise is booked first, the outward flight must be to Luxor. If the hotel is booked first and then the Nile cruise, the return flight must be from Luxor.

Day 2:
After breakfast in the morning, excursion to Thebes West
to the Temple of Hatshepsut (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Drive to Edfu in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 3:
After breakfast in the morning, visit to the Temple of Habu (1,2,3).
Then continue to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board and drive to Kom Ombo where you have free time.
Continue to Aswan, dinner and overnight on board.
Day 4:
After breakfast in the morning, visit the Aswan High Dam and the Old Dam in Aswan (1,2,3).
Then visit the Temple of Philae by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.

Then opportunity for a camel ride (3) on the way to visit a Nubian village with the desert on one side and the Nile on the other (3).

The Nile cruise ship from the renowned Steigenberger hotel chain has a total of 77 outside cabins spread across various decks. It also features a main restaurant, a 24-hour reception, a lounge bar, a hairdresser (on request), a souvenir shop, and a sun deck with a pool and bar. Beach towels are included on board.
