Travel information

Combination product consisting of a Nile cruise on the MS Steigenberger Minerva and a beach holiday, including all intermediate transfers. Accommodation in the hotel is always provided in the most affordable available room category. If the Nile cruise is booked first, the outbound flight must be to Luxor. If the hotel is booked first and the Nile cruise afterwards, the return flight must be from Luxor.

Notice

The travel package you have selected has a duration of 10 Days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always for seven days according to the program. The pre- and post-stay at the hotel depends on your day of arrival and day of embarkation. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

Embarkation takes place on Thursdays.
Arrival and embarkation. Dinner and overnight stay on board in Luxor.
Day 2:
Morning after breakfast, excursion to Thebes-West
to the Temple of Hatshepsut (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon sailing to Edfu. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 3:
Morning after breakfast, visit to the Medinet Habu Temple (1,2,3).
Then continue to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board and sail to Kom Ombo, where you will have free time.
Continue to Aswan, dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 4:
Morning after breakfast, visit to the Aswan High Dam and the Old Dam in Aswan (1,2,3).
Afterwards, visit to the Philae Temple by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon felucca trip on the Nile (1,2,3)
Afterwards, opportunity for a camel ride (3) on the way to visit a Nubian village, with the desert on one side and the Nile on the other (3).

Early morning at 3:30 AM, opportunity for an excursion to Abu Simbel by bus (2,3). Breakfast box is included.

The Nile cruise ship from the renowned Steigenberger hotel chain features a total of 77 outside cabins distributed across various decks. Furthermore, there is a main restaurant, a 24-hour reception, a lounge bar, a hairdresser (on request), a souvenir shop, as well as a sun deck with a pool and bar. Bath towels are included on board.

The JAZ Amara Resort, newly opened in December 2023, is located on a beautiful, gently sloping beach section in the first row of the popular Marsa Mares Bay. The bay is particularly known for its population of sea turtles and features a house reef that invites you to snorkel and dive. Your holiday home is located approximately 8 kilometers from Marsa Alam Airport. Various shopping opportunities with bars and restaurants can be found at the port of Port Ghalib (about 5 kilometers away).

Facilities

The stylishly built hotel complex has a total of 272 rooms and suites distributed throughout the grounds. These include various superior and deluxe rooms, suites, and swim-up rooms. Your holiday resort surprises with a very appealing, elegant design and has been designed very generously. The impressive reception area offers a direct sea view of the resort and the bay and features a reception with various seating areas as well as a lobby bar. The outdoor area has a large pool landscape that runs through the resort. Seven different pools await you, including a children's pool, a baby pool, as well as a jacuzzi (partially heatable in winter). Sun loungers and parasols are available to guests free of charge in the pool area as well as on the private beach section; bath and beach towels are already in the rooms. Superior Double Room Sea View Guaranteed Top Floor

The newly bookable schauinsland-reisen original rooms (MSA) are equipped like the Superior Double Rooms and have a sea view. The rooms are guaranteed to be located on the top floor of the hotel, thus offering a breathtaking view of the Red Sea.

Superior Swim-up Double Room Special Offer Room

The Superior Swim-up Double Rooms (DWP) have the same features as the Superior Double Rooms, but with direct access to the sharing pool and sun loungers on the terrace. The rooms also have the following amenities exclusive to schauinsland-reisen:
- Fruit basket upon arrival in the rooms

Furthermore, the Executive Suites feature a living/dining area. The suites have a large balcony with a private pool.

The Royal Suites (RS) are 153 m² in size and, with the same facilities as the Superior Double Rooms, feature a king-size bed as well as a dining group. In addition, the rooms have a lush terrace with access to the private pool (heatable in winter) and direct sea view.

The main restaurant "Marasi Restaurant" offers international cuisine for breakfast (7 AM - 10 AM), lunch (12:30 PM - 2:30 PM), and dinner (7 PM - 10 PM) in buffet form. Additionally, a late riser breakfast is available there from 10:30 AM to 12 PM. In addition, guests have access to two à-la-carte restaurants (reservation required), which are included three times per stay/guest (except Teppanyaki), but are otherwise for a fee: "Tao Tao" restaurant with a selection of Asian dishes such as sushi, sashimi, Japanese dishes, or Teppanyaki. The à-la-carte restaurant "Bay View" offers Mediterranean fine-dining cuisine. Tea time is offered from 12:30 PM to 5 PM.
