Travel information

Combination package consisting of a Nile cruise on the MS Nile Excellence and a beach holiday including all inter-transfers. Accommodation in the hotel is always provided in the most affordable available room category. If the Nile cruise is booked first, the outbound flight must be to Luxor. If the hotel is booked first and the Nile cruise afterwards, the return flight must be from Luxor.

Notice

The travel offer you have chosen has a duration of 10 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always for seven days as per the program. The pre- and post-stay at the hotel depends on your day of arrival and the day of embarkation. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

When booking the MS Nile Excellence, the following excursions are automatically included: Valley of the Kings, Kom Ombo Temple, and a visit to the High Dam in Aswan.

Day 1:
Arrival and embarkation. In the afternoon, visit to the Luxor Museum (3). Dinner and overnight stay on board in Luxor.
Day 2:
At 5 a.m., a hot air balloon ride is possible (optional, bookable on site).
In the morning, after breakfast, excursion to Thebes-West to the Hatshepsut Temple (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
In the afternoon, cruise to Edfu. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 3:
Morning cruise to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board and visit to the Double Temple (1,2,3).
Cruise to Aswan, dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 4:
Morning after breakfast, visit to the Aswan High Dam (1,2,3).
Afterwards, visit to the Philae Temple by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon felucca ride on the Nile (1,2,3).
Afterwards, visit to a Nubian village (3).
Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 5:
Early in the morning at 3:30 a.m., opportunity for an excursion to Abu Simbel by bus (2,3), breakfast box is included.
Then returning to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board. Overnight stay and dinner on board.
Day 6:
Breakfast on board. Afterward, the ship sails to Esna. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 7:
Breakfast. Afterwards, you have the opportunity to visit the Edfu Temple (1,2,3).
Afterwards, the ship sails to Luxor.
Upon arrival, you have the opportunity to visit the East Bank with the Luxor Temple (1,2,3) and the Karnak Temple (1,2,3). There is an opportunity for a sound and light show at the Karnak Temple (optional, can be booked on site).

Accommodation

The MS Nile Excellence has a total of 30 modernly furnished outside cabins spread over several decks. The reception area is bright and elegantly designed and has a reception desk. Let yourself be pampered with culinary delights in the main restaurant and enjoy cool drinks served by the three bars on board. Furthermore, a small bazaar and a cozy reading corner are at your disposal. From winter 2024/25, the ship will feature a small fitness room, which is freely accessible to all guests on board. To make your holiday perfect, you can relax on the sun loungers on the sun deck or cool off in the pool and enjoy the fantastic view of the landscape along the Nile.

Suite

The friendly furnished suites (S2) are approx. 24 m² and feature a shower/WC, hairdryer, two single beds or one double bed, air conditioning (individually adjustable), minibar, safe, TV, telephone (for a fee), seating area, and French balcony.
Also bookable for single use (1SA).

Royal Suite

The Royal Suites (RS) have the same features as the suites but are larger (approx. 37 m²). The Royal Suites are located on the middle deck and upper deck.
In the Royal Suites, there is also a small table and two chairs on the balcony.

Single Suites

The single suites (S1) are approx. 13 m² and otherwise have the same features as the suites, but with only one single bed and no seating area.

Economy Suite

The economy suites (S2Z), while otherwise having the same features as the suites, are slightly smaller (approx. 21 m²) and may have no French balcony and no seating area, but rather a non-opening window.

The newly opened JAZ Amara Resort in December 2023 is located on a beautiful, gently sloping beach section in the first row of the popular bay of Marsa Mares. The bay is particularly known for the settlement of turtles and features a house reef that invites you to snorkel and dive. Your holiday domicile is located about 8 kilometers from Marsa Alam airport. Various shopping opportunities with bars and restaurants can be found at the port of Port Ghalib (about 5 kilometers away).

Accommodation

The stylishly built hotel complex has a total of 272 rooms and suites spread throughout the complex. Among them are various superior and deluxe rooms, suites, as well as swim-up rooms. Your holiday resort surprises with a very appealing, noble design and has been designed very generously. The impressive reception area offers a direct sea view of the resort and the bay and has a reception desk with various seating areas and a lobby bar. The outdoor area features a large pool landscape that runs through the complex. Seven different pools await you, including a children's pool, a baby pool, and a jacuzzi (partially heatable in winter). The newly bookable Schauinsland-Reisen Original rooms (MSA) are equipped like the superior double rooms and have a sea view. The rooms are guaranteed to be located on the top floor of the hotel and thus offer a breathtaking view of the Red Sea.

The superior swim-up double rooms (DWP) feature the same amenities as the superior double rooms, but with direct access to the sharing pool and sun loungers on the terrace. The rooms also feature the following exclusive amenities at Schauinsland-Reisen:
- Fruit basket on arrival in the rooms
- VIP treatment on arrival: Coffee/tea maker in the room, additional 2 bathrobes, various snacks such as apples, berries, chocolate, macarons, nuts, and various Arabic pastries.

The main restaurant "Marasi Restaurant" offers international cuisine for breakfast (07:00-10:00), lunch (12:30-14:30), and dinner (19:00-22:00) in buffet form. In addition, a late riser breakfast is available there from 10:30-12:00. Guests also have two à-la-carte restaurants available (reservation required), which are included three times per stay/guest (except Teppanyaki), but thereafter for a fee: "Tao Tao" restaurant with a selection of Asian dishes such as sushi, sashimi, Japanese dishes, or Teppanyaki. The à-la-carte restaurant "Bay View" offers Mediterranean fine-dining cuisine.
