Travel information

Combo product consisting of a Nile cruise on the MS Lady Carol and a beach holiday including all intermediate transfers. Accommodation at the hotel is always provided in the most affordable available room category. If the Nile cruise is booked first, the arrival flight must be to Luxor. If the hotel is booked first and the Nile cruise follows, the return flight must be from Luxor.

Notice

The travel package you have selected has a duration of 10 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always provided for seven days according to the program. The pre- and post-stay at the hotel depends on your day of arrival and the day of embarkation. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

1st Day:
Arrival and embarkation. Afternoon visit to the Luxor Museum (3) Dinner and overnight on board in Luxor.
2nd Day:
Tour of the East Bank in Luxor. At 5 AM, hot air balloon excursion (optional, can be booked on site).
Breakfast, tour of the East Bank, Karnak and Luxor Temple (1,2,3).
Lunch on board.
Dinner and overnight on board in Luxor.
3rd Day:
Tour of the West Bank. In the morning after breakfast, excursion to Thebes-West to the Temple of Hatshepsut (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Late evening departure to Esna. Dinner and overnight on board.
4th Day:
Departure from Esna.
Continue to Aswan, where you will spend the night.
Lunch, dinner, and overnight on board.
5th Day:
In the morning after breakfast, visit the Aswan High Dam and the Old Dam in Aswan (1,2,3).
Then visit the Philae Temple by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon felucca ride on the Nile (1,2,3).
Then, opportunity to visit a Nubian village with the desert on one side and the Nile on the other (3).
Dinner and overnight on board.
6th Day:
You have the opportunity to explore Abu Simbel (2,3). Departure to Kom Ombo with a visit to the Double Temple (1,2,3). Dinner and overnight on board.
7th Day:
Continue to Esna and visit the Temple of Edfu (1,2,3). Overnight on board.
8th Day:
Arrival in Luxor. Departure.

The ship features a friendly reception and a total of 72 beautiful outside cabins distributed across several decks. The main restaurant provides delicious meals, complemented by a cozy lounge bar. The economy cabins (EK2) are equipped like the standard cabins, but are located on the lower decks and feature a small round window.

Steigenberger Resort Alaya

Location

The 5-star luxury hotel complex is located in the heart of the beautiful Madinat Coraya. Access to the sea is possible via a jetty. From here, you can discover the picturesque underwater world of Madinat Coraya. The resort also has its own sandy beach area and is only approx. 5 km from Marsa Alam Airport.

Facilities

The beautiful adults-only complex (bookable from 16 years) features 290 elegantly furnished rooms and suites. The spacious reception area offers guests a front desk and a lobby bar with seating. The hotel features a souvenir shop and a hairdresser. A main restaurant and four à la carte restaurants ("Basilico" - Italian, "Rocca" - Asian, "Zaytoun" - Oriental, "Mashawi" - Seafood) treat guests to delicious dishes. You can get a wide selection of drinks at the various bars.
In the outdoor area of the complex, there are five generously designed pools (some can be heated in winter) and inviting sun terraces.
Sun loungers, parasols, and towels are free of charge at the pool and beach.

Double Room Superior

The comfortably furnished Double Superior rooms (DSU) are 40 m² in size and feature shower/WC, hairdryer, air conditioning, minibar (for a fee), coffee/tea maker, LED TV, safe, telephone (for a fee), balcony, and garden view.

The Double Superior Swim Up rooms (DWP) have the same features as the Double Superior rooms, are slightly more spacious (approx. 50 m²), and have their own direct pool access from the terrace.

The Double Deluxe Swim Up rooms (DWU) are bookable as "schauinsland-original" rooms. The rooms have the same features as the Double Superior rooms, are more spacious (approx. 70 m²), and have their own access to the sharing pool.
