Travel information

Combination package consisting of a Nile cruise on the MS Lady Carol and a beach holiday, including all transfers between locations. Accommodation at the hotel is always provided in the most affordable available room category. If the Nile cruise is booked first, the arrival flight must be to Luxor. If the hotel is booked first and the Nile cruise second, the return flight must be from Luxor.

Notice

The travel package you have selected has a duration of 10 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always for seven days according to the program. The pre- and post-stay at the hotel depends on your arrival day and the embarkation day. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

Day 1:
Arrival and embarkation. Afternoon visit to the Luxor Museum (3). Dinner and overnight stay on board in Luxor.
Day 2:
Sightseeing of the East Bank in Luxor. At 5 am, optional hot air balloon excursion (can be booked on site).
Breakfast, sightseeing of the East Bank, Karnak and Luxor Temple (1,2,3).
Lunch on board.
Dinner and overnight stay on board in Luxor.
Day 3:
Sightseeing of the West Bank. Morning after breakfast, excursion to Thebes-West to the Hatshepsut Temple (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Late evening sailing to Esna. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 4:
Continuing sailing from Esna.
Then continue to Aswan, where the overnight stay also takes place.
Lunch and dinner, as well as overnight stay on board.
Day 5:
Morning after breakfast, visit to the Aswan High Dam and the Old Dam in Aswan (1,2,3).
Then visit to the Philae Temple by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon felucca ride on the Nile (1,2,3).
Afterwards, opportunity to visit a Nubian village with the desert on one side and the Nile on the other (3).

You have the opportunity to explore Abu Simbel (2,3). Sailing to Kom Ombo with a visit to the double temple (1,2,3). Dinner and overnight stay on board.

Facilities

The ship features a welcoming reception and a total of 72 beautiful outside cabins distributed across several decks. The main restaurant provides delicious meals for your physical well-being. The offering is complemented by a cozy lounge bar. A small bazaar invites you to stroll and browse. On the spacious sun deck, there is a large pool and a bar. Bath towels are included on board.

The tastefully furnished cabins (K2) are approx. 19 m² and feature a bathroom with bathtub/WC, hairdryer, telephone, satellite TV, video system, air conditioning, minibar, and safe.
The cabins can also be booked for single occupancy (K1 or KA1).

Economy Cabins

The economy cabins (EK2) are equipped like the standard cabins but are located on the lower decks and feature a small porthole.

Single Cabin

With the same equipment as the cabins, but slightly smaller (approx. 13 m²) and with only one bed (K1B). The window cannot be opened.

Steigenberger Resort Alaya

Location

The 5-star luxury hotel complex is located in the heart of the beautiful Madinat Coraya. Access to the sea is possible via a jetty. From here, the picturesque underwater world of Madinat Coraya can be discovered. The resort also has its own sandy beach section and is only approx. 5 km from Marsa Alam Airport.

Facilities

The beautiful adults-only complex (bookable from 16 years) features 290 elegantly furnished rooms and suites. The spacious reception area offers guests a reception and a lobby bar with seating. The hotel has a souvenir shop and a hairdresser. A main restaurant and four à la carte restaurants ("Basilico" Italian, "Rocca" Asian, "Zaytoun" Oriental, "Mashawi" Seafood) pamper guests with delicious food. In the various bars, you can get a wide selection of drinks.
In the outdoor area of the complex, there are five generously laid-out pools (partially heated in winter) and inviting sun terraces.
Sun loungers, umbrellas, and towels are free of charge at the pool and on the beach.

Royal Suite Sea View Private Pool

The Royal Suites (RSM) are luxuriously furnished and have the same amenities as the double rooms. The Royal Suite is approx. 160 m² and is additionally equipped with 2 bathrooms with bathtub, Jacuzzi, living area, sleeping area, and features a terrace with a private pool.

Double Room Superior

The comfortably furnished Double Superior (DSU) rooms are 40 m² and feature a shower/WC, hairdryer, air conditioning, minibar (for a fee), coffee/tea maker, LED TV, safe, telephone (for a fee), balcony, and garden view.
Available for an extra charge with pool view (DSP), side sea view (D2S), or sea view (DMU), as well as for single occupancy (DEU/ESP/1SD/UME).

The Double Superior Swim Up (DWP) rooms, with the same facilities as the Double Superior rooms, are slightly more spacious (approx. 50 m²) and have their own direct pool access from the terrace.

Double Room Deluxe Swim-Up

The Double Deluxe Swim Up (DWU) rooms are bookable as schauinsland-original rooms. With the same facilities as the Double Superior rooms, these rooms are more spacious (approx. 70 m²) and have their own access to the sharing pool.
