Travel information

Combination product consisting of a Nile cruise on the MS Lady Carol and a beach holiday including all transfers in between. Accommodation at the hotel is always provided in the most affordable available room category. If the Nile cruise is booked first, the flight to Luxor must be taken. If the hotel is booked first and the Nile cruise afterwards, the return flight must be from Luxor.

Notice

The holiday package you have chosen lasts 10 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always for seven days according to the program. The pre- and post-stay at the hotel depends on your arrival day and the embarkation day. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

Day 1:
Arrival and embarkation. Afternoon visit to the Luxor Museum (3). Dinner and overnight stay on board in Luxor.
Day 2:
Tour of the East Bank in Luxor. At 5:00 a.m., hot air balloon excursion (optional, can be booked on-site).
Breakfast, visit to the East Bank, Karnak and Luxor Temples (1,2,3).
Lunch on board.
Dinner and overnight stay on board in Luxor.
Day 3:
Tour of the West Bank. Morning, after breakfast, excursion to Thebes-West to the Hatshepsut Temple (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Late evening departure to Esna. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 4:
Continuation from Esna.
Afterwards, proceed to Aswan, where the overnight stay takes place.

Day 5:
Morning, after breakfast, visit to the Aswan High Dam and the Old Dam in Aswan (1,2,3).
Afterwards, visit the Philae Temple by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.

Afterwards, opportunity to visit a Nubian village with the desert on one side and the Nile on the other (3).
Dinner and overnight stay on board.

Facilities

The ship features a welcoming reception and a total of 72 beautiful exterior cabins spread over several decks. The main restaurant provides delicious meals. The facilities are complemented by a cozy lounge bar. A small bazaar invites you to stroll and browse. On the spacious sun deck, there is a large pool and a bar. Bath towels are included on board.

Cabins

The tastefully furnished cabins (K2) are approximately 19 m² in size and feature a bathroom with bath/WC, hairdryer, telephone, satellite TV, video system, air conditioning, minibar, and safe.
The cabins can also be booked for single use (K1 or KA1).

Economy cabins

The economy cabins (EK2) are equipped like the standard cabins, but are located on the lower decks and feature a small round window.

Cabin single occupancy

Equipped the same as the cabins, but slightly smaller (approx. 13 m²) and with only one bed (K1B). The window cannot be opened.

Steigenberger Resort Alaya

Location

The 5-star luxury hotel complex is located in the heart of the beautiful Madinat Coraya. Access to the sea is possible via a jetty. From here, you can discover the picturesque underwater world of Madinat Coraya. The resort also has its own sandy beach area and is only approx. 5 km away from Marsa Alam airport.

Facilities

The beautiful adults-only complex (bookable from 16 years) has 290 elegantly furnished rooms and suites. The spacious entrance area offers guests a reception and a lobby bar with seating. The hotel has a souvenir shop and a hairdresser. A main restaurant and four à la carte restaurants ("Basilico" - Italian, "Rocca" - Asian, "Zaytoun" - Oriental, "Mashawi" - Seafood) cater to guests' culinary needs. You can get a wide selection of drinks at the various bars.
In the outdoor area of the complex, there are five spacious pools (some of which can be heated in winter) and inviting sun terraces.
Sun loungers, umbrellas, and towels are free of charge at the pool and on the beach.

The Royal Suites (RSM) are luxuriously equipped and have the same amenities as the double rooms. The Royal Suite is approx. 160 m² in size and is additionally equipped with 2 bathrooms with a bathtub, jacuzzi, living area, sleeping area, and a terrace with a private pool.

Double room Superior

The comfortably furnished Double Superior (DSU) rooms are 40 m² in size and feature a shower/WC, hairdryer, air conditioning, minibar (for a fee), coffee/tea maker, LED TV, safe, telephone (for a fee), balcony, and garden view.
Available for an extra charge with pool view (DSP), side sea view (D2S), or sea view (DMU) as well as for single use (DEU/ESP/1SD/UME).

The Double Superior Swim Up (DWP) rooms have the same amenities as the Double Superior rooms but are slightly more spacious (approx. 50 m²) and offer private direct pool access from the terrace.
