Travel information

Combined product consisting of a Nile cruise on the MS Nile Excellence and a beach holiday, including all connecting transfers. Accommodation in the hotel is always provided in the most affordable available room category. If the Nile cruise is booked first, the outbound flight must be to Luxor. If the hotel is booked first and the Nile cruise second, the return flight must be from Luxor.

Notice

The travel package you have chosen has a duration of 10 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always provided for seven days according to the program. The pre- and post-stay at the hotel depends on your arrival day and the day of embarkation. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

When booking the MS Nile Excellence, the following excursions are automatically included: Valley of the Kings, Kom Ombo Temple, and a visit to the High Dam in Aswan.

Day 1:
Arrival and embarkation. Afternoon visit to the Luxor Museum (3). Dinner and overnight on board in Luxor.
Day 2:
A hot air balloon ride is possible at 5 a.m. (optional, bookable on site).
Morning, after breakfast, excursion to Thebes-West to the Hatshepsut Temple (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon cruise to Edfu. Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 3:
Morning cruise to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board and visit to the Double Temple (1,2,3).
Continue to Aswan, dinner and overnight on board.
Day 4:
Morning after breakfast, visit to the Aswan High Dam (1,2,3).
Afterward, visit the Philae Temple by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon felucca ride on the Nile (1,2,3).
Afterward, visit to a Nubian village (3).
Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 5:
Early morning at 3:30 a.m., opportunity for an excursion to Abu Simbel by bus (2,3), breakfast box is included.
Then proceed to Kom Ombo.

Day 6:
Breakfast on board. Afterward, the ship continues to Esna. Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 7:
Breakfast. Afterward, you have the opportunity to visit the Edfu Temple (1,2,3).
Then the ship proceeds to Luxor.
Upon arrival, you have the opportunity to visit the East Bank with the Luxor Temple (1,2,3) and the Karnak Temple (1,2,3). There is an opportunity for a Sound and Light Show at the Karnak Temple (optional, can be booked on site).

Facilities

The MS Nile Excellence features a total of 30 modernly furnished outside cabins spread across several decks. The reception area is bright and elegantly designed and has a front desk. Indulge in culinary delights at the main restaurant and enjoy cool drinks served at the three bars on board. Furthermore, there is a small bazaar and a cozy reading corner available. Starting in Winter 2024/25, the ship will feature a small gym that is freely accessible to all guests on board. To make your holiday perfect, you can relax on the sun loungers on the sun deck or cool off in the pool while enjoying the dreamlike view of the landscape along the Nile.

Suite

The friendly furnished suites (S2) are approx. 24 m² and feature a shower/WC, hairdryer, two single beds or one double bed, air conditioning (individually adjustable), minibar, safe, TV, telephone (for a fee), sitting area, and a French balcony.
Also bookable for single use (1SA).

Royal Suite

The Royal Suites (RS) have the same facilities as the suites, but are larger (approx. 37 m²). The Royal Suites are located on the middle deck and upper deck.
In the Royal Suites, there is also a small table and two chairs on the balcony.

Single Suite

The single suites (S1) are approx. 13 m² and otherwise have the same facilities as the suites, but with only one single bed and no sitting area.

Economy Suite

The economy suites (S2Z), with otherwise the same facilities as the suites, are somewhat smaller (approx. 21 m²) and possibly without a French balcony and without a sitting area, instead featuring a non-opening window.

Location

Built in Moroccan style, this hotel of the renowned JAZ hotel group is located directly on the private long sandy beach of the popular and idyllic Makadi Bay with a beautiful view of the coast. Hurghada Airport is approx. 30 km away. The hotel's own reef invites you to snorkel and dive in the breathtaking underwater world of the Red Sea. In the immediate vicinity is the Souk Makadi with numerous shops, restaurants, and bars that invite you to stroll. The aquapark is approx. 3 km from the hotel.

Facilities

The JAZ Makadina is nestled in a beautiful garden and features 270 rooms distributed across several small buildings in the complex. Furthermore, the hotel is equipped with an inviting reception, several shops, a buffet restaurant, an à-la-carte restaurant (for a fee), and various bars. For culinary variety, in addition to the show cooking in the hotel restaurant, the "Dine Around" concept of Souk Makadi ensures plenty of options.

The Suite Superior (SU2), with similar facility features to the Double Superior rooms, are more spacious (approx. 47 m²) and feature an additional seating/sleeping area separated from the rest of the room by a curtain.
Also bookable as a Double Room Deluxe (DD2). In this room, the seating/sleeping area is separated from the rest of the room by a sliding door.

Family Room Deluxe

The Family Rooms Deluxe (2DF) have the same facilities as the Family Rooms Superior. The sleeping area for children is separated from the rest of the room by a sliding door.

The spacious (approx. 56 m²) and elegant Junior Suites (J2S) offer, with the same facilities as the Double Superior, a queen-size bed, a separate living area, and 2 TVs. The Junior Suites are 56 m². They offer a variety of magnificent views and are luxuriously furnished.
