Travel information

Combined package of a Nile cruise on the MS Nile Excellence and a beach holiday, including all intermediate transfers. Accommodation at the hotel will always be in the cheapest available room category. If the Nile cruise is booked first, the inbound flight must be to Luxor. If the hotel is booked first and then the Nile cruise, the return flight must be from Luxor.

Route

The following excursions are automatically included when booking the MS Nile Excellence: Valley of the Kings, Kom Ombo Temple, and a visit to the High Dam in Aswan.

Day 1:
Arrival and embarkation. In the afternoon, visit the Luxor Museum (3). Dinner and overnight on board in Luxor.
Day 2:
A hot air balloon ride is possible at 5 AM (optional, bookable on site).
In the morning, after breakfast, excursion to Thebes West to the Temple of Hatshepsut (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon sailing to Edfu. Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 3:
Morning sailing to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board and visit of the Double Temple (1,2,3).
Continue sailing to Aswan, dinner and overnight on board.
Day 4:
In the morning, after breakfast, visit the Aswan High Dam (1,2,3).
Then, visit the Temple of Philae by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon felucca ride on the Nile (1,2,3).
Then, visit a Nubian village (3).
Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 5:
Early in the morning at 3:30 AM, opportunity for an excursion to Abu Simbel by bus (2,3), breakfast package included.
Then it's back to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board. Overnight and dinner on board.
Day 6:
Breakfast on board. The ship then continues to Esna. Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 7:
Breakfast. You then have the option to visit the Temple of Edfu (1,2,3).
The ship then sails on to Luxor.
Upon arrival, you have the option to visit the East Bank with the Luxor Temple (1,2,3) and Karnak Temple (1,2,3). There is an opportunity for a sound and light show at Karnak Temple (optional, can be booked on site).

Departure.

Facilities

The MS Nile Excellence has a total of 30 modernly furnished outside cabins spread across several decks. The reception area is bright and elegantly designed and features a reception desk. Enjoy culinary delights in the main restaurant and savor cool drinks from the three bars on board. Additionally, there is a small bazaar and a cozy reading corner. From Winter 2024/25, the ship will have a small gym, freely accessible to all guests on board. To make your vacation perfect, you can relax on the sun deck on the loungers or cool off in the pool while enjoying the breathtaking views of the landscape along the Nile.

Suite

The cheerfully furnished suites (S2) are approx. 24 sqm and feature a shower/WC, hairdryer, two single beds or one double bed, air conditioning (individually adjustable), minibar, safe, TV, telephone (for a fee), seating area, and a French balcony.
Also bookable for single occupancy (1SA).

Royal Suite

The Royal Suites (RS) have the same amenities as the suites but are larger (approx. 37 sqm). The Royal Suites are located on the middle and upper decks.
On the balcony of the Royal Suites, there is also a small table and two chairs.

Single Suites

The Single Suites (S1) are approx. 13 sqm and otherwise have the same amenities as the suites, but with only a single bed and no seating area.

Economy Suite

The Economy Suites (S2Z) are slightly smaller (approx. 21 sqm) with otherwise the same amenities as the suites, and may be without a French balcony and seating area, instead having a non-opening window.

The hotel, built in Moroccan style by the renowned JAZ Hotel Group, is located directly on the long, private sandy beach of the popular and idyllic Makadi Bay with a beautiful view of the coast. Hurghada Airport is approx. 30 km away. The hotel's own reef invites you to snorkel and dive in the breathtaking underwater world of the Red Sea. In close proximity is the Souk Makadi with numerous shops, restaurants, and bars, which invite you to stroll. The aqua park is approx. 3 km from the hotel.

Facilities

The JAZ Makadina is nestled in beautiful gardens and has 270 rooms spread across several small buildings within the complex. The hotel is also equipped with an inviting reception, several shops, a buffet restaurant, an à la carte restaurant (for a fee), and various bars. For culinary variety, in addition to the show cooking in the hotel restaurant, there is the "Dine Around" concept of Souk Makadi.
In the beautifully and spaciously designed garden area, there is a pool landscape with two swimming pools (one heated in winter) and a separate children's pool, as well as a pool bar and a beach bar. Additionally, there are two outdoor jacuzzis (adults only) in the outdoor area.
Sun loungers, cushions, umbrellas, and towels are provided free of charge at the pool and on the beach.

The cheerfully furnished Double Superior rooms (DSU) are approx. 38 sqm and feature a shower/WC, hairdryer, satellite TV, telephone (for a fee), air conditioning, coffee/tea maker (daily free refill), minibar (for a fee), safe (included), balcony, or terrace. Daily a large bottle of water in the room (free of charge).
Also bookable with pool view (DSP), side sea view (D2S), sea view (DMU), or for single occupancy (DEU/ESP/1SD/UME).

Suite Superior

The Suite Superior (SU2) rooms have similar amenities to the Double Superior rooms but are more spacious (approx. 47 sqm) and feature an additional seating/sleeping area separated by a curtain from the rest of the room.
Also bookable as Double Deluxe (DD2). In this room type, the seating/sleeping area is separated by a sliding door from the rest of the room.

Family Room Deluxe

The Family Rooms Deluxe (2DF) have the same amenities as the Family Rooms Superior. The sleeping area for children is separated from the rest of the room by a sliding door.

Junior Suite Side Sea View

The spacious (approx. 56 sqm) and elegant Junior Suites (J2S) offer, with the same amenities as the Double Superior rooms, a queen-size bed, a separate living area, and 2 TVs. The Junior Suites are 56 sqm. They offer a variety of wonderful views and are luxuriously furnished.
