Travel information

Combination package consisting of a Nile cruise on the MS Nile Excellence and a beach holiday, including all connecting transfers. Accommodation at the hotel is always provided in the most reasonably priced available room category. If the Nile cruise is booked first, the arrival flight must be to Luxor. If the hotel is booked first and the Nile cruise second, the return flight must be from Luxor.

Notice

The travel package you have selected has a duration of 12 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always provided for seven days according to the program. The pre- and post-stay at the hotel depends on your arrival day and the embarkation day. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

When booking the MS Nile Excellence, the following excursions are automatically included: Valley of the Kings, Kom Ombo Temple, and a visit to the High Dam in Aswan.

1st Day:
Arrival and embarkation. Afternoon visit to the Luxor Museum (3). Dinner and overnight stay on board in Luxor.
2nd Day:
At 5 a.m., a hot air balloon ride is possible (optional, bookable on site).
In the morning, after breakfast, excursion to Thebes-West to the Hatshepsut Temple (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon trip to Edfu. Dinner and overnight on board.
3rd Day:
Morning cruise to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board and visit to the Double Temple (1,2,3).
Cruise to Aswan, dinner and overnight on board.
4th Day:
Morning after breakfast, visit to the Aswan High Dam (1,2,3).
Afterwards, visit to the Philae Temple by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.

5th Day:
Early morning at 3:30 a.m., opportunity for an excursion to Abu Simbel by bus (2,3), breakfast box is included.
Then continue to Kom Ombo.

6th Day:
Breakfast on board. Then the ship continues to Esna. Dinner and overnight on board.
7th Day:
Breakfast. Afterwards you have the opportunity to visit the Edfu Temple (1,2,3).
Then the ship continues to Luxor.
Once there, you have the opportunity to visit the East Bank with the Luxor Temple (1,2,3) and the Karnak Temple (1,2,3). There is an opportunity for a Sound and Light show at the Karnak Temple (optional, can be booked locally).

Facilities

The MS Nile Excellence features a total of 30 modernly furnished outside cabins distributed across several decks. The reception area is bright and elegantly designed and features a front desk. Be pampered with culinary delights in the main restaurant and enjoy cool drinks served by the three bars on board. Furthermore, a small bazaar and a cozy reading corner are available to you. From winter 2024/25, the ship will have a small gym that is freely accessible to all guests on board. To make your holiday perfect, you can relax on the sun loungers on the sundeck or cool off in the pool while enjoying the dreamlike view of the landscape along the Nile.

Suite

The friendly furnished suites (S2) are approx. 24 m² in size and feature a shower/WC, hairdryer, two single beds or one double bed, air conditioning (individually adjustable), minibar, safe, TV, telephone (for a fee), seating area, and a French balcony.
Also bookable for single occupancy (1SA).

Royal Suite

The Royal Suites (RS) have the same features as the suites but are larger (approx. 37 m²). The Royal Suites are located on the middle deck and upper deck.
In the Royal Suites, there is also a small table and two chairs on the balcony.

Single Suite

The single suites (S1) are approx. 13 m² in size and otherwise equipped the same as the suites, but with only one single bed without a seating area.

Economy Suite

The economy suites (S2Z) have the same features as the suites but are slightly smaller (approx. 21 m²) and possibly without a French balcony and without a seating area, but with a non-opening window.

Location

Built in the Moroccan style, this hotel by the renowned JAZ hotel group is located directly on the private, long sandy beach of the popular and idyllic Makadi Bay with a beautiful view of the coast. Hurghada Airport is approx. 30 km away. The hotel's own reef invites you to snorkel and dive in the breathtaking underwater world of the Red Sea. In the immediate vicinity is Souk Makadi with numerous shops, restaurants, and bars that invite you to stroll. The Aqua Park is approx. 3 km from the hotel.

Facilities

The JAZ Makadina is embedded in a beautiful garden and features 270 rooms distributed among several small buildings in the complex. Furthermore, the hotel is equipped with an inviting reception, several shops, a buffet restaurant, an à-la-carte restaurant (for a fee), and various bars. For culinary variety, besides the show cooking in the hotel restaurant, the "Dine Around" concept of Souk Makadi is provided.

The friendly furnished Double Superior rooms (DSU) are approx. 38 m² in size and feature shower/WC, hairdryer, satellite TV, telephone (for a fee), air conditioning, coffee/tea maker (free daily refill), minibar (for a fee), safe (included), and a balcony or terrace. The Suite Superior (SU2) have similar features to the Double Superior rooms but are more spacious (approx. 47 m²) and feature an additional seating/sleeping corner separated from the rest of the room by a curtain.
Also bookable as Double Deluxe (DD2). In this room, the seating/sleeping corner is separated from the rest of the room by a sliding door.

Family Room Deluxe

The family rooms Deluxe (2DF) have the same features as the Family rooms Superior. The sleeping area for children is separated from the rest of the room by a sliding door.

The spacious (approx. 56 m²) and elegant junior suites (J2S) offer, with the same features as the Double Superior, a queen-size bed, a separate living area, and 2 TVs. The junior suites are 56 m². They offer a variety of magnificent views and are luxuriously furnished.
