Travel information

Combination product consisting of a Nile cruise on the MS Nile Excellence and a beach holiday including all intermediate transfers. Accommodation at the hotel is always provided in the lowest available room category. If the Nile cruise is booked first, the inbound flight must be to Luxor. If the hotel is booked first and the Nile cruise afterwards, the return flight must be from Luxor.

The travel offer you have chosen has a duration of 12 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always provided for seven days according to the program. The pre- and post-stay at the hotel depends on your arrival day and the embarkation day. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

At 5 a.m., a balloon ride is possible (optional, bookable on site).
Morning, after breakfast, excursion to Thebes-West to the Hatshepsut Temple (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon sailing to Edfu. Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 3:
Morning sailing to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board and visit to the Double Temple (1,2,3).
Sailing to Aswan, dinner and overnight on board.
Day 4:
Morning, after breakfast, visit to the Aswan High Dam (1,2,3).
Then visit the Philae Temple by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon felucca trip on the Nile (1,2,3).
Then visit to a Nubian village (3).

Day 5:
Early morning at 3:30 a.m., opportunity for an excursion to Abu Simbel by bus (2,3), breakfast box included.
Then return to Kom Ombo.

Breakfast on board. Then the ship continues to Esna. Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 7:
Breakfast. Then you have the opportunity to visit the Edfu Temple (1,2,3).
Afterwards, the ship continues to Luxor.

Facilities

The MS Nile Excellence has a total of 30 modernly furnished exterior cabins, spread across several decks. The reception area is bright and elegantly designed and has a reception desk. Let yourself be pampered in the main restaurant and enjoy cool drinks served by the three bars on board. Furthermore, a small bazaar and a cozy reading corner are at your disposal. From winter 2024/25, the ship will have a small fitness studio, which is freely accessible to all guests on board. To make your holiday perfect, you can relax on the sun loungers on the sundeck or cool off in the pool and enjoy the fantastic view of the landscape along the Nile.

Suite

The friendly furnished suites (S2) are approx. 24 m² in size and feature shower/WC, hairdryer, two single beds or one double bed, air conditioning (individually adjustable), minibar, safe, TV, telephone (for a fee), seating area, and French balcony.
Also bookable for single occupancy (1SA).

Royal Suite

The Royal Suites (RS) have the same features as the suites but are larger (approx. 37 m²). The Royal Suites are located on the middle deck and upper deck.
In the Royal Suites, there is also a small table and two chairs on the balcony.

Single Suites

The single suites (S1) are approx. 13 m² in size and otherwise feature the same amenities as the suites, but with only one single bed and no seating area.

Economy Suite

The economy suites (S2Z) are slightly smaller (approx. 21 m²) with otherwise the same amenities as the suites, and possibly without a French balcony and without a seating area, but with a window that cannot be opened.

The popular Iberotel Makadi Beach hotel is located directly on the beautiful and long sandy beach of the idyllic Makadi Bay. Experience the colorful underwater world of the Red Sea. The hotel's own reef grows in places up to the shore and offers very good diving and snorkeling conditions. Just a few meters from the hotel is the Makadi Souk, where you can look for a souvenir or enjoy oriental food in one of the nice restaurants. Hurghada is located approx. 35 km north.

Facilities

The spacious complex with two-story residential units that extend along the pool and garden landscape to the beach leaves nothing to be desired. The hotel has 313 rooms, an inviting reception hall with lobby and reception, Fun Pub, and shops and boutiques. A main restaurant, two à-la-carte restaurants, and an oriental restaurant provide for your culinary well-being. Further à-la-carte restaurants are available to guests at Madinat Makadi for a fee.
