Travel information

Combination product consisting of a Nile cruise on the MS Lady Carol and a beach holiday, including all transfers between services. Accommodation in the hotel is always provided in the most reasonably priced available room category. If the Nile cruise is booked first, the outbound flight must be to Luxor. If the hotel is booked first and the Nile cruise second, the return flight must be from Luxor.

Notice

The travel package you have selected has a duration of 12 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always for seven days as per the program. The pre- and post-stay at the hotel depends on your arrival day and embarkation day. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

Embarkation: Thursday
The itinerary may shift depending on the day of embarkation.
Itinerary:
1st day:
Arrival and embarkation. Afternoon visit to the Luxor Museum (3). Dinner and overnight on board in Luxor.
2nd day:
Sightseeing on the East Bank in Luxor. At 5 AM, hot air balloon excursion (optional, can be booked on-site).
Breakfast, sightseeing of the East Bank, the Karnak and Luxor Temples (1,2,3).
Lunch on board.
Dinner and overnight on board in Luxor.
3rd day:
Sightseeing on the West Bank. In the morning after breakfast, excursion to Thebes-West to the Temple of Hatshepsut (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Late evening departure for Esna. Dinner and overnight on board.
4th day:
Continuing from Esna.
Afterwards, proceed to Aswan, where the overnight stay will take place.
Lunch and dinner, plus overnight on board.
5th day:
In the morning after breakfast, visit the Aswan High Dam and the Old Dam in Aswan (1,2,3).
Then visit the Philae Temple by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon felucca ride on the Nile (1,2,3).
Followed by the opportunity to visit a Nubian village, with the desert on one side and the Nile on the other (3).
Dinner and overnight on board.
6th day:
You have the opportunity to explore Abu Simbel (2,3). Departure for Kom Ombo with a visit to the double temple (1,2,3). Dinner and overnight on board.
7th day:
Continuation to Esna and visit to the Edfu Temple (1,2,3). Overnight on board.
8th day:
Arrival in Luxor. Departure.

The ship features a friendly reception and a total of 72 beautiful outside cabins, spread over several decks. The main restaurant provides delicious meals. The offer is complemented by a cozy lounge bar. A small bazaar invites you to browse and explore. On the spacious sun deck, there is a large pool and a bar. Bath towels are included on board.

Cabins

The tastefully equipped cabins (K2) are approx. 19 m² in size and feature a bathroom with bath/WC, hairdryer, telephone, satellite TV, video system, air conditioning, minibar, and safe.
The cabins can also be booked for single use (K1 or KA1).

Economy cabins

The economy cabins (EK2) are equipped like the standard cabins, but are located on the lower decks and feature a small round window.

Cabin single occupancy

With the same equipment as the cabins, but slightly smaller (approx. 13 m²) and with only one bed (K1B). The window cannot be opened.

The best time of the year can be experienced in the idyllic grounds of the Pickalbatros Palace Resort. This spacious holiday resort is located directly on its own sandy beach. Deeper water can be reached conveniently via a jetty. Only 18 km from the center of Hurghada and about 11 km from the airport, a place of relaxation awaits you here.

Facilities

The holiday can be filled with a variety of activities: after intensive outdoor experiences, the wellness area provides the deepest relaxation. International delicacies in the various restaurants round off the culinary experience. The attractive, upscale category hotel consists of a main building and several annexes, in which the 621 rooms are spread. In the luxurious reception area, the hotel offers a reception with a spacious lobby, a hairdresser/beauty salon (for a fee), a shopping arcade, and an ATM. Six restaurants, including Moroccan and Italian cuisine, various bars, cafes, and an oriental pub delight the palate. In the spacious outdoor area, there is a large, lagoon-like pool landscape with several pools (one heated from November to April), a swim-up bar, as well as a separate fun area for children with slides and fountains (one heated children's pool). On the sun terraces and at the beach, sun loungers, sun umbrellas, and bath towels are available free of charge.
The water park of the neighboring "Beach Albatros" hotel, with its 18 slides (11 slides for adults and 7 for children), can also be used free of charge.

In the price of 75 € for adults and 38 € for children up to 11 years, in addition to daily free admission, snacks and soft drinks as well as the transfer from/to the accommodation hotel are included.
