Travel information

Combination package consisting of a Nile cruise on the MS Lady Carol and a beach holiday, including all intermediate transfers. Accommodation at the hotel is always provided in the most reasonably priced available room category. If the Nile cruise is booked first, the arrival flight must be to Luxor. If the hotel is booked first and the Nile cruise second, the return flight must be from Luxor.

Notice

The travel package you have selected has a duration of 12 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always provided for seven days according to the program. The pre-cruise and post-cruise stay at the hotel depends on your arrival day and the embarkation day. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

Itinerary:
Day 1:
Arrival and embarkation. Afternoon visit to the Luxor Museum (3) Dinner and overnight on board in Luxor.
Day 2:
Sightseeing on the East Bank in Luxor. At 5 am, optional hot air balloon excursion (can be booked locally).
Breakfast, tour of the East Bank, including Karnak and Luxor Temples (1,2,3).
Lunch on board.
Dinner and overnight on board in Luxor.
Day 3:
Sightseeing on the West Bank. After breakfast, excursion to Thebes-West to see the Hatshepsut Temple (1,2,3) and the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Late evening departure to Esna. Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 4:
Continue journey from Esna.
Then continue to Aswan, where the ship will dock for the night.

Day 5:
Morning after breakfast, visit the Aswan High Dam and the Old Dam in Aswan (1,2,3).
Then visit the Philae Temple by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon felucca ride on the Nile (1,2,3).
Afterwards, opportunity for a visit to a Nubian village, situated between the desert and the Nile (3).
Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 6:

The ship features a friendly reception and a total of 72 beautiful outside cabins spread over several decks. The main restaurant provides delicious meals for your well-being, complemented by a cozy lounge bar. A small bazaar invites you to stroll and browse. On the spacious sun deck, there is a large pool and a bar. Bath towels are included on board.

The economy cabins (EK2) are equipped like the standard cabins but are located on the lower decks and feature a small round window.

Single Cabin

With the same equipment as the cabins, but slightly smaller (approx. 13 m²) and with only one bed (K1B). The window cannot be opened.

Location

Spend a wonderful holiday with direct beach access in the popular Beach Albatros Resort of the renowned Pickalbatros hotel chain. Enjoy the view of the beautiful Red Sea and let yourself be enchanted. The resort is located directly on a fine sandy beach and is considered particularly family-friendly. It is about 17 km to the center of Hurghada and about 11 km to the airport.

Facilities

This particularly family-friendly resort has 678 rooms distributed across a main building and several bungalows. Upper floors can be comfortably reached via five elevators. The lobby area offers a reception and a lobby bar. There are four different buffet restaurants ("L'Asiatique"-Asian, "Le Marche"-International, "Culina"-Seafood, "Sidi Ali"-Oriental cuisine), an à-la-carte restaurant, a shisha corner (for a fee), various bars, as well as a hairdresser and boutiques. The "Dolce Vita Lounge Bar," newly opened in summer 2023, delights with its luxurious atmosphere and delicious cocktails. Outside, the pool area consists of 9 swimming pools (some heatable in winter), four of which have integrated children's areas, plus a children's pool, 13 slides for adults, and 9 slides for children, providing plenty of water fun. Sun loungers, umbrellas, and beach towels are available free of charge at the pools and on the beach.

Bungalow Garden View

The Bungalow Garden View (BG2) rooms are approx. 30 m² and are equipped with a double bed or two single beds, shower/WC, tiled floors, air conditioning, telephone, safe (included), satellite TV, mini-fridge (1 bottle of water per person per day included), kettle, and balcony or terrace.
Also available as Type I rooms (BGI/DEI) at a special price and with limited availability.

The bungalows are identical in size and equipment to the Garden View bungalows, but the view may vary (BU/B2A/B1B).

The Double Room Sea View (approx. 24 m², DM) has the same equipment as the Bungalow Garden View, features an additional sea view, and is located in the main building.
Also available for single occupancy (DEM).

Super Saver Room

The Super Saver Rooms (SSZ) feature the same equipment as the Bungalow Garden View, are distributed throughout the hotel complex, and have limited availability.

Suite Sea View

The Suites Sea View (S2M) have the same equipment as the Bungalow Garden View but are more spacious (approx. 48 m²) with a living/sleeping room and a separate bedroom. The rooms are located in the main building.

Double Room Deluxe (HRGA05)

These double rooms are approx. 28 m² and are equipped with air conditioning, TV, shower/WC, and a balcony or terrace with a garden view (DD2/DD3). Optionally also available without a specific view (DDA), with pool view (approx. 24 m², DPB), on the sea side (approx. 24 m², X2M), or with sea view (approx. 24 m², DDM).
