Travel information

Combined product featuring a Nile cruise on the MS Nile Excellence and a beach holiday, including all intermediate transfers. Accommodation at the hotel is always provided in the most reasonably priced available room category. If the Nile cruise is booked first, the flight must arrive in Luxor. If the hotel is booked first and the Nile cruise second, the return flight must depart from Luxor.

Notice

The travel package you have selected has a duration of 14 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always provided for seven days according to the program. The pre-cruise and post-cruise stay at the hotel depends on your arrival date and the date of embarkation. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

When booking the MS Nile Excellence, the following excursions are automatically included: Valley of the Kings, Kom Ombo Temple, and a visit to the High Dam in Aswan.

Arrival and embarkation. Afternoon visit to the Luxor Museum (3). Dinner and overnight stay on board in Luxor.
Day 2:
At 5 a.m., a hot air balloon flight is possible (optional, bookable on site).
In the morning, after breakfast, excursion to Thebes-West to the Temple of Hatshepsut (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
In the afternoon, travel to Edfu. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 3:
Morning cruise to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board and visit to the Double Temple (1,2,3).
Continue to Aswan, dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 4:
In the morning after breakfast, visit to the Aswan High Dam (1,2,3).
Then visit the Philae Temple by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon felucca trip on the Nile (1,2,3).
Then visit to a Nubian village (3).
Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 5:
Early morning at 3:30 a.m., opportunity for an excursion to Abu Simbel by bus (2,3); a breakfast box is included.
Then return to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board. Overnight stay and dinner on board.
Day 6:
Breakfast on board. Then the ship continues to Esna. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 7:
Breakfast. Then you have the opportunity to visit the Temple of Edfu (1,2,3).
Afterward, the ship continues to Luxor.
Upon arrival, you have the opportunity to visit the East Bank with the Luxor Temple (1,2,3) and the Karnak Temple (1,2,3). There is an opportunity for a Sound and Light show at the Karnak Temple (optional, can be booked on site).

Facilities

The MS Nile Excellence features a total of 30 modernly furnished outside cabins, distributed over several decks. The reception area is bright and elegantly designed and has a reception desk. Let yourself be pampered in the main restaurant and enjoy the cool drinks served by the three bars on board. Furthermore, a small bazaar and a cozy reading corner are at your disposal. From winter 2024/25, the ship will have a small fitness studio, which is freely accessible to all guests on board. To make your holiday perfect, you can relax on the sun loungers on the sun deck or cool off in the pool and enjoy the dreamlike view of the landscape along the Nile.

Suite

The friendly furnished suites (S2) are approx. 24 m² in size and feature a shower/WC, hairdryer, two single beds or one double bed, air conditioning (individually adjustable), minibar, safe, TV, telephone (for a fee), seating area, and a French balcony.
Also bookable for single use (1SA).

Royal Suite

The Royal Suites (RS) have the same facilities as the suites but are larger (approx. 37 m²). The Royal Suites are located on the middle and upper decks.
In the Royal Suites, there is also a small table and two chairs on the balcony.

Single suites

The single suites (S1) are approx. 13 m² in size and are otherwise equipped the same as the suites, but with only one single bed and no seating area.

Economy Suite

The economy suites (S2Z) are somewhat smaller (approx. 21 m²) with otherwise the same facilities as the suites, possibly without a French balcony and without a seating area, but with a non-opening window.

Spend a wonderful holiday with a direct beach location at the popular Beach Albatros Resort of the renowned Pickalbatros hotel chain. Enjoy the view of the beautiful Red Sea and let yourself be enchanted. The holiday resort is located directly on the fine-grained sandy beach and is considered particularly family-friendly. It is about 17 km to the center of Hurghada and approx. 11 km to the airport.

Facilities

This particularly family-friendly resort features 678 rooms distributed across a main building and several bungalows. Upper floors can be reached comfortably via the five elevators. The lobby hall offers a reception and a lobby bar. There are four different buffet restaurants ("L'Asiatique"-Asian, "Le Marche"-international, "Culina"-seafood, "Sidi Ali"-oriental cuisine), an à la carte restaurant, a shisha corner (for a fee), various bars, as well as a hairdresser and boutiques. The "Dolce Vita Lounge Bar," newly opened in summer 2023, delights with a luxurious atmosphere and delicious cocktails. Outside, the pool landscape stretches across a total of 9 swimming pools (partially heated in winter), four of which have an integrated children's area and a children's pool, 13 slides for adults, and 9 slides for children, ensuring plenty of water fun. Bungalow Garden View

The Bungalows Garden View (BG2) are approximately 30 m² in size and are equipped with a double bed or two single beds, shower/WC, tiles, air conditioning, telephone, safe (included), satellite TV, mini-fridge (1 bottle of water per person per day included), electric kettle, and a balcony or terrace.

Double Room Sea View

The Double Rooms Sea View (approx. 24 m², DM) have the same facilities as the Bungalow Garden View, additionally feature a sea view, and are located in the main building.

Super Saver Room

The Super Saver rooms (SSZ) have the same facilities as the Bungalow Garden View, are distributed throughout the hotel complex, and have limited availability.

The Family Rooms (DF2) have the same facilities as the Bungalow Garden View, but are larger (approx. 48 m²), consist of 2 bedrooms and a bathroom, as well as a balcony or terrace.

Suite Sea View

The Suites Sea View (S2M) have the same facilities as the Bungalow Garden View, but are more spacious (approx. 48 m²) with a living/sleeping room and a separate bedroom. The rooms are located in the main building.

Double Room Deluxe (HRGA05)

These double rooms are approx. 28 m² in size and equipped with air conditioning, TV, shower/WC, and a balcony or terrace with a view of the garden (DD2/DD3). Optionally bookable without a specific view (DDA), with pool view and slightly smaller at approx. 24 m² (DPB), towards the sea side (approx. 24 m², X2M), or with sea view (approx. 24 m², DDM).
