Travel information

Combined product consisting of a Nile cruise on the MS Nile Excellence and a beach holiday, including all transfers between segments. Accommodation at the hotel is always provided in the most affordable available room category. If the Nile cruise is booked first, the outbound flight must be to Luxor. If the hotel is booked first and the Nile cruise follows, the return flight must be from Luxor.

Notice

The travel package you have selected has a duration of 14 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always provided for seven days according to the program. The pre- and post-stay at the hotel depends on your arrival day and the embarkation day. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

Itinerary

When booking the MS Nile Excellence, the following excursions are automatically included: Valley of the Kings, Kom Ombo Temple, and a visit to the Aswan High Dam.

1st Day:
Arrival and embarkation. Afternoon visit to the Luxor Museum (3). Dinner and overnight stay on board in Luxor.
2nd Day:
At 5 a.m., a hot air balloon ride is possible (optional, bookable on-site).
In the morning, after breakfast, excursion to Thebes-West to the Hatshepsut Temple (1,2,3) with a viewing of the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon sailing to Edfu. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
3rd Day:
Morning sailing to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board and visit to the Double Temple (1,2,3).
Continue sailing to Aswan, dinner and overnight stay on board.
4th Day:
Morning after breakfast, visit to the Aswan High Dam (1,2,3).
Followed by a visit to the Philae Temple by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon felucca ride on the Nile (1,2,3).
Followed by a visit to a Nubian village (3).
Dinner and overnight stay on board.
5th Day:
Early morning at 3:30 a.m., opportunity for an excursion to Abu Simbel by bus (2,3), breakfast box is included.
Then proceed back to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board. Overnight stay and dinner on board.
6th Day:
Breakfast on board. Then the ship continues to Esna. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
7th Day:
Breakfast. Afterwards, you have the option to visit the Edfu Temple (1,2,3).
Then the ship continues to Luxor.
Upon arrival, you have the option to visit the East Bank with the Luxor Temple (1,2,3) and the Karnak Temple (1,2,3). There is an opportunity for a Sound and Light Show at the Karnak Temple (optional, can be added on-site).
8th Day:
Departure.

Facilities

The MS Nile Excellence has a total of 30 modernly furnished exterior cabins, spread across several decks. The reception area is bright and elegantly designed and features a reception desk. Indulge in culinary delights in the main restaurant and enjoy cool drinks served by the three bars on board. Furthermore, there is a small bazaar and a cozy reading corner at your disposal. From winter 2024/25, the ship will have a small gym that is freely accessible to all guests on board. To make your holiday perfect, you can relax on the sun loungers on the sun deck or cool off in the pool and enjoy the dreamlike view of the landscape along the Nile.

Accommodation

Suite

The friendly furnished suites (S2) are approx. 24 m² and feature shower/WC, hairdryer, two single beds or one double bed, air conditioning (individually adjustable), minibar, safe, TV, telephone (for a fee), seating area and French balcony.
Also bookable for single use (1SA).

Royal Suite

The Royal Suites (RS) feature the same amenities as the suites but are larger (approx. 37 m²). The Royal Suites are located on the middle and upper deck.
In the Royal Suites, there is also a small table and two chairs on the balcony.

Single Suites

The single suites (S1) are approx. 13 m² and otherwise identical in equipment to the suites, but with only one single bed without a seating area.

Economy Suite

The economy suites (S2Z) have otherwise the same amenities as the suites but are slightly smaller (approx. 21 m²) and possibly without a French balcony and without a seating area, instead featuring a non-opening window.

Location

Spend a wonderful holiday with a direct beach location at the popular Beach Albatros Resort of the renowned Pickalbatros hotel chain. Enjoy the view of the beautiful Red Sea and let yourself be enchanted. The holiday resort is located directly on a fine-grained sandy beach and is considered particularly family-friendly. It is about 17 km to the center of Hurghada and approx. 11 km to the airport.

Facilities

This particularly family-friendly resort features 678 rooms spread across a main building and several bungalows. Upper floors can be comfortably reached via the five elevators. The lobby area offers a reception and a lobby bar. There are four different buffet restaurants ("L'Asiatique"-Asian, "Le Marche"-International, "Culina"-Seafood, "Sidi Ali"-Oriental cuisine), an à-la-carte restaurant, a shisha corner (for a fee), diverse bars, as well as a hair salon and boutiques. The "Dolce Vita Lounge Bar," newly opened in summer 2023, delights with a luxurious atmosphere and delicious cocktails. In the outdoor area, the pool landscape extends with a total of 9 swimming pools (partially heated in winter), four of which have an integrated children's area, a children's pool, 13 slides for adults, and 9 slides for children, which ensure plenty of water fun. Sun loungers, parasols, and beach towels are available free of charge at the pools and on the beach.

Bungalow Garden View

The Garden View Bungalows (BG2) are approx. 30 m² and are equipped with a double bed or two single beds, shower/WC, tile floors, air conditioning, telephone, safe (included), satellite TV, mini-fridge (1 bottle of water per person per day included), electric kettle, and a balcony or terrace.
Additionally bookable as Type I room (BGI/DEI) with a special price and limited allotment.
Available with pool view (B2O) or for single use (BG1/B1O) for an extra charge.

HRGA05: Bungalow

The bungalows are identical in size and equipment to the Garden View Bungalows, but the view may vary (BU/B2A/B1B).

The Superior Pool View double rooms (DSP) are equipped similarly to the Garden View Bungalow but are larger (approx. 36 m²) and feature a pool view. The rooms can be located in the main building or in the annex buildings.

Double Room Sea View

The Sea View double rooms (approx. 24 m², DM) have the same equipment as the Garden View Bungalows, additionally feature a sea view, and are located in the main building.
Also bookable for single use (DEM).

Super-Saver Room

The super-saver rooms (SSZ) feature the same equipment as the Garden View Bungalows, are distributed throughout the entire hotel complex, and have a limited allotment.

The family rooms (DF2) have the same equipment as the Garden View Bungalows but are larger (approx. 48 m²), consist of 2 bedrooms and a bathroom, as well as a balcony or terrace.

Suite Sea View

The sea view suites (S2M) have the same equipment as the Garden View Bungalows but are more spacious (approx. 48 m²) with a living/bedroom and a separate bedroom. The rooms are located in the main building.

Double Room Deluxe (HRGA05)

These double rooms are approx. 28 m² and equipped with air conditioning, TV, shower/WC, and a balcony or terrace with a garden view (DD2/DD3). Optionally bookable without a special view (DDA), with a pool view and slightly smaller at approx. 24 m² (DPB), towards the sea side (approx. 24 m², X2M), or with a sea view (approx. 24 m², DDM).
