Travel information

Combination package consisting of a Nile cruise on the MS Nile Excellence and a beach holiday including all intermediate transfers. Accommodation at the hotel is always provided in the most reasonably priced available room category. If the Nile cruise is booked first, the outbound flight must be to Luxor. If the hotel is booked first and the Nile cruise afterwards, the return flight must be from Luxor.

Notice

The holiday package you have chosen has a duration of 14 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always for seven days according to the program. The pre- and post-stay at the hotel depends on your arrival day and the embarkation day. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

Arrival and embarkation. Afternoon visit to the Luxor Museum (3). Dinner and overnight stay on board in Luxor.

At 5 a.m., a hot air balloon ride is possible (optional, bookable on site).
In the morning, after breakfast, excursion to Thebes-West to the Hatshepsut Temple (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon sailing to Edfu. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 3:
Morning cruise to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board and visit to the Double Temple (1,2,3).
Continue sailing to Aswan, dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 4:
Morning after breakfast, visit to the Aswan High Dam (1,2,3).
Afterwards, visit to the Philae Temple by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon felucca ride on the Nile (1,2,3).

Early morning at 3:30 a.m., opportunity for an excursion to Abu Simbel by bus (2,3), breakfast box is included.

Breakfast on board. Then the ship continues to Esna. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 7:
Breakfast. Afterwards, you have the opportunity to visit the Edfu Temple (1,2,3).
Then the ship continues to Luxor.

Facilities

The MS Nile Excellence has a total of 30 modernly furnished outside cabins, spread over several decks. The reception area is bright and elegantly designed and features a reception desk. Indulge your palate in the main restaurant and enjoy cool drinks served by the three bars on board. Furthermore, there is a small bazaar and a cozy reading corner at your disposal. From winter 2024/25, the ship will feature a small gym, which is freely accessible to all guests on board. To make your holiday perfect, you can relax on the sun deck loungers or cool off in the pool and enjoy the dreamlike view of the landscape along the Nile.

Suite

The comfortably furnished suites (S2) are approx. 24 m² and have a shower/WC, hairdryer, two single beds or one double bed, air conditioning (individually adjustable), minibar, safe, TV, telephone (for a fee), sitting area, and French balcony.
Also available for single use (1SA).

Royal Suite

The Royal Suites (RS) offer the same amenities as the suites but are larger (approx. 37 m²). The Royal Suites are located on the middle deck and upper deck.
In the Royal Suites, there is also a small table and two chairs on the balcony.

Single Suites

The single suites (S1) are approx. 13 m² in size and otherwise have the same equipment as the suites, but with only one single bed without a sitting area.

Economy Suite

The economy suites (S2Z) are slightly smaller (approx. 21 m²) than the suites with otherwise identical features and possibly without a French balcony and without a sitting area, but with a non-opening window.

The family-friendly hotel is situated directly on a 1,500-meter-long, beautifully landscaped lagoon with a hotel-owned beach area in El Gouna, north of Hurghada. A shuttle boat transfer (approx. 15 minutes) takes guests to another private island beach on the open sea, the beautiful Zeytouna Beach. From Zeytouna Beach, a long jetty leads out into the Red Sea. Experience the fascinating underwater world while snorkeling from there. The center of El Gouna is approx. 350 m away. The distance to Hurghada Airport is approx. 25 kilometers.

Facilities

Built in the Nubian village style, the complex delights with a cozy flair, characterized by towers, domes, and arches, and features 434 comfortably furnished rooms spread across several two-story buildings. The resort has a beautiful and welcoming reception area with seating and Wi-Fi in all public areas of the complex. In the outdoor area, there are four different swimming pools (fitness pool, sunset pool with two smaller slides, Aqua Splash pool with four different water slides, Dolphin pool), three of which can be heated in winter. There are also four children's pools for the young guests, three of which can be heated in winter. One of these pools features small slides and water games. Loungers, pool towels, and sunshades are provided free of charge at the pools and at the hotel's own beach. For your culinary well-being, there is a main restaurant and four different specialty restaurants as well as various bars.

Comfort Double Room (DK2)

The tastefully furnished rooms (approx. 21 m²) have been completely renovated and feature a bathroom with shower/WC, minibar (for a fee), air conditioning, telephone, hairdryer, kettle, coffee/tea making facilities, safe, satellite TV, Wi-Fi, and balcony or terrace with pool view and garden view. Also bookable for single use (DK1).

Premium Room (PR2)

With the same amenities as the double rooms but more spacious (approx. 28 m²), these rooms have a view of the pool/garden or lagoon. Also bookable for single use (PR1).

The cozy family rooms have the same equipment features as the double rooms but are more spacious (approx. 37 m²).

Superior Double Room

The newly bookable Superior rooms (DSU, 28 m²) are renovated and offer a choice of different views depending on the room's location in the hotel – either with a view of the garden or the refreshing pool. The rooms are equipped with two different bed types: a spacious king-size bed or two single beds, depending on your preference. The rooms feature free Wi-Fi, air conditioning, a kettle, and tea and coffee-making facilities.

The main restaurant “Sunny Restaurant” offers breakfast (07-10:00), lunch (12-14:30), and dinner (18:30-21:00) in buffet form. Additionally, the restaurant offers a teatime with various snacks from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. Various specialty restaurants are also available: “Greenhouse” with vegan and vegetarian dishes in the morning (7:30-11 a.m. in buffet form), lunch (11 a.m.-3 p.m. a la carte for a fee), and dinner (6-9 p.m. a la carte for a fee with prior reservation). “Lagoon Lunch” at noon (12-3 p.m. a la carte). “Dolce Vita” with Italian dishes (6:30-9 p.m. a la carte) as well as “Chez Pascal” with a selection of various specialties (6:30-9 p.m. a la carte for a fee on Fridays). Dine Around El Gouna

The Dine-Around program allows guests with half-board, full-board, or all-inclusive to enjoy a special culinary experience. Guests can dine in participating restaurants of other hotels – entirely at no extra cost for the food (excluding drinks).
Depending on the length of stay, guests can use the Dine-Around offer multiple times: 1x from four nights, up to 3x for five to seven nights, and up to 4x for eight or more nights. Guests of 5-star hotels have access to all participating restaurants.
