Travel Information

Combined product of a Nile cruise on the MS Nile Excellence and a beach holiday, including all intermediate transfers. Accommodation in the hotel will always be in the cheapest available room category. If the Nile cruise is booked first, the outbound flight must be to Luxor. If the hotel is booked first and then the Nile cruise, the return flight must be from Luxor.

The travel offer you have selected has a duration of 10 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always for seven days according to the program. The pre- and post-stay at the hotel depends on your arrival day and embarkation day. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

Route

The following excursions are automatically included when booking the MS Nile Excellence: Valley of the Kings, Kom Ombo Temple, and a visit to the High Dam in Aswan.

Day 1:
Arrival and embarkation. Visit to the Luxor Museum in the afternoon (3). Dinner and overnight on board in Luxor.
Day 2:
A hot air balloon ride is possible at 5 AM (optional, bookable on-site).
In the morning, after breakfast, excursion to West Thebes to the Temple of Hatshepsut (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon sailing to Edfu. Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 3:
Continue sailing to Kom Ombo in the morning.
Lunch on board and visit to the double temple (1,2,3).
Continue sailing to Aswan, dinner and overnight on board.
Day 4:
In the morning, after breakfast, visit to the Aswan High Dam (1,2,3).
Then visit to the Temple of Philae by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon felucca sailing on the Nile (1,2,3).
Then visit to a Nubian village (3).
Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 5:
Early morning at 3:30 AM, opportunity for an excursion to Abu Simbel by bus (2,3), breakfast package included.
Then back to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board. Overnight and dinner on board.
Day 6:
Breakfast on board. The ship then continues to Esna. Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 7:
Breakfast. You then have the option to visit the Temple of Edfu (1,2,3).
The ship then continues to Luxor.
Upon arrival, you have the option to visit the East Bank with the Luxor Temple (1,2,3) and the Karnak Temple (1,2,3). There is an opportunity for a sound and light show at the Karnak Temple (optional, can be booked on-site).

Departure.

Facilities

The MS Nile Excellence has a total of 30 modernly furnished outside cabins spread across several decks. The reception area is bright and elegantly designed and features a reception desk. Enjoy culinary delights in the main restaurant and savor cool drinks served by the three bars on board. A small bazaar and a cozy reading corner are also available. Starting from Winter 2024/25, the ship will feature a small fitness studio, freely accessible to all guests on board. To make your vacation perfect, you can relax on the loungers on the sun deck or cool off in the pool while enjoying the fantastic view of the landscape along the Nile.

Accommodation

Suite

The friendly furnished suites (S2) are approx. 24 sqm and feature a shower/WC, hairdryer, two single beds or one double bed, air conditioning (individually adjustable), minibar, safe, TV, telephone (for a fee), seating area, and French balcony. Also available for single occupancy (1SA).

Royal Suite

The Royal Suites (RS) have the same amenities as the suites but are larger (approx. 37 sqm). The Royal Suites are located on the middle and upper decks. The Royal Suites also have a small table and two chairs on the balcony.

Single Suite

The single suites (S1) are approx. 13 sqm and otherwise equipped the same as the suites, but with only one single bed and no seating area.

Economy Suite

The economy suites (S2Z) are slightly smaller (approx. 21 sqm) with otherwise the same amenities as the suites, and may not have a French balcony and seating area, but rather a non-opening window.

Full Board

Breakfast, lunch, and dinner as a buffet or set menu. Breakfast includes soft and hot drinks. Lunch and dinner include two soft drinks and a small bottle of water per person.

All Inclusive

All Inclusive

Breakfast, lunch, and dinner buffet style. Selected local alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks included from 11 AM to 11 PM at the lounge/sundeck bar. Afternoon coffee, tea, and pastries during the journey. Daily refill of the minibar with 2 small bottles of water. Once a week, the minibar will be stocked with soft drinks. Built in Nubian style, the Sheraton Miramar Resort invites you to relax and unwind. The beautiful hotel complex extends over nine small islands, on which the various hotel buildings are spread out. The island landscape is connected by wooden bridges. Surrounded by crystal-clear lagoons and beautiful sandy beaches, the location creates a very special atmosphere that immediately puts you in a holiday mood. The hotel is located about 25 km north of Hurghada, just a few minutes' drive from the center of El Gouna with its various shops, restaurants, and bars. For a fee, you can use the regularly running boat and bus shuttle. The airport of Hurghada is about 40 km away.

Double Room Superior with Pool or Lagoon View

The cosily furnished rooms (DSU) have been freshly renovated and are approx. 38 sqm. The rooms feature a walk-in shower, WC, hairdryer, individually adjustable air conditioning, telephone, LCD TV, minibar (refilled daily with soft drinks), coffee and tea maker, safe, and a balcony or terrace with a view of the hotel's lagoon. Also available as a double room for single occupancy (DEU). (Bookable under HRGA16 with SL2/SL1 or as Beachfront (BF2/BF1)).

Double Room Premium with Partial Sea View

The rooms (P2D) feature a walk-in shower, WC, hairdryer, individually adjustable air conditioning, telephone, LCD TV, minibar (refilled daily with soft drinks), coffee and tea maker, seating area, safe, and a balcony or terrace. The rooms have a partial sea view and have been renovated. (Additionally bookable under HRGA16 with PDZ/PSD.)

Beachfront Deluxe Room

The freshly renovated Beachfront Deluxe Rooms (BF2) offer the same amenities as the double rooms but are located in the first row of the beach. Also available for single occupancy (BF1).

The Family Rooms (DF2) offer the same amenities as the double rooms but consist of two rooms with an connecting door.

Superior Suite (HRGA16)

The Superior Suites (SU2) are similar in amenities to the Superior Double Rooms but do not have a walk-in shower and are larger at approx. 42 sqm. Also available for single occupancy (SU1).

Junior Suite

The Junior Suite (JS2) offers the same amenities as the double rooms but is more spacious (approx. 52 sqm) and has an open living area. Also available for single occupancy (JS1).

The main restaurant "Miramar" offers breakfast (7-10:30 AM) and dinner (6-9:30 PM) buffet style. Lunch is served in the "Miramar" or "Waves" restaurant. Local beer, local spirits, and local wines, soft drinks, ice cream, tea, mineral water, and coffee are included around the clock at the respective open bar. Drinks in the minibar are also included (daily refill of soft drinks). ATTENTION: When booking Ultra All Inclusive, the Club Package is not included. Dine Around El Gouna

The Dine-Around program offers guests with Half Board, Full Board, or All-Inclusive a special culinary experience. Guests can dine in participating restaurants in other hotels - at no extra cost for the food (drinks excluded). Depending on the length of stay, guests can use the Dine-Around offer multiple times: once for stays of four nights or more, up to 3 times for five to seven nights, and up to 4 times for eight nights or more.
