Travel information

Combination product consisting of a Nile cruise on the MS Lady Carol and a beach holiday, including all intermediate transfers. Accommodation at the hotel is always in the most affordable available room category. Embarkation always takes place on Saturdays. The trip must be started at least one day in advance, as an overnight stay prior to the cruise is mandatory. The earliest possible embarkation is always selected.

Notice

The travel package you have chosen has a duration of 14 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always for seven days according to the program. The pre-cruise and post-cruise stay at the hotel depends on your arrival day and the embarkation day. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

The itinerary may shift depending on the embarkation day.
Itinerary:
Day 1:
Arrival and embarkation. In the afternoon, visit the Luxor Museum (3). Dinner and overnight stay on board in Luxor.
Day 2:
Visit to the East Bank in Luxor. At 5 AM, hot air balloon excursion (optional, can be booked on site).
Breakfast, visit to the East Bank, Karnak Temple and Luxor Temple (1,2,3).
Lunch on board.
Dinner and overnight stay on board in Luxor.
Day 3:
Visit to the West Bank. After breakfast, excursion to Thebes-West to the Temple of Hatshepsut (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Late in the evening, departure for Esna. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 4:
Continue sailing from Esna.
Then proceed to Aswan, where the overnight stay takes place.

Day 5:
After breakfast, visit the Aswan High Dam and the Old Dam in Aswan (1,2,3).
Then visit the Philae Temple by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
In the afternoon, felucca ride on the Nile (1,2,3).
Opportunity to visit a Nubian village with the desert on one side and the Nile on the other (3).
Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 6:
Opportunity to explore Abu Simbel (2,3). Sailing to Kom Ombo with a visit to the double temple (1,2,3). Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 7:
Continue sailing to Esna and visit the Temple of Edfu (1,2,3). Overnight stay on board.
Day 8:
Arrival in Luxor. Departure.

The ship features a welcoming reception and a total of 72 beautiful outside cabins spread over several decks. The main restaurant provides delicious meals. Cabins

The tastefully furnished cabins (K2) are approx. 19 m² in size and have a bathroom with bath/WC, hairdryer, telephone, satellite TV, video system, air conditioning, minibar, and safe.
The cabins can also be booked for single use (K1 or KA1).

Economy cabins

The economy cabins (EK2) are equipped like the standard cabins, but are located on the lower decks and have a small circular window.

Single cabin

With the same amenities as the cabins, but slightly smaller (approx. 13 m²) and with only one bed (K1B). The window cannot be opened.

Spend a fantastic family holiday at the "Steigenberger Aqua Magic". The 5-star hotel offers fun for the whole family and delights young and old with its spacious water park. The tastefully designed „ALDAU Art Promenade“ separates the complex from the gently sloping sandy beach approx. 400 meters away. Be fascinated by the magical underwater world of the Red Sea while snorkeling or diving. If required, the hotel offers shuttle services to the beach (subject to availability). Your holiday destination is located in the newer part of Hurghada on the modern promenade with oriental cafés, bars, international pubs, and small shops. The town center of Hurghada with the famous "Sakalla" is approx. 6 km away. Hurghada Airport is approx. 5 km away.

Facilities

The extensive hotel complex is designed to be particularly child-friendly and family-friendly and features 718 generously equipped rooms and suites. The property welcomes guests in a spacious lobby with reception and lobby bar, as well as a cozy lounge with seating. Wi-Fi is available free of charge throughout the hotel. In the outdoor area, there are nine swimming pools, one with an integrated children's pool, covering over 2,600m², which can be partially heated in winter. The hotel also has an aqua park with various water slides, which can be used by guests from 1.20 meters in height. The highlight for all water lovers is the 400-meter-long “Lazy River” that flows through the entire complex. On the roof terrace, there is a relax pool, which is only accessible to adults. Sun loungers, parasols, and bath towels are available to guests free of charge at the pools and on the beach. For your culinary needs, the “Magic Flavors” main restaurant is available, plus three different à-la-carte restaurants, a snack bar, and various pool and beach bars. Family suite

The family suites (2FS/ASF) have the same amenities as the deluxe double rooms but are more spacious (approx. 55 m²) and equipped with a master bedroom and a separate sleeping area with twin beds for the children. The master bedroom is separated from the sleeping area and hallway by a door. Wi-Fi access for 3 devices is free of charge. Also bookable as a suite (SA).

Family junior suite

The family junior suites (FJ2/FJA, approx. 68 m²) have the same amenities as the family suites, plus a master bedroom and a separate living/sleeping room. The double rooms (DA) feature similar amenities as the superior double rooms but are slightly smaller (approx. 24 m²) and in a renovated, modern style. The rooms have no balcony. Wi-Fi access for 2 devices is free of charge.

The “Magic Flavors” main restaurant offers breakfast (07:00–10:30), lunch (13:00–15:00), and dinner (18:00–21:30) in buffet form with theme nights and live cooking stations. Additionally, the following à-la-carte restaurants are available: The “Magic Orient Restaurant” offers oriental dinner. The “Magic Palappa Restaurant” offers Italian cuisine for breakfast (08:00–10:30), late breakfast (10:30–12:00), lunch (13:00–16:00), and dinner (18:30–21:00). The “Magic Sky Restaurant” offers dinner (18:30–21:00) on the hotel's rooftop. All mentioned restaurants are included once per week (minimum stay of 5 nights) and must be reserved.
