Travel information

Combination product consisting of a Nile cruise on the MS Lady Carol and a beach holiday including all intermediate transfers. Accommodation at the hotel is always provided in the most affordable available room category. Embarkation always takes place on Saturdays. The trip must be started at least one day in advance, as an overnight stay beforehand is mandatory. The earliest possible embarkation date is always used.

Notice

The travel offer you have chosen has a duration of 14 Days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always provided for seven days according to the program. The preliminary and subsequent stay at the hotel depends on your arrival day and the embarkation day. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

1. Day:
Arrival and embarkation. In the afternoon, visit to the Luxor Museum (3). Dinner and overnight stay on board in Luxor.
2. Day:
Sightseeing on the East Bank in Luxor. At 5 a.m. hot air balloon excursion (optional, can be booked on-site).
Breakfast, tour of the East Bank, the Karnak and Luxor temples (1,2,3).
Lunch on board.
Dinner and overnight stay on board in Luxor.
3. Day:
Sightseeing on the West Bank. In the morning after breakfast, excursion to Thebes-West to the Hatshepsut Temple (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Late in the evening, departure for Esna. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
4. Day:
Continue journey from Esna.
Afterwards, the journey continues to Aswan, where the overnight stay takes place.

Morning after breakfast, visit to the Aswan High Dam and the Old Dam in Aswan (1,2,3).
Afterwards, visit to the Philae Temple by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.

Afterwards, opportunity to visit a Nubian village with the desert on one side and the Nile on the other (3).

The ship features a friendly reception and a total of 72 beautiful exterior cabins distributed across several decks. The main restaurant provides delicious meals for your physical well-being. The offering is complemented by a cozy lounge bar. A small bazaar invites you to stroll and browse. On the spacious sundeck, there is a large pool and a bar. Bath towels are included on board.

Economy cabins

The economy cabins (EK2) are equipped like the standard cabins, but are located on the lower decks and feature a small round window.

The exclusive Steigenberger Golf Resort is located on a peninsula, surrounded by a dreamlike lagoon with its own lagoon beach and the spacious 18-hole golf course. The turquoise-blue lagoon landscape invites you to relax and unwind. The well-known Zeytouna Beach on Zeytouna Island, which leads into the crystal-clear water with a 400 m long jetty, is only approx. 2 km away. The center of El Gouna with numerous shops, bars, and restaurants that invite you to stroll and linger is approx. 1 km away. The center of Hurghada is approx. 30 km away and Hurghada Airport is about 35 km away.

Facilities

The Steigenberger Golf Resort was extensively renovated in the spring of 2023 and has been shining in new splendor ever since. The exclusive hotel consists of a main building and several annexes. The spacious complex was built in Nubian style and features 268 modern rooms. The house offers its guests an elegant lobby with a reception and seating areas. In the extensive and beautifully designed garden area, there are two main pools as well as a children's pool (one of the two main pools can be heated in winter, children's pool can be heated in winter) with a sun terrace and an inviting pool bar. Sun loungers, parasols, and bath towels are available to guests at the pool and the lagoon beach free of charge. Three restaurants and six bars fulfill your culinary wishes. These include the buffet restaurant "Fairways Restaurant" with changing themed buffets and a variety of international specialties, "La Rotisserie" with international dishes, and the "Harumaki Restaurant" with Japanese cuisine (reservation required). Further facilities of the resort include an 18-hole golf course popular with golfers, as well as a spa, wellness, and fitness area.

The Deluxe double rooms (DD2) are about 54 m² and feature a bathroom with shower/WC, hairdryer, air conditioning, telephone, free Wi-Fi, Smart TV, minibar (for a fee), coffee/tea maker, safe, and balcony or terrace with garden view.
Also bookable for single occupancy (DD1).

Premium Double Room Lagoon or Pool View

The rooms (PPD) are 54 m² and modernly furnished. They feature a bathroom with shower/WC, hairdryer, air conditioning, telephone, free Wi-Fi, Smart TV, minibar (for a fee), coffee/tea maker, safe, and balcony or terrace with lagoon, pool, or golf course view.
Also bookable for single occupancy (1PP).

The Junior suites (JS2) have the same features as the double rooms but are more spacious (72 m²) and additionally have an integrated living area with a table, two chairs, and two sofa beds and have garden, lagoon, golf course, or pool view.

Dine Around El Gouna

The Dine-Around program allows guests with half board, full board, or All-Inclusive to enjoy a special culinary experience in numerous different Dine-Around offerings. Guests can dine in participating restaurants of other hotels – completely without extra costs for the food (drinks excluded).
Depending on the length of stay, guests can use the Dine-Around offer several times: 1x from four nights, up to 3x for five to seven nights, and up to 4x for eight or more nights. Guests of 5-star hotels have access to all participating restaurants. Guests from a 3 or 4-star hotel can dine in houses of the same category – an upgrade to a 5-star restaurant is possible for a small fee.

18-hole championship golf course with driving range located in the hotel complex. Green fees can be booked on-site, seasonally dependent.
