Travel information

Combined package of a Nile cruise on the MS Lady Carol and a beach holiday including all intermediate transfers. Accommodation at the hotel will always be in the cheapest available room category. Boarding is always on Saturdays. The trip must be started at least one day in advance, as an overnight stay is mandatory. The earliest possible boarding will always be taken.

Notice

The selected travel offer has a duration of 14 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always for seven days according to the program. The pre- and post-stay at the hotel depends on your arrival day and boarding day. All transfers between airport, hotel, and harbor are included.

Day 1:
Arrival and embarkation. In the afternoon, visit to the Luxor Museum (3). Dinner and overnight on board in Luxor.
Day 2:
Visit to the East Bank in Luxor. At 5 AM, optional balloon excursion (can be booked on site).
Breakfast, visit to the East Bank, Karnak Temple, and Luxor Temple (1,2,3).
Lunch on board.
Dinner and overnight on board in Luxor.
Day 3:
Visit to the West Bank. In the morning after breakfast, excursion to Thebes West to the Temple of Hatshepsut (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Late evening sailing to Esna. Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 4:
Continue sailing from Esna.
Then proceed to Aswan, where you will spend the night.
Lunch and dinner, and overnight on board.
Day 5:
In the morning after breakfast, visit to the Aswan High Dam and the Old Dam in Aswan (1,2,3).
Then visit the Temple of Philae by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
In the afternoon, felucca ride on the Nile (1,2,3).
Then opportunity for a visit to a Nubian village with desert on one side and the Nile on the other (3).
Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 6:
You have the opportunity to explore Abu Simbel (2,3). Sail to Kom Ombo with a visit to the double temple (1,2,3). Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 7:
Continue sailing to Esna and visit the Temple of Edfu (1,2,3). Overnight on board.
Day 8:
Arrival in Luxor. Departure.

Facilities

The ship has a friendly reception and a total of 72 beautiful outside cabins spread across several decks. The main restaurant offers delicious meals. The range is complemented by a cozy lounge bar. A small bazaar invites you to stroll and browse. On the spacious sun deck, there is a large pool and a bar. Beach towels are included on board.

The tastefully furnished cabins (K2) are approx. 19 m² in size and have a bathroom with bath/WC, hairdryer, telephone, satellite TV, video system, air conditioning, minibar, and safe.
Cabins are also available for single occupancy (K1 or KA1).

Saver Cabins

The saver cabins (EK2) are equipped like the standard cabins but are located on the lower decks and have a small porthole window.

Single Occupancy Cabin

With the same amenities as the cabins, but slightly smaller (approx. 13 m²) and with only one bed (K1B). The window cannot be opened.

The exclusive Steigenberger Golf Resort is located on a peninsula, surrounded by a dreamlike lagoon with the hotel's own lagoon beach and a spacious 18-hole golf course. The turquoise lagoon landscape invites you to relax and unwind. The well-known Zeytouna Beach on Zeytouna Island, with a 400 m long bathing jetty leading into the crystal-clear water, is only about 2 km away. The center of El Gouna with numerous shops, bars, and restaurants, which invite you to stroll and linger, is about 1 km away. Hurghada center is about 30 km away and Hurghada Airport is about 35 km away.

Facilities

The Steigenberger Golf Resort was extensively renovated in spring 2023 and has shone in new splendor ever since. The exclusive hotel consists of a main building and several annexes. The spacious complex was built in Nubian style and has 268 modern rooms. The hotel offers its guests an elegant lobby with a reception and seating areas. In the sprawling and beautifully landscaped gardens, there are two main pools and a children's pool (one of the main pools is heated in winter, children's pool is heated in winter) with a sun terrace and an inviting pool bar. Sunbeds, umbrellas, and beach towels are available to guests free of charge by the pool and on the lagoon beach. Three restaurants and six bars cater to your culinary wishes. These include the buffet restaurant "Fairways Restaurant" with changing theme buffets and a variety of international specialties, "La Rotisserie" with international dishes, and the "Harumaki Restaurant" with Japanese cuisine (reservations required). Further facilities of the resort include an 18-hole golf course popular with golfers, as well as a spa, wellness, and fitness area.

The Deluxe Double Rooms (DD2) are approximately 54 m² and feature a bathroom with shower/WC, hairdryer, air conditioning, telephone, free Wi-Fi, Smart TV, minibar (for a fee), coffee/tea maker, safe, and a balcony or terrace with garden view.
Also available for single occupancy (DD1).

Double Room Premium Lagoon or Pool View

The rooms (PPD) are 54 m² and modernly furnished. They have a bathroom with shower/WC, hairdryer, air conditioning, telephone, free Wi-Fi, Smart TV, minibar (for a fee), coffee/tea maker, safe, and a balcony or terrace with lagoon, pool, or golf course view.
Also available for single occupancy (1PP).

Junior Suite

The Junior Suites (JS2) have the same amenities as the double rooms, but are more spacious (72 m²) and also feature an integrated living area with a table, two chairs, and two sofa beds, and have garden, lagoon, golf course, or pool view.

Breakfast from 6:30 AM to 10:30 AM in buffet form at the main restaurant "Fairways". Tea, coffee, orange juice, and juices from the juice station are included with breakfast.

Half Board

Breakfast from 6:30 AM to 10:30 AM and dinner from 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM in buffet form at the main restaurant "Fairways".
Tea, coffee, orange juice, and juices from the juice station are included with breakfast. Drinks are not included with dinner.
Alternatively, dinner can be taken in one of the à la carte restaurants (reservations required, for a fee).

Dine Around El Gouna

The Dine-Around program offers guests with half board, full board, or all-inclusive a special culinary experience in numerous different Dine-Around offers. Guests can dine in participating restaurants of other hotels - without any additional cost for the food (drinks excluded).
Depending on the length of stay, guests can use the Dine-Around offer multiple times: 1x for stays of four nights or more, up to 3x for five to seven nights, and up to 4x for eight nights or more. Guests of 5-star hotels have access to all participating restaurants. Guests from a 3 or 4-star hotel can dine in hotels of the same category – an upgrade to a 5-star restaurant is possible for a small fee.
