Travel information

Combination product consisting of a Nile cruise on the MS Lady Carol and a beach holiday including all connecting transfers. Accommodation at the hotel is always provided in the most reasonably priced available room category. Embarkation always takes place on Saturdays. The trip must be started at least one day in advance, as an overnight stay prior to embarkation is mandatory. The next possible embarkation will always be selected.

Notice

The travel offer you have selected has a duration of 14 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always for seven days according to the program. The pre- and post-stay at the hotel depends on your day of arrival and the day of embarkation. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

The itinerary may shift depending on the embarkation day.
Itinerary:
Day 1:
Arrival and embarkation. In the afternoon, visit the Luxor Museum (3). Dinner and overnight stay on board in Luxor.
Day 2:
Tour of the East Bank in Luxor. At 5 a.m., hot air balloon trip (optional, can be booked on site).
Breakfast, tour of the East Bank, Karnak Temple, and Luxor Temple (1,2,3).
Lunch on board.
Dinner and overnight stay on board in Luxor.
Day 3:
Tour of the West Bank. After breakfast, excursion to Thebes-West to the Temple of Hatshepsut (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Late in the evening, sail to Esna. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 4:
Continue sailing from Esna.
Then continue to Aswan, where you will stay overnight.
Lunch, dinner, and overnight stay on board.
Day 5:
After breakfast, visit the Aswan High Dam and the Old Aswan Dam (1,2,3).
Afterwards, visit the Philae Temple by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon felucca ride on the Nile (1,2,3).
Afterwards, opportunity to visit a Nubian village with the desert on one side and the Nile on the other (3).
Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 6:
You have the opportunity to explore Abu Simbel (2,3). Sail to Kom Ombo and visit the Double Temple (1,2,3). Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 7:
Continue to Esna and visit the Temple of Edfu (1,2,3). Overnight stay on board.

Arrival in Luxor. Departure.

The ship features a friendly reception and a total of 72 beautiful exterior cabins spread across several decks. The main restaurant provides delicious meals for your physical well-being. The offerings are complemented by a cozy lounge bar. A small bazaar invites you to stroll and browse. On the spacious sun deck, there is a large pool and a bar. Bath towels are included on board.

The tastefully furnished cabins (K2) are approximately 19 m² and feature a bathroom with bath/WC, hairdryer, telephone, satellite TV, video system, air conditioning, minibar, and safe.

Economy Cabins

The economy cabins (EK2) are equipped like the standard cabins but are located on the lower decks and have a small porthole.

The family-friendly hotel is located directly on a 1,500-meter-long, beautifully landscaped lagoon with its own hotel beach section in El Gouna, north of Hurghada. A shuttle boat transfer (approx. 15 minutes) takes guests to another private island beach on the open sea, the beautiful Zeytouna Beach. A long jetty leads from Zeytouna Beach out into the Red Sea. From there, experience the fascinating underwater world while snorkeling. The center of El Gouna is approx. 350 m away. Hurghada Airport is approx. 25 kilometers away.

Facilities

Built in the Nubian village style, the resort delights with a cozy flair, characterized by towers, domes, and arches, and has 434 comfortably furnished rooms spread across several two-story buildings. The resort features a beautiful and welcoming reception area with seating and Wi-Fi in all public areas of the property. Outside, there are four different swimming pools (fitness pool, sunset pool with two smaller slides, Aqua Splash pool with four different water slides, Dolphin pool), three of which can be heated in winter. Four children's pools are also available for younger guests, three of which can be heated in winter. One of these pools features small slides and water features. Sun loungers, bath towels, and umbrellas are provided free of charge at the pools and at the hotel's own beach. A main restaurant, four different specialty restaurants, and various bars take care of your culinary needs.

Comfort Double Room (DK2)

The tastefully furnished rooms (approx. 21 m²) have been completely renovated and feature a bathroom with shower/WC, minibar (for a fee), air conditioning, telephone, hairdryer, kettle, coffee/tea making facilities, safe, satellite TV, Wi-Fi, and a balcony or terrace with pool view and garden view. Also bookable for single use (DK1).

Premium Room (PR2)

With the same amenities as the double rooms, but more spacious (approx. 28 m²), these rooms have a pool/garden or lagoon view. Also bookable for single use (PR1).

Family Room (DF2)

The cozy family rooms have the same features as the double rooms but are more spacious (approx. 37 m²).

Superior Double Room

The newly bookable Superior rooms (DSU, 28 m²) are renovated and offer a choice of different views, depending on the location of the room in the hotel – either with a view of the garden or the refreshing pool. The rooms are equipped with two different bed types: a spacious king-size bed or two single beds, depending on preference. The rooms feature free Wi-Fi, air conditioning, a kettle, as well as tea and coffee making facilities.

The rooms (DSB) are more spacious (approx. 35 m²) with similar features to the Superior Double Rooms. The rooms are renovated and newly bookable.

The "Sunny Restaurant" offers breakfast (07:00–10:00), lunch (12:00–14:30), and dinner (18:30–21:00) buffet-style. In addition, the restaurant offers teatime with various snacks from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. Various specialty restaurants are also available: "Greenhouse" with vegan and vegetarian dishes in the morning (7:30–11:00 buffet), lunch (11:00–15:00 à la carte for a fee), and evening (18:00–21:00 à la carte for a fee with prior reservation). "Lagoon Lunch" at noon (12:00–15:00 à la carte). "Dolce Vita" with Italian dishes (18:30–21:00 à la carte) as well as "Chez Pascal" with a selection of different specialties (18:30–21:00 à la carte for a fee on Fridays). Dine Around El Gouna

The Dine-Around program allows guests with half-board, full-board, or all-inclusive a special culinary experience. Guests can dine in participating restaurants at other hotels – completely without additional costs for the food (drinks excluded).
Depending on the length of stay, guests can use the Dine-Around offer multiple times: 1x from four nights, up to 3x for five to seven nights, and up to 4x for eight or more nights. Guests of 5-star hotels have access to all participating restaurants. Guests from 3 or 4-star hotels can dine in establishments of the same category – an upgrade to a 5-star restaurant is possible for a small fee.
