Travel information

Combined product consisting of a Nile cruise on the MS Lady Carol and a beach holiday including all intermediate transfers. Accommodation at the hotel will always be in the cheapest available room category. Boarding always takes place on Saturdays. The trip must be started at least one day in advance, as an overnight stay prior to boarding is mandatory. The earliest possible boarding will always be taken.

Notice

The travel package you have selected has a duration of 14 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship always takes place for seven days according to the program. The pre- and post-cruise stay at the hotel depends on your arrival day and the boarding day. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

Arrival and embarkation. In the afternoon, visit to the Luxor Museum (3). Dinner and overnight stay on board in Luxor.
Day 2:
Visit to the East Bank in Luxor. At 5 AM, optional balloon excursion (can be booked locally).
Breakfast, visit to the East Bank, Karnak Temple, and Luxor Temple (1,2,3).
Lunch on board.
Dinner and overnight stay on board in Luxor.
Day 3:
Visit to the West Bank. In the morning after breakfast, excursion to Thebes West to Hatshepsut's Temple (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Late evening sailing to Esna. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 4:
Continue sailing from Esna.
Then continue to Aswan, where you will also stay overnight.
Lunch and dinner, and overnight stay on board.
Day 5:
In the morning after breakfast, visit to the Aswan High Dam and the Old Dam in Aswan (1,2,3).
Then visit the Philae Temple by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
In the afternoon, felucca ride on the Nile (1,2,3).
Then the opportunity to visit a Nubian village with the desert on one side and the Nile on the other (3).
Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 6:
You have the opportunity to explore Abu Simbel (2,3). Sail to Kom Ombo with a visit to the Double Temple (1,2,3). Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 7:
Continue sailing to Esna and visit the Edfu Temple (1,2,3). Overnight stay on board.

The tastefully furnished cabins (K2) are approx. 19 sqm and feature a bathroom with bath/WC, hairdryer, telephone, satellite TV, video system, air conditioning, minibar, and safe.
Cabins are also available for single occupancy (K1 or KA1).

Economy Cabins

The economy cabins (EK2) are equipped like the standard cabins, but are located on the lower decks and have a small porthole window.

Single Occupancy Cabin

With the same amenities as the cabins, but slightly smaller (approx. 13 sqm) and with only one bed (K1B). The window cannot be opened.

The family-friendly hotel is located directly on a beautifully landscaped 1,500-meter lagoon with its own beach section in El Gouna, north of Hurghada. A shuttle boat transfer (approx. 15 minutes by boat) takes guests to another private island beach on the open sea, the beautiful Zeytouna Beach. From Zeytouna Beach, a long jetty leads out into the Red Sea. From there, you can experience the fascinating underwater world while snorkeling. The center of El Gouna is approx. 350 m away. Hurghada Airport is approx. 25 kilometers away.

Facilities

The complex, built in Nubian village style, impresses with its cozy atmosphere, characterized by towers, domes, and arches, and offers 434 comfortably furnished rooms spread across several two-story buildings. The resort features a beautiful and inviting reception area with seating and Wi-Fi in all public areas of the complex. The outdoor area includes four different swimming pools (fitness pool, sunset pool with two small slides, aqua splash pool with four different water slides, dolphin pool), three of which are heated in winter. Four children's pools are also available for the younger guests, three of which are heated in winter. One of these pools features small slides and water features. Sun loungers, beach towels, and umbrellas are provided free of charge at the pools and the hotel's own beach. For culinary delights, there is a main restaurant and four different specialty restaurants, as well as various bars.

Double Room Comfort (DK2)

The tastefully furnished rooms (approx. 21 sqm) have been fully renovated and feature a bathroom with shower/WC, minibar (for a fee), air conditioning, telephone, hairdryer, kettle, and coffee/tea making facilities, safe, satellite TV, Wi-Fi, and a balcony or terrace with pool and garden view. Also available for single occupancy (DK1).

Premium Room (PR2)

With the same amenities as the double rooms, but more spacious (approx. 28 sqm), these rooms offer pool/garden or lagoon views. Also available for single occupancy (PR1).

The cozy family rooms have the same amenities as the double rooms, but are more spacious (approx. 37 sqm).

Superior Double Room

The newly bookable Superior rooms (DSU, 28 sqm) are renovated and offer a choice of different views depending on the room's location in the hotel – either overlooking the garden or the refreshing pool. The rooms are equipped with two different types of beds: a spacious king-size bed or two single beds, as desired. The rooms have free Wi-Fi, air conditioning, a kettle, and tea and coffee making facilities.

The main restaurant "Sunny Restaurant" offers breakfast (7:00-10:00 AM), lunch (12:00-2:30 PM), and dinner (6:30-9:00 PM) buffet style. Additionally, the restaurant offers a tea time with various snacks from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM. There are also several specialty restaurants: "Greenhouse" with vegan and vegetarian dishes in the morning (7:30-11:00 AM buffet style), lunch (11:00 AM-3:00 PM à la carte for a fee) and in the evening (6:00 PM-9:00 PM à la carte for a fee with prior reservation). "Lagoon Lunch" at lunchtime (12:00 PM-3:00 PM à la carte). "Dolce Vita" with Italian dishes (6:30 PM-9:00 PM à la carte) and "Chez Pascal" with a selection of various specialties (6:30 PM-9:00 PM à la carte for a fee on Fridays). Dine Around El Gouna

The Dine-Around program offers guests with half board, full board, or all-inclusive a special culinary experience. Guests can dine in participating restaurants of other hotels – without any additional cost for the food (drinks excluded).
Depending on the length of stay, guests can use the Dine-Around offer multiple times: 1x for stays of four nights or more, up to 3x for five to seven nights, and up to 4x for eight nights or more. Guests from 5-star hotels have access to all participating restaurants.
