Travel information

Combination package of a Nile cruise on MS Nile Excellence and a beach holiday, including all intermediate transfers. Accommodation in the hotel will always be in the cheapest available room category. Embarkation is always on Thursdays. The trip must be started at least one day in advance, as an overnight stay is mandatory. The next possible embarkation will always be taken.

Notice

The travel offer you have selected has a duration of 14 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship always takes seven days according to the program. The pre- and post-cruise stay in the hotel depends on your arrival day and embarkation day. All transfers between airport, hotel, and port are included.

Route

When booking the MS Nile Excellence, the following excursions are automatically included: Valley of the Kings, Kom Ombo Temple, and a visit to the High Dam in Aswan.

Route:
Day 1:
Arrival and embarkation. Visit to the Luxor Museum in the afternoon (3). Dinner and overnight stay on board in Luxor.
Day 2:
A hot air balloon ride is possible at 5 am (optional, bookable on site).
In the morning, after breakfast, excursion to Thebes-West to the Temple of Hatshepsut (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Sailing to Edfu in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 3:
Continue sailing to Kom Ombo in the morning.
Lunch on board and visit to the Double Temple (1,2,3).
Continue sailing to Aswan, dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 4:
In the morning after breakfast, visit to the Aswan High Dam (1,2,3).
Then visit to the Temple of Philae by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
In the afternoon, felucca ride on the Nile (1,2,3).
Then visit to a Nubian village (3).
Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 5:
Early in the morning at 3:30 am, opportunity for an excursion to Abu Simbel by bus (2,3), breakfast pack included.
Then it's back to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board. Overnight stay and dinner on board.
Day 6:
Breakfast on board. Afterwards, the ship sails on to Esna. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 7:
Breakfast. Afterwards, you have the opportunity to visit the Temple of Edfu (1,2,3).
Then the ship sails on to Luxor.
Upon arrival, you have the opportunity to visit the East Bank with the Luxor Temple (1,2,3) and the Karnak Temple (1,2,3). There is an opportunity for a sound and light show at Karnak Temple (optional, can be booked on site).
Day 8:
Departure.

Facilities

The MS Nile Excellence has a total of 30 modernly furnished outside cabins spread across several decks. The reception area is bright and elegantly designed with a reception desk. Enjoy culinary delights in the main restaurant and savor refreshing drinks from the three bars on board. A small bazaar and a cozy reading corner are also available. From winter 2024/25, the ship will feature a small fitness studio, freely accessible to all guests on board. To make your vacation perfect, you can relax on loungers on the sun deck or cool off in the pool while enjoying the fantastic view of the landscape along the Nile.

Suite

The pleasantly furnished suites (S2) are approx. 24 sqm and feature a shower/WC, hairdryer, two single beds or a double bed, air conditioning (individually adjustable), minibar, safe, TV, telephone (for a fee), seating area, and a French balcony.
Also bookable for single occupancy (1SA).

Royal Suite

The Royal Suites (RS) have the same amenities as the suites but are larger (approx. 37 sqm). The Royal Suites are located on the middle and upper decks.
In the Royal Suites, the balcony also includes a small table and two chairs.

Single Suite

The single suites (S1) are approx. 13 sqm and otherwise equipped like the suites, but with only a single bed without a seating area.

Economy Suite

The economy suites (S2Z) are slightly smaller (approx. 21 sqm) with otherwise the same amenities as the suites, and may not have a French balcony and seating area, but rather a non-opening window.

Breakfast, lunch, and dinner as a buffet or set menu.
Breakfast includes soft and hot drinks. Lunch and dinner include two soft drinks and a small bottle of water per person.

Cook's Club El Gouna

Location

The beautiful adults-only hotel is located in the heart of El Gouna, directly on a picturesque saltwater lagoon with a small private beach. The small town center "Downtown" with its colorful arcades, restaurants, bars, cafes, and shops is just a few minutes' walk away (also reachable by a hand-operated ferry). Various shopping facilities are also located in the vicinity. Guests have free access to the 700m distant, beautiful sandy beach "Zeytouna Beach" on "Zeytouna Island". A approximately 400m long bathing jetty, the "Zeytouna Pier", leads from the beach over the reef into deeper waters. Explore the breathtaking coral reef while snorkeling. The complex is located about 25 km north of Hurghada. Hurghada Airport is about 40 km away.

Facilities

The modern and charismatic lifestyle hotel (bookable for ages 16 and up) impresses with its special style and consists of a three-story main building and several annexes, housing a total of 144 elegantly furnished rooms. The hotel offers its guests a small lobby with a reception. The stylish restaurant "La Cantina," including an outdoor terrace overlooking the lagoon, features a live cooking station and serves delicious specialties. In the tastefully designed garden complex, there is an outdoor platform with wooden fitness equipment, a swimming pool (heated in winter) with a pool bar, and a sun terrace. Dine Around El Gouna
