Travel information

Combination package consisting of a Nile cruise on the MS Nile Excellence and a beach holiday including all connecting transfers. Accommodation in the hotel is always provided in the cheapest available room category. Embarkation always takes place on Thursdays. The journey must be started at least one day in advance, as an overnight stay before is mandatory. The earliest possible embarkation will always be taken.

Notice

The travel offer you have chosen has a duration of 14 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always for seven days according to the program. The preliminary and subsequent stay at the hotel depends on your arrival day and the embarkation day. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

When booking the MS Nile Excellence, the following excursions are automatically included: Valley of the Kings, Kom Ombo Temple, and a visit to the High Dam in Aswan.

Day 1:
Arrival and embarkation. Afternoon visit to the Luxor Museum (3). Dinner and overnight stay on board in Luxor.
Day 2:
At 5 a.m., a hot air balloon ride is possible (optional, bookable locally).
In the morning, after breakfast, excursion to Thebes-West to the Hatshepsut Temple (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon trip to Edfu. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 3:
In the morning, continue to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board and visit to the double temple (1,2,3).
Continue to Aswan, dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 4:
In the morning after breakfast, visit the Aswan High Dam (1,2,3).
Then visit the Philae Temple by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon felucca ride on the Nile (1,2,3).
Then visit to a Nubian village (3).

Day 5:
Early in the morning at 3:30 a.m., opportunity for an excursion to Abu Simbel by bus (2,3), breakfast box is included.
Then proceed to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board. Overnight stay and dinner on board.
Day 6:
Breakfast on board. Then the ship continues to Esna. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 7:
Breakfast. Afterwards, you have the opportunity to visit the Edfu Temple (1,2,3).
Then the ship continues to Luxor.
Once there, you have the opportunity to visit the East Bank with the Luxor Temple (1,2,3) and the Karnak Temple (1,2,3). There is an opportunity for a Sound and Light Show at the Karnak Temple (optional, can be booked locally).

Facilities

The MS Nile Excellence features a total of 30 modernly furnished outside cabins, which are distributed over several decks. The reception area is brightly and elegantly designed and has a reception desk. Let yourself be spoiled with culinary delights in the main restaurant and enjoy the cool drinks served by the three bars on board. Furthermore, a small bazaar and a cozy reading corner are available. From winter 2024/25, the ship will have a small fitness studio that is freely accessible to all guests on board. To make your holiday perfect, you can relax on the loungers on the sun deck or cool off in the pool and enjoy the fantastic view of the landscape along the Nile.

Suite

The friendly furnished suites (S2) are approx. 24 m² and have a shower/WC, hairdryer, two single beds or one double bed, air conditioning (individually adjustable), minibar, safe, TV, telephone (for a fee), seating area, and a French balcony.
Also bookable for single use (1SA).

Royal Suite

The Royal Suites (RS) have the same features as the suites but are larger (approx. 37 m²). The Royal Suites are located on the middle deck and upper deck.
In the Royal Suites, there is also a small table and two chairs on the balcony.

Single Suites

The single suites (S1) are approx. 13 m² and otherwise equipped the same as the suites, but with only one single bed without a seating area.

Economy Suite

The economy suites (S2Z) are slightly smaller (approx. 21 m²) with otherwise the same equipment as the suites and possibly without a French balcony and without a seating area, but with a non-opening window.

The newly built hotel delights with its particularly luxurious atmosphere and is located in the beautiful bay of Abu Soma, directly on the 300 m long private beach. The beach impresses with its white sand and the beautiful view over the crystal-clear water of the bay. The next town, Safaga, can be reached after approx. 20 km and offers some shopping facilities, restaurants, and bars. It is approx. 55 km to Hurghada downtown. Hurghada Airport is approx. 50 km away.

Facilities

The stylish and luxurious resort has 409 generously furnished rooms. The elegant reception hall is equipped with a reception desk and promises an unforgettable holiday the moment you arrive. The buffet restaurant pampers you with international delicacies. The schauinsland-original rooms are modernly furnished (DSP, approx. 50m²) and feature a king-size bed or two single beds, a large bathroom with rain shower/WC, hairdryer, satellite TV, telephone (for a fee), cosmetic mirror, bathrobe and slippers, air conditioning, coffee/tea maker (daily free refilling), minibar (water is refilled daily. The newly bookable schauinsland-reisen original rooms (MSA) are equipped like the Superior double rooms and feature a sea view. The rooms offer a front sea view and are guaranteed to be located on the top floor of the hotel.

Double room Superior Grand side sea view

The Superior rooms type B (DSB) are approx. 50 m² and feature a queen-size bed and a seating area that can be converted into a bed. The rooms are equipped with a bathroom, air conditioning, safe, minibar (water is refilled daily. Everything else for a fee), and a hairdryer. This room type offers space for 2 adults and 1 child. The rooms are located on the first and second floors and have a side sea view.

Family room Deluxe pool and sea view

The Family rooms Deluxe (F2D) are approx. 60 m² and feature either a king-size bed or two single beds. These rooms are larger and feature two rooms, a master bedroom, and a seating area that can be converted into beds, with bathrooms with a rain shower as well as a separate WC and hairdryer, cosmetic mirror, bathrobes, and slippers. In addition, there is a large separate dressing room with large mirrors. A smart TV with cable/satellite channels, two direct-dial telephones, and a safe are also available in the room. Villa 2 bedrooms

The villas (V22) with two bedrooms have a size of approx. 350 m² and are equipped with a queen-size bed and two single beds. They offer air conditioning, an open bathroom with Jacuzzi, as well as an enclosed garden with an outdoor shower (rain shower), hairdryer, bathrobes, slippers, and beach and pool towels.
In addition, the villas feature a separate living and seating area, a dressing room with full-length mirrors, a fully equipped kitchen (including ice machine, refrigerator, stove, and espresso machine), smart TV with cable and satellite reception, minibar, safe, and telephone.
