Travel information

Combined product consisting of a Nile cruise on the MS Nile Excellence and a beach holiday, including all intermediate transfers. Accommodation in the hotel will always be in the cheapest available room category. Boarding is always on Thursdays. The trip must be started at least one day in advance, as an overnight stay is mandatory. Boarding will always be taken on the next possible sailing.

Notice

The travel package you have selected has a duration of 14 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always for seven days according to the program. The preliminary and subsequent stay in the hotel depends on your arrival day and the boarding day. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

When booking the MS Nile Excellence, the following excursions are automatically included: Valley of the Kings, Kom Ombo Temple, and a visit to the High Dam in Aswan.

Day 1:
Arrival and embarkation. In the afternoon, visit the Luxor Museum (3). Dinner and overnight stay on board in Luxor.
Day 2:
A balloon ride is possible at 5 AM (optional, can be booked locally).
In the morning, after breakfast, excursion to West Thebes to the Temple of Hatshepsut (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
In the afternoon, sail to Edfu. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 3:
In the morning, continue sailing to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board and visit to the Double Temple (1,2,3).
Continue sailing to Aswan, dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 4:
In the morning, after breakfast, visit the Aswan High Dam (1,2,3).
Then visit the Temple of Philae by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
In the afternoon, felucca ride on the Nile (1,2,3).
Then visit a Nubian village (3).
Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 5:
Early in the morning at 3:30 AM, opportunity for an excursion to Abu Simbel by bus (2,3), breakfast package included.
Then it's back to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board. Overnight stay and dinner on board.
Day 6:
Breakfast on board. Then the ship sails on to Esna. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 7:
Breakfast. Afterwards, you have the opportunity to visit the Temple of Edfu (1,2,3).
Then the ship sails on to Luxor.
Once there, you have the opportunity to visit the East Bank with the Luxor Temple (1,2,3) and Karnak Temple (1,2,3). There is an opportunity for a sound and light show at Karnak Temple (optional, can be booked locally).

Departure.

Facilities

The MS Nile Excellence has a total of 30 modernly furnished exterior cabins spread across several decks. The reception area is bright and elegantly designed and features a reception desk. Enjoy culinary delights in the main restaurant and savor refreshing drinks from the three bars on board. A small bazaar and a cozy reading corner are also available. From winter 2024/25, the ship will feature a small fitness studio, freely accessible to all guests on board. To make your vacation perfect, you can relax on the sun deck on the loungers or cool off in the pool while enjoying the fantastic views of the landscape along the Nile.

Suite

The cheerfully furnished suites (S2) are approx. 24 sqm and feature a shower/toilet, hairdryer, two single beds or one double bed, air conditioning (individually adjustable), minibar, safe, TV, telephone (for a fee), seating area, and French balcony.
Also available for single occupancy (1SA).

Royal Suite

The Royal Suites (RS) have the same amenities as the suites but are larger (approx. 37 sqm). The Royal Suites are located on the middle and upper decks.
In the Royal Suites, the balcony also includes a small table and two chairs.

Single Suite

The Single Suites (S1) are approx. 13 sqm and otherwise have the same amenities as the suites, but with only one single bed and no seating area.

Economy Suite

The Economy Suites (S2Z) are slightly smaller (approx. 21 sqm) than the suites with otherwise identical amenities, and may have a non-opening window instead of a French balcony and seating area.

Location

Several thatched huts with lounge chairs are on a sandy beach under a blue sky.
The newly built hotel impresses with its particularly luxurious atmosphere and is located in the beautiful bay of Abu Soma, directly on a 300m long private beach. The beach boasts white sand and a beautiful view of the crystal-clear water of the bay. The nearest town, Safaga, is about 20 km away and offers some shopping facilities, restaurants, and bars. Hurghada Downtown is about 55 km away. Hurghada Airport is approx. 50 km away.

Facilities

The stylish and luxurious resort has 409 generously furnished rooms. The elegant lobby is equipped with a reception and promises an unforgettable holiday from the moment you enter. The buffet restaurant spoils you with international delicacies. For culinary variety, "Dine Around" offers four à la carte restaurants where you can enjoy Asian, Oriental, and Italian specialties, as well as Mediterranean cuisine (reservations required). The schauinsland-original rooms are modernly furnished (DSP, approx. 50sqm) and feature a king-size bed or two single beds, a large bathroom with rain shower/toilet, hairdryer, satellite TV, telephone (for a fee), cosmetic mirror, bathrobe and slippers, air conditioning, coffee/tea making facilities (daily free refilling), minibar (water is refilled daily. All other items for a fee), safe (included), balcony or terrace.
When booking this room, guests will also receive the following amenities:

Double Room Superior Front Sea View top floor

The newly bookable schauinsland-reisen-Original rooms (MSA) are furnished like the Double Rooms Superior and offer sea views. These rooms offer frontal sea views and are guaranteed to be on the top floor of the hotel.
Also available for single occupancy (MSE).

Double Room Superior Grand partial sea view

Superior Rooms Type B (DSB) are approx. 50 sqm and have a queen-size bed and a seating area that can be converted into a bed. The rooms are equipped with a bathroom, air conditioning, safe, minibar (water is refilled daily. All other items for a fee), and a hairdryer. This room type accommodates 2 adults and 1 child. The rooms are located on the first and second floors and have a partial sea view.
Also available for single occupancy (E1S) or with pool and sea view (GD2/G1D).

Family Room Deluxe Pool and Sea View

Family Rooms Deluxe (F2D) are approx. 60 sqm and have either a king-size bed or two single beds. These rooms are larger and have two rooms, a main bedroom and a seating area that can be converted into beds, with bathrooms featuring a rain shower and separate toilet and hairdryer, cosmetic mirror, bathrobes, and slippers. Additionally, there is a large separate dressing room with full-length mirrors. A smart TV with cable/satellite channels, two direct-dial telephones, and a safe are also in the room. Villa 2 Bedrooms

The villas (V22) with two bedrooms have a size of approx. 350 sqm and are equipped with a queen-size bed and two single beds. They feature air conditioning, an open-plan bathroom with jacuzzi, and a private garden with an outdoor shower (rain shower), hairdryer, bathrobes, slippers, and beach and pool towels.
Additionally, the villas have a separate living and seating area, a dressing room with full-length mirrors, a fully equipped kitchen (including ice maker, refrigerator, stove, and espresso machine), Smart TV with cable and satellite reception, minibar, safe, and telephone.
