Itinerary

When booking the MS Nile Excellence, the following excursions are automatically included: Valley of the Kings, Kom Ombo Temple and the High Dam visit in Aswan.
The excursion packages listed below can of course still be booked.

Depending on the embarkation day, the route may vary.
Itinerary:
Day 1:
Arrival and embarkation. Visit to the Luxor Museum (3) in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight on board in Luxor.
Day 2:
A hot air balloon ride is possible at 5 am (optional, can be booked locally).
In the morning, after breakfast, excursion to Thebes West to the Temple of Hatshepsut (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
In the afternoon, sailing to Edfu. Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 3:
Continue sailing to Kom Ombo in the morning.
Lunch on board and visit to the Kom Ombo Temple (1,2,3).
Continue sailing to Aswan, dinner and overnight on board.
Day 4:
In the morning, after breakfast, visit to the Aswan High Dam (1,2,3).
Then visit the Temple of Philae by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
In the afternoon, felucca sailing on the Nile (1,2,3).
Then visit a Nubian village (3).
Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 5:
In the early morning at 3:30 am, opportunity for an excursion to Abu Simbel by bus (2,3), breakfast package included.
Then it's back to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board. Overnight and dinner on board.
Day 6:
Breakfast on board. The ship then continues to Esna. Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 7:
Breakfast. Then you have the opportunity to visit the Temple of Edfu (1,2,3).
Then the ship continues to Luxor.
Upon arrival, you have the opportunity to visit the East Bank with the Luxor Temple (1,2,3) and the Karnak Temple (1,2,3). There is an opportunity for a sound and light show at Karnak Temple (optional, can be booked on site).
Day 8:
Departure.

Facilities

The MS Nile Excellence has a total of 30 modernly furnished outside cabins spread across several decks. The reception area is bright and elegantly designed and has a reception desk. Enjoy culinary delights in the main restaurant and savor cool drinks from the three onboard bars. A small bazaar and a cozy reading corner are also available. Starting in Winter 2024/25, the ship will feature a small fitness studio, freely accessible to all guests onboard. To make your vacation perfect, relax on the sun deck loungers or cool off in the pool while enjoying the fantastic view of the Nile landscape.

Suite

The brightly furnished Suites (S2) are approx. 24 m² in size and feature a shower/WC, hairdryer, two single beds or one double bed, air conditioning (individually adjustable), minibar, safe, TV, telephone (for a fee), seating area, and French balcony.
Also available for single occupancy (1SA).

Royal Suite

The Royal Suites (RS) have the same amenities as the Suites but are larger (approx. 37 m²). The Royal Suites are located on the middle and upper decks.
In the Royal Suites, the balcony also includes a small table and two chairs.

Single Suites

The Single Suites (S1) are approx. 13 m² in size and otherwise equipped like the Suites, but with only a single bed and no seating area.

Budget Suite

The Budget Suites (S2Z) are slightly smaller (approx. 21 m²) than the standard Suites, with otherwise the same amenities, but possibly without a French balcony and seating area, and with a non-opening window.

Meals

Breakfast includes soft drinks and hot beverages. Lunch and dinner include two soft drinks and a small bottle of water per person.

Location

The newly built hotel impresses with its particularly luxurious atmosphere and is located in the beautiful Abu Soma Bay, directly on the 300-meter long private beach. The beach boasts white sand and a wonderful view of the crystal-clear bay waters. The nearest town, Safaga, is about 20 km away and offers some shopping opportunities, restaurants, and bars. Hurghada Downtown is about 55 km away. Hurghada Airport is approximately 50 km away.

The newly bookable schauinsland-reisen original rooms (MSA) are equipped like the Superior Double Rooms and have a sea view. The rooms offer frontal sea views and are guaranteed to be on the top floor of the hotel.

Double Room Superior Grand Side Sea View

The Superior Rooms Type B (DSB) are approx. 50 m² and have a queen-size bed and a seating area that can be converted into a bed. The rooms are equipped with a bathroom, air conditioning, safe, minibar (water is refilled daily, others for a fee) and a hairdryer. This room type can accommodate 2 adults and 1 child. The rooms are located on the first and second floors and have a side sea view.

Family Room Deluxe Pool and Sea View

The Family Deluxe Rooms (F2D) are approx. 60 m² and have either a king-size bed or two single beds. These rooms are larger and feature two rooms, a master bedroom and a seating area that can be converted into beds, with bathrooms with a rain shower and separate WC and hairdryer, cosmetic mirror, bathrobes and slippers. In addition, there is a large separate dressing room with large mirrors. A smart TV with cable/satellite TV channels, two direct-dial telephones, and a safe are also in the room. Executive Suite Private Swim Up Pool

The Executive Suites (X2S) have the same amenities as the Superior Side Sea View rooms, but are larger (approx. 57 m²), have a bathtub and shower in the bathroom, and feature a private swim-up pool. Royal Suite Private Pool
