Travel information

Combination product consisting of a Nile cruise on the MS Nile Excellence and a beach holiday, including all intermediate transfers. Accommodation at the hotel is always provided in the most affordable available room category. Embarkation always takes place on Thursdays. The trip must be started at least one day in advance, as an overnight stay beforehand is mandatory. The earliest possible embarkation is always selected.

Notice

The travel package you have selected has a duration of 14 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always for seven days according to the program. The preliminary and subsequent stay at the hotel depends on your arrival day and the embarkation day. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

When booking the MS Nile Excellence, the following excursions are automatically included: Valley of the Kings, Kom Ombo Temple, and a visit to the High Dam in Aswan.

Day 1:
Arrival and embarkation. Afternoon visit to the Luxor Museum (3). Dinner and overnight stay on board in Luxor.
Day 2:
A balloon ride is possible at 5 a.m. (optional, bookable on-site).
In the morning, after breakfast, excursion to Thebes-West to the Hatshepsut Temple (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon trip to Edfu. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 3:
Morning cruise to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board and visit to the Double Temple (1,2,3).
Continue to Aswan, dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 4:
Morning after breakfast visit to the Aswan High Dam (1,2,3).
Afterwards, visit to the Philae Temple by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon Felucca ride on the Nile (1,2,3).
Afterwards visit to a Nubian village (3).
Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 5:
Early morning at 3:30 a.m., opportunity for an excursion to Abu Simbel by bus (2,3), breakfast box is included.
Then returning to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board. Overnight stay and dinner on board.
Day 6:
Breakfast on board. Then the ship continues to Esna. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 7:
Breakfast. Afterwards you have the opportunity to visit the Edfu Temple (1,2,3).
Then the ship continues to Luxor.
Once there, you have the opportunity to visit the East Bank with the Luxor Temple (1,2,3) and the Karnak Temple (1,2,3). There is an opportunity for a Sound and Light show at Karnak Temple (optional, can be booked on-site).

Facilities

The MS Nile Excellence features a total of 30 modernly furnished outside cabins, which are distributed over several decks. The reception area is bright and elegantly designed and features a reception desk. Let yourself be pampered in the main restaurant and enjoy the cool drinks served by the three bars on board. Furthermore, a small bazaar and a cozy reading corner are at your disposal. From winter 2024/25, the ship will have a small fitness studio, which is freely accessible to all guests on board. To make your holiday perfect, you can relax on the loungers on the sun deck or cool off in the pool and enjoy the dreamlike view of the landscape along the Nile.

Suite

The friendly furnished suites (S2) are approx. 24 m² and feature shower/WC, hairdryer, two single beds or one double bed, air conditioning (individually adjustable), minibar, safe, TV, telephone (for a fee), seating area, and a French balcony.
Also bookable for single use (1SA).

Royal Suite

The Royal Suites (RS) have the same features as the suites but are larger (approx. 37 m²). The Royal Suites are located on the middle deck and upper deck.
In the Royal Suites, there is also a small table and two chairs on the balcony.

Single Suites

The single suites (S1) are approx. 13 m² and are otherwise equipped the same as the suites, but with only one single bed and no seating area.

Economy Suite

The economy suites (S2Z) are slightly smaller (approx. 21 m²) with otherwise the same features as the suites, and possibly without a French balcony and without a seating area, but with a non-opening window.

Breakfast includes soft drinks and hot beverages. For lunch and dinner, two soft drinks and a small bottle of water per person are included.

Jacuzzi Suite

The approx. 50 m² (incl. 4 m² balcony/terrace) Jacuzzi Suites (S2J) feature a couple's Jacuzzi, shower, WC, vanity mirror, air conditioning, safe, minibar (daily refill with water, juice, beer, soft drinks), Smart TV with German channels, coffee and tea making machine, as well as a swing chair on the terrace.

Pure Standard Suite Jacuzzi

The approx. 27 m² Pure Standard Suites (SAJ) are slightly smaller, with similar features to the Jacuzzi Suites. Some suites have a small balcony with privacy screen or terrace and are located on the land side.

The Swim Up Suites (2SU) have similar features to the Jacuzzi Suites, plus direct access to the terrace pool (this is heated in winter), and are more spacious with a size of approx. 50 m² (incl. 4 m² terrace).

Penthouse

The Penthouse Suites (P2), located on the upper floors, are equipped like the Jacuzzi Suites, but are more spacious at approx. 107 m² (incl. 16 m² balcony), with a private living room, private pool (heated in winter), and a breathtaking view over the Red Sea.

Super Economy Room

The Super Economy Rooms (SSZ) are approx. 27m² and equipped with shower/WC, espresso machine, TV, Wi-Fi, vanity mirror, safe. The rooms do not have a Jacuzzi, have no balcony, and are located on the land side.
