Travel information

Combination product consisting of a Nile cruise on the MS Nile Excellence and a beach holiday including all inter-transfers. Accommodation at the hotel is always provided in the most affordable available room category. Embarkation always takes place on Thursdays. The trip must be started at least one day in advance, as an overnight stay prior to the cruise is mandatory. The next possible embarkation date will always be selected.

Notice

The travel offer you have chosen has a duration of 14 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always provided for seven days according to the program. The prior and subsequent stay at the hotel depends on your arrival day and the embarkation day. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

Arrival and embarkation. Afternoon visit to the Luxor Museum (3). Dinner and overnight on board in Luxor.

At 5 a.m., a hot air balloon ride is possible (optional, bookable on site).
Morning, after breakfast, excursion to Thebes-West to the Hatshepsut Temple (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon cruise to Edfu. Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 3:
Morning continuation to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board and visit to the Double Temple (1,2,3).
Continuation to Aswan, dinner and overnight on board.

Morning after breakfast, visit to the Aswan High Dam (1,2,3).

Day 7:
Breakfast. Afterwards, you have the opportunity to visit the Edfu Temple (1,2,3).

Amenities

The MS Nile Excellence features a total of 30 modernly furnished outside cabins, spread over several decks. The reception area is bright and elegantly designed and features a front desk. Let yourself be pampered by the culinary delights in the main restaurant and enjoy the cool drinks served by the three bars on board. Furthermore, a small bazaar and a cozy reading corner are available to you. From winter 2024/25, the ship will have a small fitness studio, which is freely accessible to all guests on board. To make your holiday perfect, you can relax on the loungers on the sun deck or cool off in the pool and enjoy the fantastic view of the landscape along the Nile.

Suite

The friendly furnished suites (S2) are approx. 24 m² and feature a shower/WC, hairdryer, two single beds or one double bed, air conditioning (individually adjustable), minibar, safe, TV, telephone (for a fee), seating area, and a French balcony. Also bookable for single use (1SA).

Royal Suite

The Royal Suites (RS) feature the same amenities as the suites, but are larger (approx. 37 m²). The Royal Suites are located on the middle deck and upper deck. In the Royal Suites, there is also a small table and two chairs on the balcony.

Single Suites

The single suites (S1) are approx. 13 m² and otherwise feature the same amenities as the suites, but with only one single bed and no seating area.

Economy Suite

The economy suites (S2Z) are somewhat smaller (approx. 21 m²) with otherwise the same amenities as the suites, and possibly without a French balcony and without a seating area, but with a non-opening window.

Breakfast, lunch, and dinner as a buffet or set menu. Breakfast includes soft drinks and hot drinks. For lunch and dinner, two soft drinks as well as one small bottle of water per person are included.

Enjoy a relaxing holiday and discover Egyptian hospitality at the "Jaz Makadi Saraya Resort". This oriental-style hotel is located in the center of Madinat Makadi, directly next to the lively Makadi Center, the pulsing heart of Makadi Bay with numerous shopping and entertainment options. The sandy coral beach is, depending on the location of the room, about 300 to 700 meters away (bathing shoes are recommended). Hurghada Airport is about 35 kilometers away and is easily accessible.

Amenities

The stylish resort features 325 rooms spread across several buildings. An inviting lobby with a reception welcomes guests. Two buffet restaurants and four à-la-carte restaurants provide culinary delights with Asian, Italian, and Oriental delicacies as well as grill specialties (1 visit in one of the à-la-carte restaurants included). Seven bars offer a wide selection of drinks. The well-kept and spacious gardens feature three freshwater swimming pools, two of which can be heated in winter, as well as two children's pools (one of them with a sun canopy). Superior double room

The superior double rooms (DSU) in oriental style are approx. 35 m², comfortably furnished, and equipped with shower/WC, hairdryer, air conditioning, telephone, satellite TV, minibar (for a fee), safe, and balcony or terrace. These rooms can also be booked with pool view (DSP) or for single use (DEU/ESP).

Superior Deluxe

The Superior Deluxe rooms (SDX) feature the same amenities as the superior double rooms and are designed for an occupancy of 2+1 persons. These rooms are also bookable for single use (SED).

Family room pool view

The spacious family rooms (FP2) are approx. 45 m² and offer the same amenities as the superior double rooms. Additionally, they feature two extra sofa beds in a sleeping area visually separated by a curtain.

Deluxe family room

The deluxe family rooms (2DF) offer the same amenities as the family rooms, with an additional sleeping area separated by a curtain, an extra seating area, and a kitchenette with a microwave. With a size of approx. 55 m², they are also more spacious. These rooms can also be booked with pool view (FPD).

Apartment 2 bedrooms

The apartments with 2 bedrooms (A22) are approx. 100 m² and feature two separate bedrooms, a bathroom with shower and hairdryer, a kitchenette with a microwave, an open living/dining area, a safe, air conditioning, TV, coffee/tea maker, and a balcony or terrace. These apartments are also bookable with pool view (2P2).

All meals are served in buffet style. The opening times of the restaurants can be changed by the management at any time depending on hotel occupancy or season. Early riser breakfast is offered from 5 a.m. to 7 a.m., breakfast from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m., lunch from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., and dinner from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. (in winter from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.). Various snacks are available from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. (in winter from 12 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.), as well as cake, coffee, and tea from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. and ice cream from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Local alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks are available throughout the day.
