Travel information

Combination product consisting of a Nile cruise on the MS Nile Excellence and a beach holiday, including all transfers in between. Accommodation at the hotel is always provided in the most affordable available room category. Embarkation always takes place on Thursdays. The trip must be started at least one day in advance, as an overnight stay beforehand is mandatory. The earliest possible embarkation is always selected.

Notice

The travel package you have selected has a duration of 14 Days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always provided for seven Days according to the program. The preliminary and subsequent stay at the hotel depends on your arrival day and the embarkation day. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

When booking the MS Nile Excellence, the following excursions are automatically included: Valley of the Kings, Kom Ombo Temple, and a visit to the High Dam in Aswan.

1st Day:
Arrival and embarkation. Afternoon visit to the Luxor Museum (3). Dinner and overnight stay on board in Luxor.
2nd Day:
At 5 a.m., a hot air balloon ride is possible (optional, bookable on site).
In the morning, after breakfast, excursion to Thebes-West to the Hatshepsut Temple (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon trip to Edfu. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
3rd Day:
Morning trip to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board and visit to the Double Temple (1,2,3).
Continue to Aswan, dinner and overnight stay on board.
4th Day:
Morning after breakfast, visit to the Aswan High Dam (1,2,3).
Then visit to Philae Temple by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon felucca ride on the Nile (1,2,3).
Then visit to a Nubian village (3).
Dinner and overnight stay on board.
5th Day:
Early in the morning at 3:30 a.m., opportunity for an excursion to Abu Simbel by bus (2,3), breakfast box is included.
Then back to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board. Overnight stay and dinner on board.
6th Day:
Breakfast on board. Then the ship continues to Esna. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
7th Day:
Breakfast. Then you have the opportunity to visit the Edfu Temple (1,2,3).
Then the ship continues to Luxor.
Once there, you have the opportunity to visit the East Bank with the Luxor Temple (1,2,3) and the Karnak Temple (1,2,3). There is an opportunity for a Sound and Light Show at the Karnak Temple (optional, can be booked on site).
8th Day:
Departure.

Facilities

The MS Nile Excellence features a total of 30 modernly furnished exterior cabins, distributed across several decks. The reception area is bright and elegantly designed and has a reception desk. Let yourself be pampered with culinary delights in the main restaurant and enjoy cool drinks served by the three bars on board. Furthermore, a small bazaar and a cozy reading corner are at your disposal. From winter 2024/25, the ship will feature a small gym, which is freely accessible to all guests on board. To make your holiday perfect, you can relax on the sun loungers on the sundeck or cool off in the pool and enjoy the fantastic view of the landscape along the Nile.

Suite

The friendly furnished suites (S2) are approx. 24 m² and feature a shower/WC, hairdryer, two single beds or one double bed, air conditioning (individually adjustable), minibar, safe, TV, telephone (for a fee), seating area, and a French balcony.
Also bookable for single use (1SA).

Royal Suite

The Royal Suites (RS) feature the same amenities as the suites but are larger (approx. 37 m²). The Royal Suites are located on the middle deck and upper deck.
In the Royal Suites, there is also a small table and two chairs on the balcony.

Single Suites

The single suites (S1) are approx. 13 m² and otherwise have the same amenities as the suites, but with only one single bed and no seating area.

Economy Suite

The economy suites (S2Z) are somewhat smaller (approx. 21 m²) with otherwise the same amenities as the suites and possibly without a French balcony and without a seating area, but with a non-opening window.

The "Pickalbatros Aqua Park" hotel, which is very popular with families, is located only about 700m from the hotel's own beach section. You can reach this after a short walk across the grounds of the sister hotel "Beach Albatros" (HRG013) or by free shuttle. The hotel is separated from the "Beach Albatros" only by a road. It is about 10 km to Hurghada airport; you will need about 20 minutes by car to get to Hurghada Downtown.

Facilities

The particularly family-friendly resort features 296 rooms distributed among the main building and four 3-story annex buildings. In addition to two restaurants at the hotel (Mediterranean cuisine, Asian cuisine) and various bars, other restaurants from the sister hotels can be used. Furthermore, the hotel offers a spacious lobby with a lobby bar, reception, and ATM, as well as various shops in front of the hotel and a hairdresser. The outdoor area includes an amphitheater, 5 swimming pools (one of which is heated, one children's pool), an Olympic pool at the sister hotel Pickalbatros Aqua Vista (for a fee), and the Aqua Park with 9 waterslides for adults. There are 16 additional slides for children at the "Pickalbatros Aqua Blu", which can also be used. Sun loungers and umbrellas are included at the pool and beach; bath towels only at the pool. There is a beach bar on the beach, which is also included. If needed, unlimited access to the Neverland Aqua Park can be booked.
For guests of the "Pickalbatros Aqua Park", "Pickalbatros Aqua Blu", and "Pickalbatros Aqua Vista", the newly opened "Midway-Street" with various theme park attractions is also available.

All Inclusive

Breakfast from 7-10 a.m., late riser breakfast until 11 a.m., lunch buffet from 12:30-2:30 p.m., dinner in 2 restaurants (main restaurant and Asian restaurant) from 6-9 p.m. Alternatively, also in one of the two restaurants "Tagine" and "Soprano" at the sister hotels Pickalbatros Aqua Blu and Pickalbatros Aqua Vista. The price of 75 € for adults and 38 € for children up to 11 years includes daily free entry, snacks, and soft drinks, as well as the transfer from/to the overnight hotel.
