Travel information

Combined product of a Nile cruise on the MS Nile Excellence and a beach holiday including all intermediate transfers. Accommodation in the hotel will always be in the cheapest available room category. Boarding is always on Thursdays. The trip must be started at least one day in advance, as an overnight stay is mandatory. The next possible boarding will always be taken.

Notice

The travel package you have selected has a duration of 14 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always for seven days according to the program. The pre- and post-cruise stay in the hotel depends on your arrival day and the boarding day. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and harbor are included.

When booking the MS Nile Excellence, the following excursions are automatically included: Valley of the Kings, Kom Ombo Temple, and the High Dam visit in Aswan.

Day 1:
Arrival and embarkation. In the afternoon, visit the Luxor Museum (3). Dinner and overnight stay on board in Luxor.
Day 2:
A hot air balloon ride is possible at 5 AM (optional, bookable on site).
In the morning, after breakfast, excursion to West Thebes to the Temple of Hatshepsut (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
In the afternoon, sail to Edfu. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 3:
In the morning, continue sailing to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board and visit the double temple (1,2,3).
Continue sailing to Aswan, dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 4:
In the morning, after breakfast, visit the Aswan High Dam (1,2,3).
Then visit the Temple of Philae by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
In the afternoon, felucca sailing on the Nile (1,2,3).
Then visit a Nubian village (3).
Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 5:
Early in the morning at 3:30 AM, opportunity for an excursion to Abu Simbel by bus (2,3), breakfast box included.
Then it's back to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board. Overnight stay and dinner on board.
Day 6:
Breakfast on board. Then the ship sails on to Esna. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 7:
Breakfast. Then you have the opportunity to visit the Temple of Edfu (1,2,3).
Then the ship sails on to Luxor.
Upon arrival, you have the opportunity to visit the East Bank with the Luxor Temple (1,2,3) and Karnak Temple (1,2,3). There is an opportunity for a sound and light show at Karnak Temple (optional, can be booked on site).

Departure.

Facilities

The MS Nile Excellence has a total of 30 modernly furnished outside cabins spread across several decks. The reception area is bright and elegantly designed and features a reception desk. Enjoy culinary delights in the main restaurant and savor cool drinks from the three bars on board. A small bazaar and a cozy reading corner are also available. Starting from Winter 2024/25, the ship will have a small fitness studio, freely accessible to all guests on board. To make your vacation perfect, you can relax on the sun deck on the loungers or cool off in the pool while enjoying the dreamlike view of the landscape along the Nile.

Suite

The friendly furnished Suites (S2) are approx. 24 sqm and feature a shower/toilet, hairdryer, two single beds or a double bed, air conditioning (individually adjustable), minibar, safe, TV, telephone (for a fee), seating area, and a French balcony.
Also bookable for single occupancy (1SA).

Royal Suite

The Royal Suites (RS) have the same amenities as the suites but are larger (approx. 37 sqm). The Royal Suites are located on the middle and upper decks.
On the balcony of the Royal Suites, there is also a small table and two chairs.

Single Suite

The Single Suites (S1) are approx. 13 sqm and otherwise identically equipped as the suites, but with only one single bed and no seating area.

Economy Suite

The Economy Suites (S2Z) are slightly smaller (approx. 21 sqm) with otherwise identical amenities to the suites, and may have a non-opening window instead of a French balcony and no seating area.

The hotel "Pickalbatros Aqua Park", very popular with families, is located only about 700m from the hotel's own beach section. You can reach this after a short walk through the grounds of the sister hotel "Beach Albatros" (HRG013) or by free shuttle. The hotel is separated from "Beach Albatros" only by a street. Hurghada Airport is about 10 km away, and it takes about 20 minutes to drive to Hurghada Downtown.

Facilities

The particularly family-friendly complex has 296 rooms, distributed across the main building and four 3-story annexes. In addition to two restaurants in the hotel (Mediterranean cuisine, Asian cuisine) and various bars, other restaurants from the sister hotels can also be used. The hotel also offers a spacious lobby with a lobby bar, reception, and ATM, as well as various shops in front of the hotel and a hairdresser. In the outdoor area, there is an amphitheater, 5 swimming pools (one of which is heated, one children's pool), an Olympic pool in the sister hotel Pickalbatros Aqua Vista (for a fee), and the Aqua Park with 9 water slides for adults. There are 16 additional slides for children in "Pickalbatros Aqua Blu", which can also be used. Sun loungers and umbrellas are included by the pool and on the beach; towels are only available at the pool. There is a beach bar at the beach, which is also included. If needed, unlimited access to the Neverland Aqua Park can be booked additionally.
For guests of "Pickalbatros Aqua Park", "Pickalbatros Aqua Blu", and "Pickalbatros Aqua Vista", the newly opened "Midway Street" with various amusement park attractions is also available.

The double rooms (D) are friendly and tastefully furnished with a shower/toilet, hairdryer, air conditioning, minibar, kettle, telephone, satellite TV, safe, and a balcony or terrace, and have a size of approx. 32 sqm.

Super Economy Room

These Super Economy Rooms (SSZ) have the same amenities as the double rooms but have limited availability and a special price.

All Inclusive

Breakfast from 7 AM to 10 AM, late risers' breakfast until 11 AM, lunch buffet from 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM, dinner in 2 restaurants (main restaurant and Asian restaurant) from 6 PM to 9 PM. Optionally also in one of the two restaurants "Tagine" and "Soprano" in the sister hotels Pickalbatros Aqua Blu and Pickalbatros Aqua Vista. Late dinner from 10 PM to midnight, various snacks in the food court from 12 PM to 5 PM and at the beach bar from 3 PM to 4 PM. Ice cream for children from 10 AM to 6 PM. The price of €75 for adults and €38 for children up to 11 years includes daily free entry with snacks and soft drinks, as well as transfer from/to the hotel of stay.
