Travel information

Combination product consisting of a Nile cruise on the MS Nile Excellence and a beach holiday, including all transfers. Accommodation in the hotel is always in the most reasonably priced available room category. Embarkation always takes place on Thursdays. The journey must be started at least one day in advance, as an overnight stay beforehand is mandatory. The earliest possible embarkation is always selected.

Notice

The travel offer you have chosen has a duration of 14 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always for seven days according to the program. The preliminary and subsequent stay at the hotel depends on your day of arrival and the day of embarkation. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

When booking the MS Nile Excellence, the following excursions are automatically included: Valley of the Kings, Kom Ombo Temple, and a visit to the High Dam in Aswan.

Day 1:
Arrival and embarkation. Afternoon visit to the Luxor Museum (3). Dinner and overnight stay on board in Luxor.
Day 2:
At 5 a.m., a balloon flight is possible (optionally bookable on site).
In the morning, after breakfast, excursion to Thebes-West to the Temple of Hatshepsut (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon trip to Edfu. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 3:
Morning trip to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board and visit to the Double Temple (1,2,3).
Trip to Aswan, dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 4:
Morning after breakfast, visit to the Aswan High Dam (1,2,3).
Afterwards, visit to the Philae Temple by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon felucca trip on the Nile (1,2,3).
Afterwards, visit to a Nubian village (3).
Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 5:
Early morning at 3:30 a.m., opportunity for an excursion to Abu Simbel by bus (2,3), breakfast box is included.
Then it is back to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board. Overnight stay and dinner on board.
Day 6:
Breakfast on board. Then the ship continues to Esna. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 7:
Breakfast. Afterwards, you have the opportunity to visit the Edfu Temple (1,2,3).
Then the ship continues to Luxor.
Once there, you have the opportunity to visit the East Bank with the Luxor Temple (1,2,3) and the Karnak Temple (1,2,3). There is an opportunity for a Sound and Light Show at the Karnak Temple (optional, can be booked on site).

Departure.

Facilities

The MS Nile Excellence has a total of 30 modernly furnished outside cabins, spread over several decks. The reception area is bright and elegantly designed and has a reception desk. Let yourself be pampered in the main restaurant and enjoy the cool drinks served at the three bars on board. Furthermore, a small bazaar and a cozy reading corner are available to you. From winter 2024/25, the ship will have a small gym, which is freely accessible to all guests on board. To make your holiday perfect, you can relax on the sun loungers on the sun deck or cool off in the pool and enjoy the fantastic view of the landscape along the Nile.

Suite

The friendly furnished suites (S2) are approx. 24 m² in size and have a shower/WC, hairdryer, two single beds or one double bed, air conditioning (individually adjustable), minibar, safe, TV, telephone (for a fee), sitting area, and a French balcony.
Also bookable for single use (1SA).

Royal Suite

The Royal Suites (RS) have the same features as the suites but are larger (approx. 37 m²). The Royal Suites are located on the middle deck and upper deck.
In the Royal Suites, there is also a small table and two chairs on the balcony.

Single Suites

The single suites (S1) are approx. 13 m² in size and otherwise equipped the same as the suites, but with only one single bed without a sitting area.

Economy Suite

The economy suites (S2Z), with otherwise the same features as the suites, are somewhat smaller (approx. 21 m²) and possibly without a French balcony and without a sitting area, instead featuring a window that cannot be opened.

Breakfast, lunch, and dinner as a buffet or set menu.
Breakfast includes soft and hot drinks. For lunch and dinner, two soft drinks and a small bottle of water per person are included.

Location

Spend a wonderful holiday with direct beach access in the popular Beach Albatros Resort of the renowned Pickalbatros hotel chain. Enjoy the view of the beautiful Red Sea and let yourself be enchanted. The holiday resort is located directly on the fine-grained sandy beach and is considered particularly family-friendly. It is about 17 km to the center of Hurghada and approx. 11 km to the airport.

Facilities

This particularly family-friendly resort has 678 rooms distributed across a main building and several bungalows. Upper floors can be reached comfortably via the five elevators. The lobby area offers a reception desk and a lobby bar. Four different buffet restaurants are available ("L'Asiatique" Asian, "Le Marche" international, "Culina" seafood, "Sidi Ali" Oriental cuisine, an à la carte restaurant, a shisha corner (for a fee), various bars, as well as a hairdresser and boutiques. The "Dolce Vita Lounge Bar," newly opened in summer 2023, impresses with a luxurious atmosphere and delicious cocktails. Outside, the pool landscape stretches across a total of 9 swimming pools (partially heated in winter), four of which have integrated children's areas and a children's pool, 13 slides for adults, as well as 9 slides for children, which ensure plenty of water fun. Sun loungers, parasols, and beach towels are available free of charge at the pools and on the beach.

Bungalow garden view

The bungalows with garden view (BG2) are approx. 30 m² in size and equipped with a double bed or two single beds, shower/WC, tiles, air conditioning, telephone, safe (included), satellite TV, mini-fridge (1 bottle of water per person per day included), electric kettle, and a balcony or terrace.
Additionally bookable as type I room (BGI/DEI) with a special price and limited allotment.

The bungalows are identical in size and features to the bungalows with garden view, but the view may vary (BU/B2A/B1B).

The double superior pool view rooms (DSP) are equipped like the bungalows with garden view but are larger (approx. 36 m²) and feature a pool view. The rooms can be located in the main building or in the annex buildings.

The double rooms with sea view (approx. 24 m², DM) have the same features as the bungalows with garden view, additionally feature a sea view, and are located in the main building.
Also bookable for single use (DEM).

Super Saver room

The super saver rooms (SSZ) have the same features as the bungalows with garden view, are distributed throughout the hotel complex, and have a limited allotment.

The family rooms (DF2) have the same features as the bungalows with garden view, but are larger (approx. 48 m²), consist of 2 bedrooms and a bathroom, as well as a balcony or terrace.
Additionally bookable as type I room (DFI) with a special price and limited allotment.
Also bookable with pool view (FP2) for an additional charge.

Suite sea view

The suites with sea view (S2M) have the same features as the bungalows with garden view, but are more spacious (approx. 48 m²) with a living room/bedroom and a separate bedroom. The rooms are located in the main building.

Double room Deluxe (HRGA05)

These double rooms are approx. 28 m² in size and equipped with air conditioning, TV, shower/WC, and a balcony or terrace with a view of the garden (DD2/DD3). Optionally also bookable without a specific view (DDA), with pool view and slightly smaller at approx. 24 m² (DPB), towards the sea (approx. 24 m², X2M), or with sea view (approx. 24 m², DDM).

In the price of 75 € for adults and 38 € for children up to 11 years, besides daily free admission including snacks and soft drinks, the transfer from/to the accommodation hotel is also included.
