Travel information

Combination package consisting of a Nile cruise on the MS Lady Carol and a beach holiday, including all inter-hotel transfers. Accommodation at the hotel is always provided in the most affordable available room category. Embarkation always takes place on Thursdays. The journey must be commenced at least one day in advance, as an overnight stay prior to the cruise is mandatory. The next possible embarkation will always be selected.

Notice

The travel offer you have selected has a duration of 14 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always provided for seven days according to the program. The pre-cruise and post-cruise stay at the hotel depends on your day of arrival and the day of embarkation. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

Day 1:
Arrival and embarkation. In the afternoon, visit to the Luxor Museum (3) Dinner and overnight stay on board in Luxor.
Day 2:
Tour of the East Bank in Luxor. At 5 am, optional hot air balloon excursion (can be booked locally).
Breakfast, visit to the East Bank, the Karnak and Luxor temples (1,2,3).
Lunch on board.
Dinner and overnight stay on board in Luxor.
Day 3:
Tour of the West Bank. In the morning after breakfast, excursion to Thebes-West to the Hatshepsut Temple (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Late in the evening, cruise to Esna. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 4:
Continue sailing from Esna.
Afterwards, proceed to Aswan, where the overnight stay also takes place.
Lunch and dinner, as well as overnight stay on board.
Day 5:
In the morning after breakfast, visit to the Aswan High Dam and the Old Dam in Aswan (1,2,3).
Afterwards, visit to the Philae Temple by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
In the afternoon, felucca ride on the Nile (1,2,3).
Afterwards, opportunity to visit a Nubian village with the desert on one side and the Nile on the other (3).
Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 6:
You have the opportunity to explore Abu Simbel (2,3). Cruise to Kom Ombo with a visit to the Double Temple (1,2,3). Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 7:
Continue sailing to Esna and visit the Edfu Temple (1,2,3). Overnight stay on board.
Day 8:
Arrival in Luxor. Departure.

The ship features a friendly reception and a total of 72 beautiful outside cabins spread over several decks. The main restaurant provides delicious meals for your physical well-being. The offer is complemented by a cozy lounge bar. A small bazaar invites you to stroll and browse. On the spacious sun deck, there is a large pool and a bar. Bath towels are included on board.

Cabins

The tastefully furnished cabins (K2) are approx. 19 m² and feature a bathroom with bathtub/WC, hairdryer, telephone, satellite TV, video system, air conditioning, minibar, and safe.
The cabins can also be booked for single use (K1 or KA1).

Economy cabins

The economy cabins (EK2) are equipped like the standard cabins, but are located on the lower decks and have a small porthole.

Single occupancy cabin

Same equipment as the cabins, but slightly smaller (approx. 13 m²) and with only one bed (K1B). The window cannot be opened.

The best time of the year can be experienced in the idyllic surroundings of the Pickalbatros Palace Resort. This spacious holiday resort is located directly on its own sandy beach. The deeper water can be easily reached via a jetty. Only 18 km from the center of Hurghada and about 11 km from the airport, a place of relaxation awaits you here.

Facilities

The holiday day can be designed with a variety of activities: After intensive experiences outdoors, the wellness area provides the deepest relaxation. International delicacies in the various restaurants complete the culinary experience. The appealing hotel of the upscale category consists of a main building and several side buildings, in which the total of 621 rooms are distributed. The hotel offers a reception in the luxurious entrance area with a spacious lobby, a hairdresser/beauty salon (for a fee), a shopping arcade, and an ATM. Six restaurants, including Moroccan and Italian cuisine, various bars, cafés, and an oriental pub delight the palate. In the spacious outdoor area, there is a large, lagoon-style pool landscape with various pools (1 of which is heated from November to April), a swim-up bar, as well as a separate fun area for children with slides and fountains (1 heatable children's pool). Sun loungers, parasols, and bath towels are provided free of charge on the sun terraces and at the beach.
The aqua park of the neighboring "Beach Albatros" hotel with its 18 slides, including 11 slides for adults and 7 for children, can also be used free of charge.

The price of 75 € for adults and 38 € for children up to 11 years includes daily free admission including snacks and soft drinks, as well as the transfer from/to the overnight hotel.
