Travel information

Combination product consisting of a Nile cruise on the MS Lady Carol and a beach holiday, including all intermediate transfers. Accommodation at the hotel is always provided in the most affordable available room category. Embarkation always takes place on Thursdays. The trip must be started at least one day in advance, as an overnight stay beforehand is mandatory. The earliest possible embarkation is always selected.

Notice

The travel offer you have chosen has a duration of 14 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always provided for seven days according to the program. The pre- and post-cruise stay at the hotel depends on your arrival day and the embarkation day. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

Day 1:
Arrival and embarkation. Afternoon visit to the Luxor Museum (3). Dinner and overnight on board in Luxor.
Day 2:
Tour of the East Bank in Luxor. At 5 a.m., hot air balloon trip (optional, can be booked on site).
Breakfast, tour of the East Bank, Karnak and Luxor temples (1,2,3).
Lunch on board.
Dinner and overnight on board in Luxor.
Day 3:
Tour of the West Bank. In the morning after breakfast, excursion to Thebes-West to the Temple of Hatshepsut (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Late evening departure to Esna. Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 4:
Continue from Esna.
Afterwards, continue to Aswan, where the overnight stay will take place.
Lunch, dinner, and overnight on board.
Day 5:
Morning after breakfast, visit to the Aswan High Dam and the Old Dam in Aswan (1,2,3).
Afterwards, visit to the Philae Temple by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon felucca ride on the Nile (1,2,3).
Then opportunity to visit a Nubian village with the desert on one side and the Nile on the other (3).
Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 6:
You have the opportunity to explore Abu Simbel (2,3). Departure to Kom Ombo with a visit to the double temple (1,2,3). Dinner and overnight on board.

Continue to Esna and visit the Edfu Temple (1,2,3). Overnight on board.

The ship features a friendly reception and a total of 72 beautiful outside cabins spread over several decks. The main restaurant serves delicious dishes for your dining pleasure. The offer is complemented by a cozy lounge bar. A small bazaar invites you to stroll and browse. On the spacious sun deck, there is a large pool and a bar. Bath towels are included on board.

The tastefully furnished cabins (K2) are approx. 19 m² in size and feature a bathroom with bath/WC, hairdryer, telephone, satellite TV, video system, air conditioning, minibar, and safe.

Economy cabins

The economy cabins (EK2) are equipped like the standard cabins, but are located on the lower decks and feature a small round window.

Single cabin

Same equipment as the cabins, but slightly smaller (approx. 13 m²) and with only one bed (K1B). The window cannot be opened.

The exclusive Steigenberger Golf Resort is located on a peninsula, surrounded by a stunning lagoon with a hotel-owned lagoon beach and a spacious 18-hole golf course. The turquoise lagoon landscape invites you to relax and unwind. The famous Zeytouna Beach on Zeytouna Island, which leads into the crystal-clear water with a 400 m long jetty, is only about 2 km away. The center of El Gouna with numerous shops, bars, and restaurants, which invite you to stroll and linger, is about 1 km away. The center of Hurghada is about 30 km away, and Hurghada Airport is approximately 35 km away.

Facilities

The Steigenberger Golf Resort was extensively renovated in the spring of 2023 and has been shining in new splendor ever since. The exclusive hotel consists of a main building and several annexes. The spacious complex was built in a Nubian style and features 268 modern rooms. The hotel offers its guests an elegant lobby with reception and seating areas. In the extensive and beautifully designed garden area, there are two main pools and a children's pool (one of the two main pools is heated in winter, the children's pool is heated in winter) with a sun terrace and an inviting pool bar. Sun loungers, parasols, and bath towels are available to guests at the pool and the lagoon beach free of charge. Three restaurants and six bars fulfill your culinary wishes. These include the buffet restaurant "Fairways Restaurant" with rotating themed buffets and a variety of international specialties, "La Rotisserie" with international dishes, and the "Harumaki Restaurant" with Japanese cuisine (reservation required). The resort's further facilities include an 18-hole golf course popular with golfers, as well as a spa, wellness, and fitness area.

The Deluxe Double Rooms (DD2) are about 54 m² and feature a bathroom with shower/WC, hairdryer, air conditioning, telephone, free Wi-Fi, Smart TV, minibar (for a fee), coffee/tea maker, safe, and balcony or terrace with garden view.
Also bookable for single occupancy (DD1).

Premium Double Room Lagoon or Pool View

The rooms (PPD) are 54 m² in size and modernly furnished. They feature a bathroom with shower/WC, hairdryer, air conditioning, telephone, free Wi-Fi, Smart TV, minibar (for a fee), coffee/tea maker, safe, and balcony or terrace with lagoon, pool, or golf course view.
Also bookable for single occupancy (1PP).

Junior Suite

The Junior Suites (JS2) have the same facilities as the double rooms, but are more spacious (72 m²) and additionally feature an integrated living area with a table, two chairs, and two sofa beds, and have a view of the garden, lagoon, golf course, or pool.

Dine Around El Gouna

The Dine-Around program allows guests with half board, full board, or all-inclusive a special culinary experience in numerous different Dine-Around venues. Guests can dine in participating restaurants of other hotels – without any additional costs for the food (excluding drinks).
Depending on the length of stay, guests can use the Dine-Around offer several times: 1x from four nights, up to 3x for five to seven nights, and up to 4x for eight nights or more. Guests of 5-star hotels have access to all participating restaurants. Guests from a 3 or 4-star hotel can dine in houses of the same category – an upgrade to a 5-star restaurant is possible for a small fee.

18-hole championship golf course with driving range located on the hotel grounds. Green fee can be booked on site, depending on the season. Offers and prices are provided by the Golf Club (equipment can be rented from the local provider). Snorkeling, diving, kitesurfing, bike rental. Tennis at the El Gouna Tennis Club (floodlights and equipment for a fee).
