Travel information

Combination product consisting of a Nile cruise on the MS Lady Carol and a beach holiday, including all inter-hotel transfers. Accommodation in the hotel is always in the most reasonably priced available room category. Embarkation always takes place on Thursdays. The journey must be started at least one day in advance, as an overnight stay prior to embarkation is mandatory. The next possible embarkation date will always be selected.

Notice

The travel offer you have selected has a duration of 14 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always for seven days according to the program. The pre-cruise and post-cruise stay at the hotel depends on your arrival day and the embarkation day. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

Itinerary:
Day 1:
Arrival and embarkation. Afternoon visit to the Luxor Museum (3). Dinner and overnight stay on board in Luxor.
Day 2:
Sightseeing on the East Bank in Luxor. At 5 a.m., optional hot air balloon excursion (can be booked locally).
Breakfast, sightseeing on the East Bank, including Karnak and Luxor Temples (1, 2, 3).
Lunch on board.
Dinner and overnight stay on board in Luxor.
Day 3:
Sightseeing on the West Bank. In the morning after breakfast, excursion to Thebes-West to the Temple of Hatshepsut (1, 2, 3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1, 2, 3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1, 2, 3). Lunch on board.
Late evening sailing to Esna. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 4:
Continue sailing from Esna.
Then continue to Aswan, where the overnight stay takes place.

Day 5:
In the morning after breakfast, visit to the Aswan High Dam and the Old Dam in Aswan (1, 2, 3).
Then visit the Philae Temple by motorboat (1, 2, 3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon felucca ride on the Nile (1, 2, 3).
Afterward, opportunity to visit a Nubian village, with the desert on one side and the Nile on the other (3).
Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 6:
You have the opportunity to explore Abu Simbel (2, 3). Sail to Kom Ombo and visit the Double Temple (1, 2, 3). Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 7:
Continue to Esna and visit the Temple of Edfu (1, 2, 3). Overnight stay on board.
Day 8:
Arrival in Luxor. Departure.

The ship features a friendly reception and a total of 72 beautiful outside cabins spread over several decks. The main restaurant provides delicious meals for your physical well-being. The offering is complemented by a cozy lounge bar. A small bazaar invites you to stroll and browse. On the spacious sun deck, there is a large pool and a bar. Bath towels are included on board.

The tastefully furnished cabins (K2) are approx. 19 m² in size and feature a bathroom with shower/WC, hairdryer, telephone, satellite TV, video system, air conditioning, minibar, and safe.
The cabins can also be booked for single occupancy (K1 or KA1).

Economy cabins

The economy cabins (EK2) are equipped like the standard cabins, but are located on the lower decks and have a small porthole.

Single cabin

With the same amenities as the cabins, but slightly smaller (approx. 13 m²) and with only one bed (K1B). The window cannot be opened.

The family-friendly hotel is located directly on a 1,500-meter-long, beautifully landscaped lagoon with its own hotel beach section in El Gouna, north of Hurghada. A shuttle boat transfer (approx. 15 minutes) takes guests to another private island beach on the open sea, the beautiful Zeytouna Beach. From Zeytouna Beach, a long jetty leads out into the Red Sea. Experience the fascinating underwater world while snorkeling there. The center of El Gouna is approx. 350 m away. The distance to Hurghada Airport is approx. 25 kilometers.

Facilities

Built in a Nubian village style, the resort delights guests with a cozy flair characterized by towers, domes, and arches, and features 434 comfortably furnished rooms spread across several two-story buildings. The resort has a beautiful and inviting reception area with seating and Wi-Fi in all public areas. In the outdoor area, there are four different swimming pools (fitness pool, sunset pool with two smaller slides, Aqua Splash pool with four different water slides, and Dolphin pool), three of which can be heated in winter. Four children's pools are also available for younger guests, three of which can be heated in winter. One of these pools features small slides and water features. Sun loungers, bath towels, and parasols are provided free of charge at the pools and at the hotel's private beach. A main restaurant, four different specialty restaurants, and various bars provide for your physical well-being.

Comfort double room (DK2)

The tastefully decorated rooms (approx. 21 m²) have been completely renovated and feature a bathroom with shower/WC, minibar (for a fee), air conditioning, telephone, hairdryer, kettle, and coffee/tea-making facilities, safe, satellite TV, Wi-Fi, and a balcony or terrace with pool or garden view. Also bookable for single occupancy (DK1).

Premium Room (PR2)

With the same amenities as the double rooms, but more spacious (approx. 28 m²), these rooms offer a view of the pool, garden, or lagoon. Also bookable for single occupancy (PR1).

Family room (DF2)

The cozy family rooms have the same amenities as the double rooms but are more spacious (approx. 37 m²).

Superior double room

The newly bookable Superior rooms (DSU, 28 m²) are renovated and offer a choice of different views, depending on the room's location in the hotel – either overlooking the garden or the refreshing pool. The rooms are equipped with two different bed types: a spacious king-size bed or two single beds, depending on your preference. The rooms feature free Wi-Fi, air conditioning, a kettle, and coffee/tea-making facilities.
Also bookable for 3 people (TDS) and single occupancy (DSE).

Superior Plus double room

With similar amenities to the Superior double rooms, these rooms (DSB) are more spacious (approx. 35 m²). The rooms are renovated and newly bookable.

The main restaurant "Sunny Restaurant" offers breakfast (07:00-10:00), lunch (12:00-14:30), and dinner (18:30-21:00) in buffet style. Additionally, the restaurant offers teatime with various snacks from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. Several specialty restaurants are also available: "Greenhouse" with vegan and vegetarian dishes in the morning (7:30 a.m.-11 a.m. buffet), lunch (11 a.m.-3 p.m. à la carte for a fee), and dinner (6 p.m.-9 p.m. à la carte for a fee with prior reservation). "Lagoon Lunch" at noon (12 p.m.-3 p.m. à la carte). "Dolce Vita" with Italian dishes (6:30 p.m.-9 p.m. à la carte) and "Chez Pascal" with a selection of various specialties (6:30 p.m.-9 p.m. à la carte for a fee on Fridays). Soft drinks, hot drinks, and local alcoholic beverages are served to guests until midnight at six different bars, including the All-Inclusive Bar, Sunset Bar, Dolphin Bar, Lagoon Bar, Lounge Bar, and the Peanuts Bar, which is open until midnight and offers various entertainment and activities. The All-Inclusive offer is valid daily until midnight.

Dine Around El Gouna

The Dine-Around program allows guests with half board, full board, or All-Inclusive a special culinary experience. Guests can dine in participating restaurants at other hotels – at no extra cost for the meal (excluding drinks).
Depending on the length of stay, guests can use the Dine-Around offer multiple times: 1x from four nights, up to 3x for five to seven nights, and up to 4x for eight or more nights. Guests from 5-star hotels have access to all participating restaurants. Guests from a 3 or 4-star hotel can dine in establishments of the same category – an upgrade to a 5-star restaurant is possible for a small fee.
