Travel information

Combination product consisting of a Nile cruise on the MS Lady Carol and a beach holiday, including all intermediate transfers. Accommodation at the hotel is always in the most affordable available room category. Embarkation always takes place on Thursdays. The trip must be started at least one day in advance, as an overnight stay prior to embarkation is mandatory. The next possible embarkation date will always be selected.

Notice

The travel package you have selected has a duration of 14 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always provided for seven days according to the program. The pre-cruise and post-cruise hotel stay depends on your arrival day and the embarkation day. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

The itinerary may shift depending on the day of embarkation.

Day 1:
Arrival and embarkation. Afternoon visit to the Luxor Museum (3). Dinner and overnight stay on board in Luxor.
Day 2:
Sightseeing on the East Bank in Luxor. At 5 AM, hot air balloon excursion (optional, can be booked on-site).
Breakfast, visit to the East Bank, Karnak and Luxor temples (1, 2, 3).
Lunch on board.
Dinner and overnight stay on board in Luxor.
Day 3:
Sightseeing on the West Bank. In the morning after breakfast, excursion to Thebes-West to the Temple of Hatshepsut (1, 2, 3) and visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1, 2, 3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1, 2, 3). Lunch on board.
Late evening departure to Esna. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 4:
Continued sailing from Esna.
Then on to Aswan, where the overnight stay takes place.
Lunch and dinner as well as overnight stay on board.
Day 5:
In the morning after breakfast, visit to the Aswan High Dam and the Old Dam in Aswan (1, 2, 3).
Then visit to the Philae Temple by motorboat (1, 2, 3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon felucca trip on the Nile (1, 2, 3).
Afterwards, opportunity to visit a Nubian village with the desert on one side and the Nile on the other (3).
Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 6:
Opportunity to explore Abu Simbel (2, 3). Sail to Kom Ombo with a visit to the double temple (1, 2, 3). Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 7:
Continue sailing to Esna and visit the Edfu Temple (1, 2, 3). Overnight stay on board.
Day 8:
Arrival in Luxor. Departure.

The ship features a friendly reception and a total of 72 beautiful outside cabins, distributed over several decks. The main restaurant provides delicious meals for your physical well-being. The offer is complemented by a cozy lounge bar. A small bazaar invites you to stroll and browse. On the spacious sun deck, there is a large pool and a bar. Bath towels are included on board.

The tastefully furnished cabins (K2) are approx. 19 m² in size and have a bathroom with bath/WC, hairdryer, telephone, satellite TV, video system, air conditioning, minibar, and safe.
The cabins can also be booked for single use (K1 or KA1).

Economy cabins

The economy cabins (EK2) are equipped like the standard cabins but are located on the lower decks and have a small porthole.

Single occupancy cabin

With the same amenities as the cabins, but slightly smaller (approx. 13 m²) and with only one bed (K1B). The window cannot be opened.

The family-friendly hotel is located directly on a 1,500-meter-long, beautifully landscaped lagoon with a private hotel beach section in El Gouna, north of Hurghada. A shuttle boat transfer (approx. 15 minutes) takes guests to another private island beach on the open sea, the beautiful Zeytouna Beach. A long jetty leads from Zeytouna Beach out onto the Red Sea. Experience the fascinating underwater world while snorkeling from there. The center of El Gouna is approx. 350 m away. Hurghada Airport is approx. 25 kilometers away.

Facilities

Built in the style of a Nubian village, the complex delights with a cozy flair characterized by towers, domes, and arches. It has 434 comfortably furnished rooms spread over several two-story buildings. The resort features a beautiful and inviting reception area with seating and Wi-Fi in all public areas of the complex. In the outdoor area, there are four different swimming pools (fitness pool, sunset pool with two smaller slides, Aqua Splash pool with four different water slides, Dolphin pool), three of which can be heated in winter. Four children's pools are also available for younger guests, three of which can be heated in winter. One of these pools features small slides and water features. Sun loungers, bath towels, and parasols are provided free of charge at the pools and at the hotel's own beach. A main restaurant and four different specialty restaurants as well as various bars cater to your physical well-being.

Comfort Double Room (DK2)

The tastefully furnished rooms (approx. 21 m²) have been completely renovated and feature a bathroom with shower/WC, minibar (for a fee), air conditioning, telephone, hairdryer, electric kettle, coffee/tea making facilities, safe, satellite TV, Wi-Fi, and a balcony or terrace with pool and garden view. Also bookable for single use (DK1).

Premium Room (PR2)

With the same amenities as the double rooms but more spacious (approx. 28 m²), these rooms have a pool/garden or lagoon view. Also bookable for single use (PR1).

The cozy family rooms have the same amenities as the double rooms but are more spacious (approx. 37 m²).

Superior Double Room

The newly bookable Superior Rooms (DSU, 28 m²) are renovated and offer a choice of different views depending on the room's location in the hotel – either overlooking the garden or the refreshing pool. The rooms are equipped with two different bed types: a spacious king-size bed or two single beds, depending on your preference. The rooms feature free Wi-Fi, air conditioning, an electric kettle, and tea and coffee making facilities.

The "Sunny Restaurant" offers breakfast (07:00-10:00), lunch (12:00-14:30), and dinner (18:30-21:00) in buffet form. Additionally, the restaurant offers tea time with various snacks from 16:00 to 17:00. Various specialty restaurants are also available: "Greenhouse" with vegan and vegetarian dishes in the morning (07:30-11:00 in buffet form), lunch (11:00-15:00 à la carte for a fee), and evening (18:00-21:00 à la carte for a fee with advance reservation). "Lagoon Lunch" at noon (12:00-15:00 à la carte). "Dolce Vita" with Italian cuisine (18:30-21:00 à la carte) and "Chez Pascal" with a selection of different specialties (18:30-21:00 à la carte for a fee on Fridays). Soft drinks, hot drinks, and local alcoholic beverages are offered to guests until midnight at six different bars, including the All-Inclusive Bar, Sunset Bar, Dolphin Bar, Lagoon Bar, Lounge Bar, and Peanuts Bar, which is open until midnight and offers various entertainment and activities. Dine Around El Gouna

The Dine-Around program allows guests with half board, full board, or all-inclusive a special culinary experience. Guests can dine in participating restaurants at other hotels – completely at no extra cost for food (drinks excluded).
Depending on the length of stay, guests can use the Dine-Around offer multiple times: 1x from four nights, up to 3x for five to seven nights, and up to 4x for eight or more nights. Guests from 5-star hotels have access to all participating restaurants.
