Travel information

Combined product consisting of a Nile cruise on the MS Lady Carol and a beach holiday, including all intermediate transfers. Accommodation at the hotel will always be in the cheapest available room category. Boarding always takes place on Thursdays. The trip must be started at least one day in advance, as an overnight stay prior to boarding is mandatory. Boarding will always be on the next available opportunity.

Notice

The travel package you have selected has a duration of 14 Days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always for seven days according to the program. The pre- and post-stay at the hotel depends on your arrival day and the boarding day. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

Day 1:
Arrival and embarkation. Afternoon visit to the Luxor Museum (3). Dinner and overnight on board in Luxor.
Day 2:
Visit to the East Bank in Luxor. At 5 AM, optional balloon excursion (can be booked locally).
Breakfast, visit to the East Bank, Karnak Temple, and Luxor Temple (1,2,3).
Lunch on board.
Dinner and overnight on board in Luxor.
Day 3:
Visit to the West Bank. After breakfast, excursion to Thebes-West to the Temple of Hatshepsut (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Late evening departure for Esna. Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 4:
Continued sailing from Esna.
Then, continue to Aswan, where you will spend the night.
Lunch and dinner, and overnight on board.
Day 5:
After breakfast, visit the Aswan High Dam and the Old Dam in Aswan (1,2,3).
Then, visit the Temple of Philae by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
In the afternoon, felucca ride on the Nile (1,2,3).
Then, an opportunity to visit a Nubian village, with the desert on one side and the Nile on the other (3).
Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 6:
You have the opportunity to explore Abu Simbel (2,3). Sail to Kom Ombo with a visit to the double temple (1,2,3). Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 7:
Sail to Esna and visit the Temple of Edfu (1,2,3). Overnight on board.
Day 8:
Arrival in Luxor. Departure.

The ship has a friendly reception and a total of 72 beautiful exterior cabins spread across several decks. The main restaurant with its delicious dishes caters to your culinary needs. Cozy lounge bar complements the offering. A small bazaar invites you to stroll and browse. On the spacious sun deck, there is a large pool and a bar. Bath towels are included on board.

Cabins

The tastefully furnished cabins (K2) are approx. 19 sqm in size and feature a bathroom with bath/toilet, hairdryer, telephone, satellite TV, video system, air conditioning, minibar, and safe.
Cabins are also available for single occupancy (K1 or KA1).

Economy Cabins

The economy cabins (EK2) are equipped like the standard cabins but are located on the lower decks and have a small porthole window.

Single Occupancy Cabin

With the same amenities as the cabins, but slightly smaller (approx. 13 sqm) and with only one bed (K1B). The window cannot be opened.

The family-friendly hotel is located directly on a beautifully landscaped lagoon of 1,500 meters with its own stretch of beach in El Gouna, north of Hurghada. A shuttle boat transfer (approx. 15 minutes by boat) takes guests to another private island beach on the open sea, the beautiful Zeytouna Beach. From Zeytouna Beach, a long jetty extends into the Red Sea. From there, experience the fascinating underwater world while snorkeling. The center of El Gouna is approx. 350 m away. Hurghada Airport is approx. 25 kilometers away.

Facilities

The complex, built in Nubian village style, impresses with its cozy atmosphere, characterized by towers, domes, and arches, and features 434 comfortably furnished rooms spread across several two-story buildings. The resort has a beautiful and inviting reception area with seating and Wi-Fi in all public areas of the complex. The outdoor area includes four different swimming pools (fitness pool, sunset pool with two small slides, aqua splash pool with four different water slides, dolphin pool), three of which are heated in winter. There are also four children's pools for the little guests, three of which are heated in winter. One of these pools has small slides and water features. Sun loungers, beach towels, and umbrellas are provided free of charge at the pools and on the hotel's private beach. The main restaurant and four different specialty restaurants, as well as various bars, cater to your culinary needs.

Double Room Comfort (DK2)

The tastefully furnished rooms (approx. 21 sqm) have been completely renovated and feature a bathroom with shower/toilet, minibar (for a fee), air conditioning, telephone, hairdryer, kettle, and coffee/tea maker, safe, satellite TV, Wi-Fi, and a balcony or terrace with pool and garden view. Also available for single occupancy (DK1).

Premium Room (PR2)

With the same amenities as the double rooms, but more spacious (approx. 28 sqm), these rooms offer pool/garden or lagoon views. Also available for single occupancy (PR1).

The cozy family rooms have the same amenities as the double rooms but are more spacious (approx. 37 sqm).

Double Room Superior

The newly bookable Superior rooms (DSU, 28 sqm) are renovated and offer a choice of different views, depending on the room's location in the hotel – either with a view of the garden or the refreshing pool. The rooms are equipped with two different types of beds: a generous king-size bed or two single beds, as desired. The rooms feature free Wi-Fi, air conditioning, a kettle, and tea and coffee making facilities.

The rooms (DSB) are more spacious (approx. 35 sqm) with similar amenities to the Double Rooms Superior. The rooms are renovated and newly bookable.

The main restaurant "Sunny Restaurant" offers breakfast (7:00 AM - 10:00 AM), lunch (12:00 PM - 2:30 PM), and dinner (6:30 PM - 9:00 PM) as a buffet. Additionally, the restaurant offers tea time with various snacks from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM. There are also several specialty restaurants: "Greenhouse" with vegan and vegetarian dishes in the morning (7:30 AM - 11:00 AM buffet style), lunch (11:00 AM - 3:00 PM à la carte for a fee) and in the evening (6:00 PM - 9:00 PM à la carte for a fee with prior reservation). "Lagoon Lunch" at midday (12:00 PM - 3:00 PM à la carte). "Dolce Vita" with Italian dishes (6:30 PM - 9:00 PM à la carte) and "Chez Pascal" with a selection of various specialties (6:30 PM - 9:00 PM à la carte for a fee on Fridays). Soft drinks, hot beverages, and local alcoholic drinks are available until midnight at six different bars, including the All-Inclusive Bar, Sunset Bar, Dolphin Bar, Lagoon Bar, Lounge Bar, and Peanuts Bar, which is open until midnight and offers various entertainment and activities. The All-Inclusive package is valid daily until midnight.

Dine Around El Gouna

The Dine-Around program offers guests with half board, full board, or All Inclusive a special culinary experience. Guests can dine in participating restaurants in other hotels without any additional cost for the food (drinks excluded).
Depending on the length of stay, guests can use the Dine-Around offer multiple times: once for stays of four nights or more, up to 3 times for five to seven nights, and up to 4 times for eight or more nights. Guests from 5-star hotels have access to all participating restaurants. Guests from 3 or 4-star hotels can dine in hotels of the same category – an upgrade to a 5-star restaurant is possible for a small fee.
