Location

The extensive hotel complex is located directly on the hotel's own 400 m long sandy beach. A pier on the beach facilitates entry into deeper water, creating perfect conditions for snorkeling. From here, guests can explore the beautiful and diverse underwater world of the Red Sea. The nearest shopping center, Senzo Mall, is approximately 300 m away. The center of Hurghada is about 20 km away, and Hurghada International Airport is approximately 15 km away.

Facilities

Experience water fun for the whole family at this popular 5-star family resort! The complex is nestled in a beautiful and spacious garden landscape. Enjoy a wonderful family vacation and experience Egyptian hospitality. The hotel complex, particularly popular with returning guests, has 481 comfortably furnished rooms spread across several three-story buildings. The main building houses the reception, the Sun Ray Lobby Bar, and the Giardino Buffet Restaurant. The spacious and well-maintained garden area features a generous pool landscape consisting of three freshwater pools (Moroccan Pool, Aqua Pool, and Kids' Pool with slides; heated in winter). A highlight of the resort is the on-site water park with twelve different water slides (usable from 1.20 m) and a separate area with two children's slides (Octopus, Snake) that will make the hearts of water lovers, young and old, beat faster.
In addition to the buffet restaurant, the resort offers five delicious à la carte restaurants (Italian, Egyptian, Mongolian, Burger, Fusion cuisine (for a fee), reservations required for all), as well as four additional à la carte restaurants at the sister hotel "SENTIDO Mamlouk Palace," which can also be used free of charge (reservations required for all). Furthermore, there are eight different bars available: Sun Ray Bar, Boulevard Bar (for a fee), Amuse Billiard Bar, Victoria Pub, Aqua Bar, Oasis Pool Bar (located in the main pool), Nasaya Beach Bar, and a Shisha Tent (for a fee). Sun loungers, umbrellas, and beach towels are included by the pool and on the beach. The facilities of the "SENTIDO Mamlouk Palace Resort" can be used.

Double Room Superior

The 45 m² tastefully furnished Superior Double Rooms (DSU) feature a telephone, bathroom with shower or bathtub/toilet, hairdryer, coffee and tea making facilities, seating area, minibar (daily refill with water, once a week with soft drinks), air conditioning, safe, TV, balcony or terrace.
Also available for single occupancy (DE, DES) or with a side sea view (DMS, summer only 2024). Also bookable as Type I (DI) with a special price and limited availability.

Super Saver Room

Super Saver Rooms (SSZ) have the same amenities as Superior Double Rooms, but with limited availability and a special price.

Deluxe Double Room

Deluxe Double Rooms (DPB), approximately 45 m² in size, offer the same amenities as standard double rooms, plus a king-size bed or two twin beds, a seating area with a side table, and a dressing table. The rooms have a pool view.
Also available for single occupancy (DPE).
Also available with a side sea view (DDS/EDD) or as Type I (DDI) at a special price with limited availability.

Katta Family Room

Katta Family Rooms (KWF) with bunk beds are available as original Schauinsland-Reisen rooms and have been newly renovated in the Katta style (bookable under KWF and DF2).
The rooms offer additional amenities for children, such as a Katta-style bunk bed, a Katta play corner with beanbags, a small table with chairs, an extra Smart TV with HDMI connection, and a Katta height chart on the wall. The power outlets are also equipped with child safety locks. The bathrooms have towel rails at child height and a step stool in front of the sink. With the same amenities as standard double rooms, these rooms are also approximately 45 m² in size.
Also bookable as a Double Room (FR2).
Limited space is available for 2 adults and 3 children.

Katta Family Suite

Family Suites (2FS/FMK) are available as original Schauinsland-Reisen rooms and have been renovated.
The suites are approximately 75 m² in size and consist of two separate bedrooms: a master bedroom with a king-size bed and another bedroom with two single beds, separated by a hallway. Both rooms have their own bathroom with a shower. The double rooms with a king-size bed are equipped similarly to the double rooms and have a Smart TV with an HDMI connection. The rooms with two single beds feature a special lighting effect, a dresser with a Smart TV and HDMI connection, and a chill-out area with beanbags. The power outlets are equipped with child safety locks, and the bathrooms have a step stool and child-sized towel rails.
Please note that Katta and his friends are not graphically represented in Katta's Family Suites.
The Family Suites can accommodate up to 4 adults.

Junior Suite

The Junior Suites (JS2) are approximately 80 m² and consist of a living/sleeping area with extra sleeping facilities and a separate bedroom. The rooms also have a bathroom with a bathtub and a terrace.
Also available for single occupancy (JS1).

Beach Front Rooms (BF2) have the same amenities as standard double rooms but are located in the first row to the beach and offer a sea view.

Breakfast from 7:00-10:30 AM, lunch from 12:30-2:30 PM (winter)/1:00-3:00 PM (summer), dinner from 7:00-10:00 PM (summer)/6:30-10:00 PM (winter), all served buffet-style. Midnight snacks from 10:30 PM to 1:00 AM. Alternatively, dinner can be enjoyed in one of the four à la carte restaurants.
Snacks at the pool bar from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Snacks at the Aqua Bar from 12:00 PM to 4:30 PM and from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Gamila Beach Restaurant. Tea time and pastries from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Sun Ray Lobby Bar.
The main restaurant features Katta's Restaurant area for children, offering an extra kids' buffet and children's tables.
Local alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages are available from 10:00 AM to midnight at the respective open bars.

Katta's Mini Club is available for our younger guests (ages 3-12) in German, offering fun and games with Katta and his friends. It includes a general area with various games, a PlayStation room with a selection of games, and a nap and chill-out room for the kids' afternoon sleep. In the evening, a children's cinema is available in the Mini Club. Craft and cooking classes, as well as sports activities, complete the program. Additionally, there is a playground for the little ones, Katta's kids' buffet corner in the main restaurant, and a mini water park with a pool. A special highlight is Katta's garden: here, children can discover various vegetables that Katta tends to with the young guests.
Babysitting service is available for a fee.

Wellness

The spa area (for ages 16 and up, usage for a fee) is open from 10 AM to 8 PM and offers a sauna, steam bath, jacuzzi, and hammam. Massages and other treatments are available for an additional fee. Prior booking may be required for some services.
