Location

The hotel is located directly on a white sandy beach between Cancun and Playa del Carmen. Cancun Airport is approx. 20 minutes away. Directly off the coast lies the second-largest reef in the world with a breathtaking underwater world.

Amenities

The luxurious resort opened in 2010, features 486 rooms, and is designed in a Caribbean-Mexican style. It offers a buffet restaurant, 6 à-la-carte restaurants (Mexican, Asian, Italian and French cuisine, seafood, grill specialties), 6 bars, a café, 2 swimming pools, 2 large separate children's pools, and a splash park. Towels and loungers at the beach and pool are included, small boutique and internet (for a fee). The Explorer's Club (for children aged 3-12) offers a balanced range of entertainment for young guests at the hotel.

Premium Deluxe

The spacious rooms (approx. 45 m² incl. outdoor area) are comfortably furnished with a whirlpool, shower/WC, hairdryer, bathrobe, air conditioning, satellite TV, telephone, MP3 station, Wi-Fi (for a fee), minibar (daily refill with beer, juices, and mineral water), safe, coffee/tea maker, and a balcony or terrace with garden view. Ocean view available at an extra charge.

Preferred Club Premium Ocean View

With the same amenities as the Deluxe Premium rooms, these additionally feature a whirlpool on the terrace with an ocean view and also offer the following Preferred Club benefits: private VIP check-in and check-out, a large selection of toiletries, pillow menu, a wider selection for the minibar, concierge service, private lounge (Bali beds for a fee), separate breakfast offering in the lounge or on the terrace, warm and cold snacks in the lounge in the afternoon, free Wi-Fi in the rooms, and daily newspapers in the rooms.

Offer the same amenities as the Deluxe rooms and also include a private pool on the terrace.
Rooms with direct pool access represent an increased safety risk for young children. Therefore, for safety reasons, Schauinsland-Reisen requires a minimum age of 6 years for children when booking these room types.

Smoking ban

Smoking is prohibited in all public places in Mexico. This also applies to public transport, beaches, parks, hotels, and restaurants. Violations can be punished with fines or imprisonment.

Seasonal information

Between April and December, there may be an increased occurrence of seaweed and algae due to wind, temperature, and currents. In particular, an increased presence of brown algae is frequently recorded in the Caribbean during this time. This can affect the beach and the sea. The hotel management and local authorities are, of course, striving to clean affected beach sections in cooperation with municipal administrations. This requires the use of appropriate machinery, which may cause a slight noise level.
