Location

The beautiful hotel complex is located on the exclusive stretch of Playacar, directly on the wide, fine sandy beach. Cancun International Airport is approx. 60 minutes away by car.

Facilities

The resort, built in a modern Caribbean style, has 859 rooms spread across several buildings. The sprawling resort offers 8 restaurants (international buffet restaurant, gourmet restaurant, cupcake cafe, Mexican snacks, crêperie, steakhouse, Asian, Brazilian, and Italian), 6 bars & 3 snack bars), a disco (ages 18+), show stage, and a boutique. The well-maintained, tropical gardens feature 10 pools with a separate children's pool and an infinity pool with children's slides, as well as an oceanfront water park.

The spacious junior suites have an integrated living area, a bathroom with shower/WC and whirlpool, hairdryer, air conditioning, satellite TV, telephone, safe, minibar, 24-hour room service, and a balcony or terrace with pool or garden view. The rooms are equipped with either two queen-size beds (2KQ/1KQ) with a sofa bed or one king-size bed (K2Z/K1Z) with bunk beds.

In the Caribbean, most rooms are equipped with two queen-size beds (approx. 1.40 x 2m). If booked for 2 adults + 1/2 children/3 adults, no extra beds will be placed in the room, meaning occupancy is 2 people per bed, even if extra beds are listed on the confirmation!

A tourism tax came into effect on April 1, 2021, and currently amounts to a one-time payment of 224 Mexican Pesos or approx. 11 US dollars per person, regardless of the length of stay in the country.

No smoking policy

Smoking is prohibited in all public places in Mexico. This also applies to public transport, beaches, parks, hotels, and restaurants. Violations can be punished with fines or imprisonment.

Seasonal information

During stays between April and December, increased seaweed and algae may occur due to wind, temperature, and currents. In particular, there is often an increased presence of brown algae in the Caribbean. This affects the beach and the sea. Hotel management and local authorities are, of course, endeavoring to clean affected beach sections in cooperation with the municipal administrations. However, this requires the use of appropriate equipment, which may generate some noise.
