Sustainability

With our "Travel with a Future" label, we identify hotels that verifiably meet recognized sustainability standards. These include, among others, standards recognized by the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC) and the Tourism Sustainability Certifications Alliance (TSCA). Currently, around 20% of the hotels in our program meet corresponding criteria and have been audited as part of independent certification procedures. This product line offers our guests additional guidance when choosing their accommodation.

Smoking ban

Smoking is prohibited in all public places in Mexico. This also applies to public transport, beaches, parks, hotels, and restaurants. Violations can be punished with fines or imprisonment.

Seasonal information

During stays between April and December, there may be an increased occurrence of seaweed and algae due to wind, temperature, and currents. In particular, an increased influx of brown algae in the Caribbean is often recorded. During these times, the beach and the sea may be affected. The hotel management and local authorities are, of course, striving to clean affected beach sections in cooperation with municipal administrations. This requires the use of appropriate machinery, which may cause slight background noise.
