Location

The generously designed hotel complex is located directly on the dreamlike white sandy beach of the Riviera Maya, surrounded by mangroves and palm trees. The airport is approx. 50 km away and Playa del Carmen, with a large selection of shops and bars, is about a 15-minute drive away.

The sprawling luxury complex, together with the Gran Riviera Princess, forms a large overall complex. It has 240 Junior Suites, 312 Deluxe Junior Suites, 24 Laguna Villa Suites, and 96 Platinum Suites, 2 buffet and 7 à la carte restaurants (Mexican, Asian, "Grill Specialties", Italian cuisine, fondue, seafood, international gourmet cuisine), a theatre, 1 sports bar (24h), 9 bars (incl. 3 swim-up bars), a large fitness room and spa area with sauna (treatments for a fee) and a nightclub, shops, free Wi-Fi in the lobby and in the rooms. Outside, a large pool area awaits you, as well as 2 pools separated from the beach only by mangroves, with a swim-up bar, and an attractively landscaped garden area with small artificial lakes and great sculptures.

Junior Suite

The Junior Suites, approx. 56 sqm (including balcony), feature a king-size bed or 2 double beds, a sofa with a table and 2 chairs, a fully equipped bathroom with shower and toilet, hairdryer, air conditioning and ceiling fan, satellite plasma TV, telephone, minibar (water, beer and soft drinks included, refilled daily), safe, coffee machine, iron and ironing board (on request). All Junior Suites have a balcony or terrace with a garden view (JS2/JS1/KJ1/KJ2).

Junior Suite Deluxe

The Junior Suites, approx. 56 sqm (including balcony), with otherwise identical amenities to the Junior Suites, feature a larger living/sleeping area and a bathroom with a whirlpool (J2D/J1D).

Junior Suite Deluxe Pool

These rooms have the same amenities as the Junior Suite Deluxe but offer direct access to the pool from the terrace, as well as a built-in sun lounger in the water. For safety reasons, bookable for ages 13 and up only (J2P).

Platinum Suite

Same amenities as the Junior Suite Deluxe, but with a whirlpool in the bathroom and a whirlpool on the balcony or terrace, close to the beach. Additionally, you enjoy a separate exclusive pool and beach area with waiter service for premium drinks, as well as the Platinum Lounge with newspapers, hors d’oeuvres, bathrobe & slippers, turn-down service, internet access, upgraded minibar, DVD player, separate check-in, 24-hour room service, pillow menu, exclusive continental breakfast, breakfast and lunch à la carte, discounts on green fees and spa treatments, and a welcome gift in the room (PL2).

Note

In the Caribbean, most rooms are equipped with two queen-size beds (approx. 1.35 x 2m). For occupancy 3+1/2+2, no extra beds will be placed in the room, meaning occupancy: 2 people per bed, even if extra beds are listed on the confirmation!

Sun loungers, deck chairs, and beach towels by the pools and on the beach free of charge. All facilities of the Riviera Princess can be used. Wearing water shoes is recommended.
The seafood and gourmet restaurants are not included when booking a Junior Suite.

From now on, hotels in Mexico will gradually introduce an "Eco-Tax".
As a result, every user of a hotel room in Mexico is obliged to pay a levy to the state locally at the hotel in cash, similar to a tourist tax.
From February 1, 2026, the municipal environmental tax will be levied as follows: first guest MXN 35.19, second guest MXN 23.46, third guest MXN 17.60. This tax applies to all guests aged 13 and over, is paid by guests directly at the hotel upon arrival, and is charged per room per night.

A tourism tax came into force on April 1, 2021, and currently amounts to a one-time payment of 224 Mexican Pesos or approx. 11 US dollars per person, regardless of the planned duration of stay in the country.

No smoking policy

Smoking is prohibited in all public places in Mexico. This also applies to public transport, beaches, parks, hotels, and restaurants. Violations can be punished with fines or imprisonment.

Seasonal information

For stays between April and December, increased occurrences of seaweed and algae may occur due to wind, temperature, and currents. In particular, increased brown algae are often observed in the Caribbean during this period. This affects the beach and the sea. Hotel management and local authorities are of course endeavoring to clean affected beach sections in cooperation with local authorities. However, this requires the use of appropriate equipment, which emits a slight noise.
