The complex, renovated in 2025 and surrounded by tropical mangroves, is an adults-only property situated on the dreamlike white beach of Playa Mujeres and consists of 424 suites. For dining, there is an international buffet restaurant, 6 à-la-carte restaurants (including South American, Mexican, Asian, Italian, Seafood & Steakhouse), an exclusive à-la-carte restaurant for Preferred Club guests, a grill, 8 bars & lounges (2 of which are exclusive to Preferred Club guests), and 24-hour room service. Additionally, the Coco Café offers various coffees and snacks. Guests of the resort can also use all restaurants and facilities of the neighboring Dreams Playa Mujeres hotel at no extra cost. The large pool area with two swimming pools, sun terraces, as well as a beach bar and a swim-up bar invite you to relax under the sun. Sun umbrellas, loungers, and beach towels are available at the pool and beach at no extra cost. Wi-Fi is free throughout the complex.

Junior Suite Ocean View

Modern and stylishly furnished, the junior suites offer a true sense of well-being. They feature an elegant bathroom with rain shower, high-quality toiletries, hair dryer, bathrobes and slippers, air conditioning and ceiling fan, a safe, satellite TV, radio, telephone, Nespresso machine, minibar (restocked daily with water, beer, and soft drinks), a seating area with sofa, as well as a balcony or terrace with ocean view (JOV). Also bookable facing the garden (J2G/J1G) or with lateral ocean view (JPZ).

Junior Suite Swim-out

In addition to the same features, the Junior Suites Swim-out offer a view of the lush tropical gardens or the pools, as well as a spacious, furnished terrace with direct access to a semi-private pool. They are located on the ground floor of each building (JSO/JSE).

Preferred Club Junior Suite Ocean View

With the same amenities as the Junior Suites Ocean View, guests receive the benefits of the Preferred Club (access to the new two-story Preferred Club building with separate check-in lounge and exclusive restaurant with ocean view, including à-la-carte breakfast, afternoon hors d’oeuvres, and a 5–7 course tasting dinner menu – 1 dinner per room/stay included from 3 nights; additional dinners for a surcharge of 100 USD per person or 135 USD per person including wine pairing; premium wines included; access to the new private beach club). Preferred Club guests also receive complimentary access to the hydrotherapy circuit (1 day per stay) and a 20-minute intuitive treatment (foot, head, or hand) per person per stay (spa reservation required). In Preferred Club rooms (except PCZ), the whirlpool tubs have been removed and replaced with a deep-soaking tub located on the elegantly furnished private balcony.

Pref.Club Master Suite Ocean View

In addition to the aforementioned amenities and the benefits of the Preferred Club, the Preferred Club Master Suite Ocean View offers a breathtaking ocean view. The suites are uniquely styled and feature a separate bedroom with a king-size bed with ocean view, 42-inch flat-screen TV, chaise lounge, hydro-massage tub for two, rain showers, large double vanity sinks, and a spacious living room with a 46-inch flat-screen TV. Furthermore, the suites offer a private, furnished balcony with a seating area and soaking tub (PMF).
Also bookable as Pref.Club MS Ocean Front on the top floors of the beach building (QWE) and as Pref.Club MS Ocean Front Private Pool, which are located on the ground floor and offer direct access to a private, furnished terrace, a large pool, and the beach (PMP).

Note

In the Caribbean, most rooms are equipped with two queen-size beds (approx. 1.40 x 2m). For occupancy of 2 adults + 1/2 children/3 adults, no additional beds are placed in the room; meaning occupancy: 2 people per bed, even if extra beds are listed on the confirmation!

As of April 1, 2021, a tourism tax was implemented and currently amounts to a one-time fee of 224 Mexican Pesos or approx. 11 US Dollars per person, regardless of the planned duration of stay in the country.

Smoking ban

Smoking is prohibited in all public places in Mexico. This also applies to public transport, beaches, parks, hotels, and restaurants. Violations may be punishable by fines or imprisonment.

Seasonal information

During a stay between April and December, there may be an increased occurrence of seaweed and algae due to wind, temperature, and currents. In particular, an increased presence of brown algae in the Caribbean is frequently recorded during this time. The beach and sea are affected by this. The hotel management and local authorities are, of course, making efforts to clean the affected beach sections in cooperation with the municipal authorities. However, the use of appropriate equipment is necessary for this, which causes a slight level of noise.
