The Palafitos Overwater Bungalows are located directly on the beach section of the El Dorado Maroma Resort, in Playa del Carmen. It is approximately 17 km to the city center. Cancun International Airport is 45 km away.

The luxurious Palafitos Overwater Bungalows Resort is the only resort on the Riviera Maya featuring overwater bungalows. Overwater Bungalow

The Overwater Bungalows offer an elegant design with a quiet atmosphere and privacy, featuring 56m² of interior space and an additional 20m² on the exterior terrace. From there, you can reach the private plunge pool and have direct access to the sea. The bungalows are equipped with a king-size bed, vanity mirror, high-quality toiletries, snorkeling equipment, a safe, a Nespresso machine, and a minibar. Furthermore, the amenities include butler service, a bottle of sparkling wine upon arrival, and 24-hour room service.

The resort is part of the innovative More Inclusive™ concept, which goes far beyond a classic all-inclusive stay.
The offer includes access to the dreamlike Maroma Beach with experiences such as a catamaran and snorkeling excursion, a WaveRunner ride, and a brunch right by the sea with over 20 food stations.

Smoking ban

Smoking is prohibited in all public places in Mexico. This also applies to public transport, beaches, parks, hotels, and restaurants. Violations can be punished with fines or imprisonment.

Seasonal information

During stays between April and December, an increased occurrence of seagrass and algae may occur due to wind, temperature, and currents. In particular, a frequent increase in brown algae in the Caribbean is recorded during this time. This can affect the beach and the sea. The hotel management and local authorities are, of course, making efforts to clean the affected beach sections in cooperation with the municipal authorities. However, this requires the use of appropriate machinery, which may cause a slight noise level.
