The El Dorado Maroma is located directly on the famous Maroma Beach, which is considered one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. The location is quiet, exclusive, and surrounded by tropical nature. The resort is situated on the Riviera Maya, just a few minutes' drive from Playa del Carmen and approximately 40 minutes' drive from the airport.

The adults-only resort offers 128 luxurious suites in various categories, specifically designed for couples and those seeking relaxation. At the heart of the complex is a welcoming lobby with comfortable seating areas. The spacious outdoor area includes several freshwater pools, including a relaxation pool. Culinary offerings are provided by 4 restaurants with international à la carte concepts. Additionally, there are four bars available: the 24 Swim Up Bar, the Mio Swim Up Bar, Rick’s Bar, and the Beach Bar Papitos. The resort also features a fitness center and an extensive spa area with wellness and beauty treatments. Sun loungers, parasols, and beach towels are available free of charge at the beach and pools.

The junior suites feature a king-size bed. Amenities include a Jacuzzi, bathroom with double vanity, air conditioning, ceiling fan, safe, satellite TV, telephone, Wi-Fi, and a balcony or terrace (JS2). The suites feature a king-size bed, bathroom with shower, hairdryer, minibar, air conditioning, safe, satellite TV, telephone, and Wi-Fi. Furthermore, all rooms have a balcony or terrace and are located just a few steps away from the beach (F2W).
From now on, guests in this category enjoy the amenities of the "Royal Retreat": access to the stylish Royal Oasis area with beach butler, as well as private check-in and attentive concierge and butler service. In the room, carefully selected extras such as welcome champagne, a premium-stocked minibar, and exclusive toiletries ensure special moments of well-being. Smoking ban

Smoking is prohibited in all public places in Mexico. This also applies to public transport, beaches, parks, hotels, and restaurants. Violations can be punished with fines or imprisonment.

Seasonal information

During a stay between April and December, there may be an increased presence of seagrass and algae due to wind, temperature, and currents. In particular, there is often an increased occurrence of brown algae in the Caribbean during this time. This can affect the beach and the sea. The hotel management and local authorities are, of course, making efforts to clean the affected beach sections in cooperation with the municipal authorities. This requires the use of appropriate equipment, which may cause a slight background noise.
